Worst lueasly drabble ever

Missing in action idea

Word travelled to the beanbean kingdom that the mario brothers have been involved in a situation with King boo and the paranormal

That apparently mario had found himself on the receiving end of a kidnapping to which luigi disappeared after him alone

Now, Peasley has zero doubt that luigi is capable to any situation.

But he can't stop the feeling of pure dread when this news is possibly weeks old and there has since been no update on either plumbers condition.

He assumed luigi was busy or his letter had gotten lost. I mean- luigi is usually very fast replying to him!

The mushroom kingdoms princess also seeming to go quiet at the same time this appears to be occurring

Peasley finding himself shell shocked at the idea of the brothers- more specifically luigi - in a situation they can't get out of

There's been no call for aid. Lady Lima too having not heard from toadsworth. Its as if all contacts between both Kingdoms have gone cold.

Peasley personally volunteering to go to the mushroom kingdom to aid. Queen bean, although anxious, waiting to wait till there's more information or a sign that aid is needed. she won't send her son into danger willingly. Despite his efforts for her to reconsider

Peasley usually follows all orders, he's a good prince and better son,, but he finds himself pacing long into the night, sending letters out to the neighbouring kingdoms and to luigi himself. Maybe it's just an error? Maybe they're already back?? The beanbean kingdom is very far away so news is sometimes outdated

He just works/ worrys himself into a fit. Ending with him arriving at his mother's room early into the morning with a distraught expression and tears threatening to fall.

Please! Let him go! He can't rest! He can't eat! He has to know!! The kingdom- the princess- the brothers- Luigi!

Queen bean comforting her son, promising that come morning, they'll send a messenger,, go from there,, He's too precious to risk,,

Not the right answer

Peasley leaving a note come the morning, that a messenger (he) has been sent and that he will return with news on the situation as soon as possible,,

That he hopes his mother will forgive him for this,,

The prince traveling alone with only his rapier, a few supplies and his flying stead. Arriving at the mushroom Kingdom and all but bursting into the castle without so much as an introduction. Startles the fuck out of toadsworth who seems tired and stressed more than usual.

It dawns fast what this is seeing the prince's concerned yet determined face.

He's not in the mood for royal pleasantries.

He asks straight what on earth has been going on?! Why has it taken so long to inform them of such a situation.

Toadsworth blabbering about that he had more pressing issues and that without mario, who could even help substantially?

It's irritating but peasley didn't come all this way to yap and argue.

Details. Give them now.

Toadsworth is beyond defeated, living in anxiety for one day had driven peasley mad he couldn't imagine being in that state for weeks

So information is transferred. King boo has been an issue for a while, but never on the scale of anything more than a pain in the mario brothers side.

Yet, he had the Princess this time.. a trap, some enchanted building that was used to lure the Princess and brothers away.

Luigi initially stayed behind till contact was lost soon after mario and the princess had all arrived.

All toadsworth could offer peasley was the rough address and warning that the area was shrouded in shadows and magic,, people who had gone in,, hadn't returned,,

Luigi included,,

So the prince bowed a farewell and exited. Toadsworth calling out after him to 'NOT BE BRASH' that he can't loose another royal! Lady Lima would never forgive him!

But like always, when Peasley wants to do something, nothing can stop him.

So much to the old toads fret, he leaves. Following the instructions to a trail long outside the mushroom kingdom.

After a few hours (nothing compared to the days or so travel from the beanbean kingdom) he starts to see what looks to be the hints of a dark purple fog creeping over distant hills.

That must be it,,

Closing in peasley stops short of the entrance to a dark wood. The fog is far too thick to fly through, else he wants to be knocked to the ground a few stories in the air. So with a soft promise to his flying bean of a safe return, he enters on foot into the heavy fog.

It's cold, no sunlight, the air feels thick and almost cotten like, dries his mouth immediately. Its a distasteful feeling.

But the prince persists and caries on. Choosing to follow tyre tracks that lead through a twisted path of nothing.

He can barely see where hes going. One hand gripping the handle of his rapier tightly, prepared to fight at a moments notice.

There's a loud rumble from deep in the woods. It shakes the ground and the trees aggressively vibrate. Peasley being knocked to his knees for a moment.

A vibrant purple glow peirces through the fog. It's dull so clearly far away.

Peasley finds himself back on his feet and running towards it. Faster as it's glow gets brighter.

Something is wrong- he can feel it!

He needs to hurry!!

He's already late enough!

As he approached the trees begin to thin out. A large opening in the forest greets it. Miles of nothing but thinner fog and a tall ominous building.

The glow from the top almost blinding. Gravity seeming to pull the roof towards it.

Peasley can only stare in horror.

What is that,,?

Before the prince can even move, lighting strikes the top of the building, there's distant sounds of,, something. He can't make it out.

But after a few seconds there is yet another loud rumble. The building before him cracking and shaking the ground. Again peasley can barely stand as everything shakes.

Peasley starts to run over after another moment of hesitation

luigi wouldn't have hesitated.

The blinding purple light starts to weaver, shaking and seeming out of control.

Just as he was getting close to the building. The purple light explodes through the sky. The fog seemingly blown away with the shock wave.

The air suddenly feeling cleaner, fresh,, there's light peaking through,,

Whatever it was, it's stopped now.

Yet the trouble isn't over. The building again breaks and shakes but this time it starts to collapse.

Peasley whistles for his flying bean. Its safe to fly, he has to get there Now

The building crumbles from the bottom up. Leaning suddenly to the right as it falls.

Peasley zips through the skies and as he gets close he finally sees it..

Sees him

That speckle of green

Falling from the roof with a loud yell, clutching tightly at what eppears to be an art piece

He's falling

Everything in the prince body screams 'catch him!' 'CATCH HIM'

He won't miss this time

Luigi is suddenly swooped up into the prince arms dangerously close to the ground.

A few more seconds and he wouldn't have made it,,

Luigi is unable to process what is happening fully. Gripping tightly at the picture frame is his arms as peasley grips his body.

'LOOK OUT!!' Luigi screams.

Peasley barely weaving through the collapsing walls and building from crushing them both.

The landing is sudden and rough. Both men being thrown off the bean when it's nicked by the ground. Rolling a few metres into the ground,, definitely going to feel that later,,

But yet,, they're alive..

The remains of what was once a building litter the ground, dust having been brought up with the crash.

Peasley coughs a few times before finally making it to his feet. Admittedly a bit shakey. Immediately he turns to the plumber who had yet to even sit up.

He rushes over. Yelling his name with suddenly urgency

Luigi!! LUIGI!! Are you alright??!

He's by his side in seconds, helping pull the man to sit up. Luigi coughs harshly his entire body shaking as he brushes the portrait off with sudden nervousness.

Now closer and not- you know- nearly dying. Peasley takes in the figures on the picture. Mario,, the Princess,, and- is that the professor from the beanbean coffee shop-?

Luigi brushes any dust off the portrait and props it up against some debree.

Looking now to luigi, Peasley sees a device strapped to his back. Bright red in colour with what looks to be a tank full of green goo??

Before he can even ask luigi shines a torch onto the painting,, it's canvas lighting up in hues of blue and Violet. It's oddly beautiful if not very concerning,,

The Princess emerges from the glow, her face frightened before relief washes over.

Following after is luigis brother, mario. Fists up and ready to fight.

And finally the said professor. White lab coat and all.

The three tumble out from the painting all in diffrent stages of dizziness and confusion.

Luigi is quick to hug and embrace his brother.

There's a quick reunion that peasley almost feels he's imposing on till the Princess seems to notice him and startles for a moment.

'Prince peasley?'

There's nothing but confusion and a bit of worry in her features.

Now all eyes are on him..

Ah-

He bows and smiles with a flick of his hair. Best to default when nervous.

"Your majesty! So good for you to be seen unharmed! You had my mother and entire kingdom so worried with your disappearance!"

Her face dropped with a soft apology that she hoped everyone wasn't too worried,,

He could only laugh with another flick of his hair

"You have given old toadsworth quite the fright!"

Her expression again shifted, this time to that of an odd smile. There we go,, much better..

Luigi then stepped forward when chatter started between mario and the Princess.

Peasley found himself staring as the younger brother now stood infront of him,,

He looked,, tired,, oh so tired,, eyes dull and hair a mess, his mustache had seen better days.

Clothes tattered and very well worn,, his poor luigi,,

Wait his-

That thought was interested by luigi softly asking if the prince was alright. To which peasley assured him that he is perfectly fine,,

There's a long pause before the prince could feel himself starting to realise what had just happened,,

Oh,,,

Oh god

Did,, did he really just save luigi?

Luigi could've died

He finds himself reaching out slowly, allowing the plumber plenty chance to pull away.

But yet,, when peasleys hands cupped the green man's face he leaned into it,,

",,I was so worried about you,,"

His voice cracked a little, making luigis eyes widen a bit.

"You went missing,, I didn't know where,, - and I know thats somewhat normal for you but-"

He found words struggling to form. His hands shaking and heart hammering.

Was he truly about to cry,,?

"When I heard,, about King boo,, I couldn't- I had to come help! It's not that I doubt your abilities- you're the strongest person I know! Luigi- I care too much to loose you! Please I-"

Luigis hand softly grazed his over face. Prompting peasley to immediately stfu. Luigi gently whipped away the tears that had fallen down his cheeks. He said nothing as peasley shook under his gaze.

Oh god he sounds pathetic-

He's made a fool of himself!

Peasley breaks away and rubs at his face.

"My apologies- I shouldn't have-"

Luigi suddenly embraced him. It was a warm yet tight hug. It left peasley frozen,,

'Thankyou,,'

He nearly missed it,, that soft voice from luigi.

Thankyou? Whatever for?

'You saved me,,'

Oh,,

Peasley slowly returned the hug,, burying his face into the man's chest with a shakey exhale.

Peasley finds his voice after a while

'Of course,, I'd do anything for you,,'
