Ooooough the torture of loving some ship tropes versus the worry that by liking them, I’m adding to the culture of ships being defined by their tropes rather than the characters within, versus the knowledge that tropes are not new nor tiktokification nor bad nor fandom specific and are an integral building block and tool of storytelling as a whole, versus the worry that by liking shipping in any capacity I’m neglecting to love stories for what they are minus romance, versus the worry that I’m so deeply online if I even know about this discourse versus the urge to just go to sleep it’s 1:30 am and none of this matters right now.
