We went out to get some vaccines (TDaP and HPV bb) and stopped by Bookmans to see if they'd buy some of our books off us, and I also stumbled upon this girl in the toy section!

I think she's ResinSoul or Bobobie Isabella, and she was $24 (before teacher discount) so obviously I picked her up. I like her handmade-looking faceup and eyes, and I was looking to get a RS/BBB this size. She needs a little cleaning up, and her stringing is so loose that she's basically a puppet, but hey, can't argue with the price.

My sister meanwhile found a dozen World of Darkness and Call of Cthulhu books, so today was a big day in terms of cool stuff bought.

After many.. many months of humming and hawing, I finally figured out a name for her! Here is Maisie!! Or Mae for short! ( I can finally update her profiles... oh the sweet satisfaction!!!)

She is a Bobbie isabella on a 1/6 lanky dollzone body 💕 I sewed her a skirt and cardigan that suited her. Finally. I'm pretty in love with how she's coming together so far. I'm going for a dark green mumsy bookworm kinda girl. Her eyes are a bit big for her (they're 14mm) so I may fix that but I sure do love her with dark doe eyes 😍

She’s been on quite a journey with me, this little one. I wasn’t sure if she’d end up staying, but every time I hold her I fall in love all over again- maybe even more than before. I’m debating dolling up her faceup some more, and restringing her with fresh elastic later on. But for now, she sure is cute- and she fit these odd sized tiny yosd shoes SO WELL I just fainted from cuteness.

I have neglected my BJDs so bad as of late. Finally got my girls some new clothes.

My baby girl is just about done! I’m just waiting on my order of gloss and her eyelashes. Her eyebrows are too dark but that just means I can throw any color of wig on her and it’ll look natural. I’m so proud of how she turned out as I wasn’t feeling too hopeful about her in the beginning. 

Her name is Fausta and she’s here to make a damn mess.

someone please help lmao - i have a bobobie isabella im trying to restring, and i'm hardcore struggling with her hands. i can't tell if im somehow missing two s hooks or if im just stupid and can't figure out how they're supposed to attach to her arms. if you  have an isabelle or any other bobobie/resinsoul 1/6th doll can you like show a picture of her wrists or write out how they work??? id assume they're s hooks but i genuinely have no idea how i would have lost both of them

Part one is here! And now onto all the endless doll-related goodies... Those blue eyes I asked for turned out to be shockingly gorgeous and tri-toned with teal and purple. Ohmygod. I might get attached but I had some in the mail for her already!! AHHH!!

So there she is, wrapped up in the cutest little handmade pillows EVER!!! Oh, she’s a Bobobie Isabella, I think I’m her third owner! Yeah, baby’s first BJD and all that- but I was honestly so reverent for a while... I couldn’t stop petting her lmao. I had no idea resin was so soft and pretty, she doesn’t feel brittle at all. (I was sooo nervous!!) I was in love the moment I saw her face, I cannot wait to try faceups... I have all the materials ready, just waiting for the weather now....

So on that note, I made a doll.. craft... hobby blog! @busybeecrafts 

It’s not for reblogs, just a personal blog I can freely dump photos of my various doll projects without feeling bad about it ahahah ʕ*ﾉᴥﾉʔ I actually take a lot of photos of my progress (that aren’t exceptional quality or anything) so I’d feel bad spamming that sort of stuff here all the time, especially since dolls can creep some people out! So I thought it’d be fair to do it separately- so anyone interested in the hobby- or any of my crafty hobbies- is welcome to follow! I’ll reblog stuff from here to there that’s relevant like felt plushies, but all Doll stuff will stay there for the most part. I’ve been dabbling in customs and sewing for a long time, and these little projects are probably what I would consider my hobby away from drawing, which I haven’t had in a long time!

This is part two of three technically- Because I’m staggeringly shy about said doll photo spam, I’ll be posting part 3 on my dolly blog. It’s where I spent two hours playing dress up with her.... so it’s optional lmao. ://|;;

BJD End of Year 2020 tag!! Fashionably late as always, but hey 🤷 All sculpts and a short questionnaire under the cut.

1. End of year doll family photo: shown above!  In the photo we have... my 3 msds in the back row, from left to right: Void-Hime (Loongsoul Wanwan), STARCHASER (green Doll Chateau Bella) and Yellow Jacket, my partner’s muscular Model Delf LUTSDOLL body waiting on his head to arrive. The next line starting from the far left is my still-around 21cm obtisu Hye-Rin (Nano Haruka) and 36cm Pisces (Doll Chateau Wanda). The rest are YOSDs! Pyxis (green Gem of Doll Cia), Mana (Dollzone Niuniu, who I need to dye), Olivia (Dollzone Candice, so nice to see her together ;_; ), Unnamed (Bobobie Isabella on a DZ youth body), and Cecilia (Doll Family A Bibi on a Littlefee body). Last row is all my bitties and floating heads! Skipping hye-rin, we have a triad of LUTS tiny delfs: Cassidy (Jack), Luna (Mytyl, she’s a Tiny20), and Pollyanna (Tyltyl). Then curled up next to her is March, my Dollzone Ivy, and Nova, my Pukipuki Cupid3. Last but not least are my two floating heads who are waiting on bodies this year- Naelia, Doll in Mind Laia (dreaming/half closed eyes) and Honeybee, my Unoa Sist Bully with a buffdolls headback. 

2. How many dolls did I buy this year? I acquired 5 dolls, one head, and one body. Isabella's new body + Pyxis (October), Olivia's new shell (June), Luna (May), Honeybee's head (April), Mana (march), and Nova (January).

3. Tell us the best thing that happened to you in the doll hobby this year. Despite how messy 2020 was I still managed to score two grails (Nova and Honeybee) within months of each other. That was a little stressing, but also delightful?? +//_//+;;

4. Tell us the worst thing that happened to you in the doll hobby this year. The earthquake in April really freaked me out and now I have a hard time deciding where to display my dolls.. or anything fragile for that matter. 😰 The only other thing I could think of is managing money when sudden releases/sales/discontinuations happen, that’s always a drag no matter the year //laughs

5. Show us your three favorite things you got this year.  pyxis’ silver sneakers, chases’ iridescent jacket (and the silver one they’re wearing tbh), and the cutest halloween skirt for mana.

6. What is your new year’s resolution? I’ll make a whole separate post for this, but the gist of it would be... to continue finishing everyone’s main looks, defeat the wig monster, give bodies to the headless, and layaway the last few wishlist dolls as soon as I am able. And sew as much as possible! (•̀o•́)ง

Legit Bobobie Isabella YOSD, 27mm BJD, two sets of eyes, original pillow bag. Does not include the stand pictured. Condition is Used. 

I bought this doll at the beginning of the year through DenverDoll.com and while I love her, I've decided to sell her and get something more articulated. The doll has a beginner level faceup, slight body blushing, and white acrylic yarn wig (I am willing to wipe the face and body clean and/or exclude the wig upon request). She comes with her original bag and two sets of glass eyes (the black pair that's in her head and a separate aquamarine pair). She could use a bit of cleaning and the hook on her skull cap is slightly chipped but totally unnoticeable while placed on the doll. Doll's joints are all single jointed and I'd recommend restringing her. 

Excellent for a beginner BJD hobbyists who is just trying to dip their toes into the hobby!

My sister plans on moving out soon-ish and she was packing a few things. She gave me this small wagon but unfortunately, it’s too big for Fausta (that’s her name now btw) and doesn’t suit Cicero. I’m sure I could think of something funny to do with it though.
