January was never going to be a great month in the northern hemisphere and we all knew that but the @jepnews today reported that Jersey has had the dullest start to the year since records began in 1925 with only 6 minutes of sunshine in the last 7 days. 6 MINUTES!!!! Luckily I received a Lumie wake up light for Christmas and for it set up yesterday, I was woken by a gradual sunrise and birdsong, it was lovely and definitely less of a shock than the usual alarm and darkness.
