The HS cast living as disguised normal people in Earth C au is so funny to me because, I think most of them could come off as just some guy, maybe a little weird or really excentrict, but nothing that could make you think ''Oh, theyre actually the disguised gods of Earth C!!!'' (maybe with the exception of Calliope, rip)

But then they would drop the most insane shit out of nowhere, Jane is talking with her coworker and how one time she was checking out the mail and it exploded because an assasin planted a bomb on it and her coworker would look at her horrified, only for Jane to go ''HoHoHo Joking :B!'' and just go about her day and the coworker

Or Karkat takes his kid to a doctor check up because he has to be up to date in the vaccines and he would be like ''I DON'T GET WHY WE HAVE TO COME UP ALL THE WAY HERE FOR THIS, WHEN I WAS HIS AGE I PUT ALL THE VACCINES BY MYSELF!'' and the doctor justs freezes and be like ''Sorry, could you repeat that?'' and he would and they just stare at eachother in silent

Okey Dave leaved like, three/four years before Karkat fostered Luis, basically, Sburb trauma/Becoming a God at 13 and realizing your semi-immortal trauma is what happened

Dave and Karkat had a pretty good relationship for the most part, but Dave was starting to feel uncomfortable about being a God and he was starting to wonder if he was even human anymore, it didnt help that he found out that Karkat wouldnt want to become immortal with him and everything went to trash from there, Karkat's unresolved guilt and trauma also started to affect his attitude and their relationship starting to went downhill over the years

At the end Dave decided he needed to be left alone and think about what being a God meant and left, he cut contact with almost everyone because he just wanted to think for a while

Anyway, 6 years passed since he left and he wanted to apologize to Karkat for just, leaving out of nowhere and

They dont really care about Dave at first, they didnt really find out that he was Karkat's ex until much later, they saw him as ''aunt's rose lame brother'' and the babysitter and make his life hell lmao

I always imagines Karkat as one of those adults who says stuff like "IN THE OLD DAYS HE HAD TO HIDE IN THE DIRT TO SURVIVE" and how "HE USED TO HUNT FOR HIS FOOD LIKE A REAL TROLL" or whatever and his kids obviously think that he is exaggerating or lying about some stuff but then they found out he is from Alternia and theyre like "Wait"
