last book i bought: chanced upon a copy of tikim by doreen fernandez a few months ago, then found myself in a biblio more recently where i bought two children's books (top cat, which made me cry in the bookstore, and one on greek gods and goddesses) and a used copy of gone girl

borrowed: haven't been to the library in years but i'm about 80% sure it was a gilda cordero-fernando back in like, 2018

was gifted: oh it's been years! it might have been another copy of mrs dalloway from nicholas, during his last trip to the states back in like, 2018 as well

gave/lent to someone: i like, very accidentally, just ended up giving my copies of trick mirror and fun home to two different coworkers because i lent it to them pre-plague and have been too chicken to ask for them back lmao

started: i'm re-reading noli me tangere because i'm still bummed and angry about the recent elections and refuse to believe that the philippines is ushering in another m*rcos presidency. like that is fucked up but the noli just confirms that this country has truly been fucked since the very beginning

finished: bold of this meme to assume i've finished a book in recent years... perhaps wishful drinking, carrie fisher, at the start of the pandemic?

gave 5 stars: dead blondes and bad mothers from the first half of 2020. i would love to re-read

2 stars: my friend anna, which i devoured back in 2019, but ultimately left me feeling very bleh

didn't finish: wintering, katherine may, in the middle of 2020, for no other reason aside from that i just couldn't read anymore. now that my brain is less broken maybe it's time to return to it
