It’s rare but sometimes I am out of ideas which doll to choose for the weekly photos because ... there is so many to choose from.

This time the dear @sbslink helped me and suggested Sakura as I talked about ideas for photo spots <3

Tinies are so hard to pose when you don’t just drop them somewhere but have props to use.

Well, this little lady was probably the toughest faceup I’ve done because of how dark she is. All the faceup artists out there who paint dolls darker than this all the time I don’t know how you do it but I salut you. Also moment of silence for how gorgeous that highlight on her cheek bones turned out. So looking forward to seeing her all styled when she gets back home! Note: she was dyed by Sid not me.

i got this far one weekend in june, but i gotta get back on it. i’m trying to be patient but i want to do shiny little scales on olivia real bad. i’m kinda flying by the seat of my pants with luna, which is fun. ❤️

more cassy and polly photoshoots- wanted to showcase their new lemon.jelly.shoppe eyes i got them some months ago! So happy about that YwY i really need to buck up and work on their costumes, but the process of making and testing a unique template takes sooo much energyyyy *makes templates for several other dolls like it’s no problem... *

The year Sakura arrived we had a bit of snow too and I always wanted to take her out into the snow again. She truly fits the scenery, a shame she is so tiny, I would have loved to let her pose more but the tiny delf body has its limits.

i finished Luna’s faceup and I honestly am so in love with her. baby. sweet angel. i’m working on her wig right now (and i hope it turns out laughs weakly) because I want to have her ready for costumes soooo badly.

i hope in time i will get more skilled at faceups, because i do wish i could have made her green eyeshadow more vibrant- but i’m happy with it as a first version so yay!!!

i have nicer photos on my instagram over here, which i completely forgot i can crosspost to until this very moment. ahahahaha.

ADAW16/52 - A new beginning

Who would have thought that I would take the photos for my season spirits of Winter and Spring a few days apart? They are just in two different weeks... the weather is really weird. But Sakura looks so beautiful in these blossoming branches. As I was a bit unsatisfied the last time I took photos of her I am amazed myself how good these turned out. ♥

This set comes a bit later than the last ones because I had no spoons to prepare photos yesterday. 

The morning sun is bright and beautiful, the wind strong here right now, it was a bit of a hassle to take photos of a doll when you put it in a tree with small branches and the branches all go LET’S DANCE IN THE WIND.

ADAW 22/52 - Garden

Sakura is the perfect doll for my tiny garden, the overall feeling fits her concept so much. But crawling in the garden is not really a fun thing OTL but Sakura still looks cute and that’s more important ♥

Finally Sakura’s reign began. All the trees started to blossom, bees are buzzing everywhere and the land starts living again.

Finished the Seasons-Diorama ♥ the light was a bit annoying, either the sun made everything too light or it was too dark, lol.

I’m happy I found a spot for them, the tiny Ant is still missing, but will be added as soon as she’s back.

Sakura got her Kanzashi and is now officially complete ♥

BJD End of Year 2020 tag!! Fashionably late as always, but hey 🤷 All sculpts and a short questionnaire under the cut.

1. End of year doll family photo: shown above!  In the photo we have... my 3 msds in the back row, from left to right: Void-Hime (Loongsoul Wanwan), STARCHASER (green Doll Chateau Bella) and Yellow Jacket, my partner’s muscular Model Delf LUTSDOLL body waiting on his head to arrive. The next line starting from the far left is my still-around 21cm obtisu Hye-Rin (Nano Haruka) and 36cm Pisces (Doll Chateau Wanda). The rest are YOSDs! Pyxis (green Gem of Doll Cia), Mana (Dollzone Niuniu, who I need to dye), Olivia (Dollzone Candice, so nice to see her together ;_; ), Unnamed (Bobobie Isabella on a DZ youth body), and Cecilia (Doll Family A Bibi on a Littlefee body). Last row is all my bitties and floating heads! Skipping hye-rin, we have a triad of LUTS tiny delfs: Cassidy (Jack), Luna (Mytyl, she’s a Tiny20), and Pollyanna (Tyltyl). Then curled up next to her is March, my Dollzone Ivy, and Nova, my Pukipuki Cupid3. Last but not least are my two floating heads who are waiting on bodies this year- Naelia, Doll in Mind Laia (dreaming/half closed eyes) and Honeybee, my Unoa Sist Bully with a buffdolls headback. 

2. How many dolls did I buy this year? I acquired 5 dolls, one head, and one body. Isabella's new body + Pyxis (October), Olivia's new shell (June), Luna (May), Honeybee's head (April), Mana (march), and Nova (January).

3. Tell us the best thing that happened to you in the doll hobby this year. Despite how messy 2020 was I still managed to score two grails (Nova and Honeybee) within months of each other. That was a little stressing, but also delightful?? +//_//+;;

4. Tell us the worst thing that happened to you in the doll hobby this year. The earthquake in April really freaked me out and now I have a hard time deciding where to display my dolls.. or anything fragile for that matter. 😰 The only other thing I could think of is managing money when sudden releases/sales/discontinuations happen, that’s always a drag no matter the year //laughs

5. Show us your three favorite things you got this year.  pyxis’ silver sneakers, chases’ iridescent jacket (and the silver one they’re wearing tbh), and the cutest halloween skirt for mana.

6. What is your new year’s resolution? I’ll make a whole separate post for this, but the gist of it would be... to continue finishing everyone’s main looks, defeat the wig monster, give bodies to the headless, and layaway the last few wishlist dolls as soon as I am able. And sew as much as possible! (•̀o•́)ง
