Seven hours from Sydney, nestled in the countryside, white architecture defined by slender cast iron columns, built in 1880 for a prominent ranching family, stands out against a perfectly manicured lawn. The Estate, as it is known today, was then the heart of a large farm with stables, market gardens and cultivated fields, living quarters for the workers and even an emporium for the sale of necessities to the European settlers of the region. Owned by the same estate for over a century, it was acquired by a young couple with two children who wanted a life away from the chaos of the metropolis. The undertaking of renovating it, making it habitable in a short time, projecting it into a sustainable future, was entrusted to architect Luke Moloney in collaboration with design studio Arent&Pyke.
