Ive been playing rf5 a uh *looks at the almost 200 hrs i have for the game* you know a normal amount, anyways i wanted to draw and share my own interpretations of some of the monsters in the game so lets start off with a wooly and a fleecy shall we lol (aka my personal headcanons woop woop):

- fleecys are just woolies with a rare and unique genetic mutation that has given them pretty pink fur and are highly sought out by monster tamers, woolies are also popular pets as their natural docile nature makes them easy to tame and get along with, kids love them!

- woolies are one of the most common monsters found in the wild, they live in herds in fields and forests alike, and despite their sheepy look woolies are very much opportunistic omnivores (can and will eat carrion and hunt animals if they need to, many do not know this and can end up stumbling across a poor chipsqueek being chowed down by a herd of woolies)

- naturally curious to a fault, their curious nature makes it easy for orcs, goblins and human hunters to lure and hunt them for their meat and pelts

you know, a really random praise i have for RF5?

is that RF5 has my favorite Plain Girl

like, every game except for 4 has one romanceable girl who's just... really normal. she's clearly supposed to be the default love interest, especially since in 1-3, she was very prominently on the boxart.

RF had Mist, RF2 had Mana, RF3 had Shara... and RF5 has Priscilla.

and here's the thing. Mist, Mana, and Shara were absolutely never characters i ever considered romancing. i didn't hate them or anything- i even liked having Shara around as a friend quite a bit- but there just wasn't enough to any of them for me to consider them as serious prospects. they were the boring option.

(which is honestly surprising if you know me- historically, i've got a tendency to get really incredibly attached to the more plain characters in series' that have otherwise more bright and colorful casts. look at my obsession with Tsugumi Hazawa from Bandori. but in Rune Factory 1-3, the Plain Girl just kinda faded into the background for me.)

but Priscilla in Rune Factory 5? she's battling neck-and-neck with Ludmila for the title of my Second Favorite Bachelorette (Lucy's easily snagged first place). she's WILDLY likeable

Ludmila from Rune Factory 5 is a compulsive liar 💕

1. Her backstory of being like a recovering succubus feels like an analogy for being a recovering compulsive liar. She's still a succubus, but that doesn't make her inherently bad, she's trying to at least not hurt anyone.

2. I ship her with Fuuka, who is described as honest to a fault. Opposites attract, encouraging recovery, Fuuka trusting Ludmila even after Ludmila tells her she's a compulsive liar.
