if i had more comprehensible thoughts, I would probably write a text post on how the Hunger Games trilogy and the Underland Chronicles share a thought that the only safety is in death-- and how they move on to assert that living in the uncertainty, processing the pain, having hope, and striving to find peace are still worth it despite not being “safe.”

Did Gregor ever look back on his experiences in the underland with older, wiser perspective and realize how horrifically and shockingly genuinely awful the Regalians were? To literally the entire underland?
About likely events and choices that would get their society to were they were and how their people reacted to things that told him about their culture? Things he didn't see and is now nauseous about?
Implications about their impact on the environment by the way other species interacted with and spoke about them?
Also that they were a cult?

Concept: Ingo sees his chandelure floating around with a bunch of eggs and chews out Emmet for it. Only it’s not Emmet’s fault. Chandelure snuck out and was naughty and came back with eggs and now it’s Ingo’s turn to be swarmed with babies
accidental framing whoops </3 turns out the ghost is just a slut
