Day 2: How does your Kaiju travel around?

You would think a giant Octopussy would swim, right? But that causes huge tidal waves and flooding when she gets near to shore, so they have given her a giant jet pack* instead :)

I had fun with the 'unnatural' textures colouring in, and for the stars and rocket contrails. For anyone interested, I'm using Macromedia Fireworks MX.

*Also not environmentally friendly, I know, but it's in the style of a kids' cartoon okay. And when you really analyse those, there is a LOT wrong, what are we teaching our kids honestly...

I’m deadass kinda stupid. For years I didn’t realize that Fireworks is for creating graphics and Photoshop is for editing existing images. So all the while wee lil’ ignorant me is using Fireworks for everything and not realizing the things I always tried to do were a million times easier in Photoshop.

learning to draw with this tablet instead of the mouse is prob gonna mark like, another noticeable change in how my art looks last time was when i lost access to macromedia fireworks and was stuck with just (windows xp edition) mspaint, which is when/why i adopted the ‘no anti-aliasing’ look. i think my lines aren’t gonna look quite the same now with this tablet. maybe. idk
