BIG rodent post as we’ve got a new addition, and I’ve got another rodent on the way too that I’m very excited about.... I couldn't narrow the pics down any more lol there was just too many good comparison shots to include.

Anyway, I finally managed to get my mits on a Nutria/Coypu! I’ve put captions on the photos so you can see who’s who. He has a much more square cavy shape to his skull than a north american porcupine, of which he is a similar size. He is however slightly bigger than the porcupine and has much more robust beaver like teeth. I really love the brick red colour of his teeth too.
