Mafukasa swap au, with in game screen cap edits

Things that swapped:

- Parents level of overbearing (Tenma’s are incredibly suffocating, while mafumom is well intentioned but left mfy alone far too much)

- roles in the group (Emu is WxS’ leader, while Mafuyu is Niigo’s)

- appearance of Sekai (Tsukasa has a more monochrome/depressing vibe, while Mfy’s is fanciful and colorful)

- outward persona (Tsukasa is the golden boy, perfect at everything, well mannered, etc. while Mafuyu is outgoing, confident, helpful (even when it’s not asked for), etc.)

Things that did not swap:

- Gender, and therefore school’s they go to

- which group they’re in

- familial situation outside of parents (Tsukasa is still Saki’s older brother and the Tenma’s are still close with the Aoyagi’s, Mfy is still a single child)

- Tsukasa is still the one with memory issues, so Mafuyu is influenced by bad memories from her past from the get go instead of slowly remembering them (she is still completely unwilling to actually engage with said memories even if she remembers them though)

- Which VS’s they start with (Mafuyu is just miku, Tsukasa is Miku and Kaito)

Other important things: (if interested)

- Saki and Tsukasa’s relationship is a lot more strained, Saki has incredibly conflicting feelings about her brother and Tsukasa always has his front up, even around her, so they can’t have a proper conversation

- Toya also has a stilted relationship with Kasa, both the Tenma’s and his father tended to compare the two boys. So while he still looks up to Tsukasa, he has some reservations about weather his admiration is genuine or just feelings implanted in him from the adults. Toya’s much closer with Saki, as he visited her a lot in the hospital (initially at Tsukasa’s request)

- Mafmom is a single mom, and a doctor. Needless to say she is busy *a lot*, bcs of that she’s always needed Mafuyu to be self sufficient and responsible, far before the age one could reasonably except for a child. She still loves Mafuyu very much and always tries her best to give her daughter a free and happy life

- Rather than an actor, Mafuyu found her passion in writing poetry. She wants to become the best poet of all time, which is what leads her to writing lyrics for K’s songs. Only the best composer could possibly support the best lyricist after all!

- Mafuyu’s love of writing comes from remembering all the times in the past her mom would come home late at night, looking exhausted both physically and emotionally, mfy would stay up to see her and then the two would cuddle under the blankets and read together. In those moments it would really feel like none of the rest of the day existed and all those pains and anxieties would slip away from her mother as they were transported to another world in their stories

- some time into this ritual, mafuyu started writing her own stories for her mother, and while Mafumom said she loved all of Mafu’s writing there was something special about her poetry that completely dispelled all of mafumom’s bad feelings and just let her live in the lines of text

- after that poetry became mafuyu’s life, and her Sekai is built off her desire to help people feel better with her work.

- Tsukasa’s Sekai also doesn’t match canon mafuyu’s it’s not built off his desire to disappear, instead it’s his desire to be his own person and figuring out who he even is in the first place (the other three can enter his sekai due to their shared desire of wanting to be themselves without getting hurt for it)

- Tsukasa hopes that by acting, he might resonate with a role and it’ll help him learn more about himself

- since they’re in the images, fun fact, Ruikasa kizuna rank title is ‘charity case’ (in place of 1-2 weirdo wombo combo) due to people assuming perfect, golden boy Tsukasa only started spending time with Rui because Teachers were hoping he would keep Rui out of trouble and get other students to look at Rui more favorably (thus Rui is Tsukasa’s ‘charity case’)

- while kanamafu’s kizuna rank is ‘please take a break’ due to both of them trying to constantly get the other to take better care of themselves. Mafuyu always saying Kanade needs to eat and sleep rather than composing all the time, while Kanade is desperately trying to make Mafuyu realize that working all day and putting ‘110%’ into everything she does, is infact unhealthy and not ‘the work ethic every good writer should strive for’ (it is not working on either end, Kanade is too guilty and mafuyu is too deep in denial)

I have a lot for this au, but making certain things is,,, difficult. To say the least

A request that's gonna be quite angsty but there's really no way that I'm going back now that I'm typing this, can you do poly vbs with a reader who's in a similar situation like mafuyu? Like how Mrs Asahina (ain't no way I'm calling her mafumom) restricted mafuyu from activities that are connected to niigo or music, so readers mom is basically just pulling a Mrs. Asahina move, and like how would vbs help reader during this momment?

◇ TRAPPED - (Poly!) Kohane Azusawa, An Shiraishi, Akito Shinonome and Toya Aoyagi x Reader

Honestly, all of them felt like something was off for a while now. You couldn't stay out with them too long, and when they asked to go over to your house, you'd politely tell them they couldn't

All of them want to respect your boundaries, of course. They love you, and nothing would ever change that...Except finding out just how controlling your mom is, of course

All of them are very tempted to give her a piece of their minds. You're the best partner they all could ask for, and the woman who calls herself your mother dares to treat you like this?

But, Kohane has to reason with everyone that lashing out would only make things worse. So, they come up with a plan of action to help you as best they can

They agree that they can't act too hastily, but the moment that your mother's control becomes too much, they're prepared to help you out

In terms of who to stay with, An will be your best option. Her parents definitely won't mind the company, and you could probably help out around Weekend Garage

Kohane is your biggest emotional support through everything. She's there to listen to how your mother's treatment has been making you feel, and validates it all

Akito is there if you want to be angry. He's all for rage towards parents, and is more than willing to help you vent your anger as best you can

Toya is there to help soothe you. He's a quiet supporter, offering you the space to talk all while listening with attentiveness. He may not have the words, but he's a comforting presence

Overall, the four of them work together to help support you through everything. You can expect a cuddle pile with them in An's bedroom as they all reassure you that you made the right decision in leaving <3

Here some general things about my g/t Au Sekai of Various Au that i definitely did not gatekept in my drafts for 4-5 weeks in the darkness.

And because i tagged all of them, i know some people doesn't like this this type of content so you can view under the cut.

• Leo/Need chants Steven Universe's Giant Woman song around Honami in her giant form.

• Shizuku also embroiders Shiho's clothes, by Shiho's clothes i meant the tiny ones.

• An literally invited VBS to her room. Despite it being literally 10 inches tall...

• That's how they found that she’s a Tiny.

• Emu likes to be picked up. The higher the better.

• Toya is the opposite. Despite being tiny, he liked the floor thank you very much.

• Ichika loves to give her girlfriends finger pats.

• I said it and I'll say it again. Akito is Ena's personal uber.

• One time someone told MMJ to kick off Minori since she was a "pest" and Airi told them to More More Jump off a cliff.

• Mizuki thought that Akito was a Tiny. Oh were they super duper wrong.

• Not g/t but Kohane drinks vinegar. Like straight vinegar. Idk why i thought of this but i have been. For quite a long time.

• Rui is very curious on how humans taste and Nene is mortified.

• When Akito first spoke to VBS in his giant form, they were flabbergasted with his voice. It was already that deep normally, it couldn't get any deeper.

• An doesn't enjoy being picked up as much as Emu but she sure as hell loves to be on someone's hair as long it's not Toya's.

• Minori doesn't appear in her Tiny form a lot in the livestreams at first due being scared of backlash thanks to...*ahem* the obvious discriminations towards Tinies. But now after Airi literally went off with that one person she now appears in her Tiny size more.

• Everyone in the stream gushes about how adorable she is on stream.

• Shizuku fusses over Shiho alot more than canon since Shiho is a Tiny. Said Tiny is not pleased.

• (HC ADOPTED FROM JUNI @/honey-and-lemon-gt) Tenmama bought Saki a dollhouse when she was little and she absolutely loves it.

• It comes with a weird cat toy and a cheap plastic figure that is totally not Snow White (/j).

• Shiho and Honami were invited alot while Ichika just sits outside. Poor Ichi ;-;

• Whenever she is at Kanade's, Honami oftens shifts into a Tiny to clean the little crevices and shifts taller to clean the ceilings.

• While An, Emu, Shiho and Saki usually uses their enhanced Jump Boost and Increased Stamina to move around their normal human houses. Ena doesn't get that luxury as a human so there are lots of little staircases in the Giant Shinonome household or use Akito as uber.

• Samo is ½ inches tall.

• Akito loves to pickup his tiny friends (Not Toya for obvious reasons) for no reason.

• Nene is insecure about her size and has believed that she would never make friends due to it.

• She was quickly proven wrong the moment Emu entered her life.

• Haruka gets protective of Minori whenever Minori's tiny. It's just that she's so smol.

• I SAID IT AND I WILL SAY IT AGAIN. AKITO AND LEN ARE BROTHERRSSSSSSSSSSS. GIANT BIG BRO AND TINY LITTLE BROOOOOOO-

• Kid Rui once held Kid Nene as if she was a newborn.

• Emu got lost o n c e in Tsukasa's hair.

• He had a panic attack, almost tried to shave his hair bald if it meant finding Emu.

• Tsukasa often buys Saki alot of tiny embellishments and miniature items so she could decorate her dollhouse.

• When they're in the rollercoaster in Kohane's Buddy・Funny・Spend Time ♪ event story, An and Minori were in their Tiny form as Kohane and Haruka desperately clutched onto them the entire ride so they wouldn't yeet off the coaster.

• An pulled a Ratatouille on her friends once.

• When Mafuyu went to Ena's in her 3rd Focus Event (I forgot it's name but it's the I-Nandesu event), she lied to her mom that Ena's house is very far away so her mom wouldn't restrict from going to Ena's house, which is. On the Giant Section

• On the same event, Ena also lied to Mafumom that instead of being Shinei's daugther, she is Shinei's student. Since the ugly ass witch would suspect her being Shinei's student less rather than being directly related to him.

• Airi is super protective as a Giant. Anybody who badmouths MMJ will get a fist from this gal.

• Tsukasa is very experienced in dealing with Tinies considering that his sister is a Tiny and his totally-not-illegally-adopted little brother is a Sizeshifter.

• Akito treats Ena more roughly than other people smaller than him due to Cain Instincts™

• Whenever Saki faints in her Tiny form, everyone in the vicinity goes nuts.

• Kohane is also really good at dealing with Tinies. Proof being Minori, Shiho, An and Toya

• Mizuki bluescreened the first time they went over to Ena's.

• They still tease Akito regardless of him being a Giant.

• They also pull off a Ratatouille on him.

• They also pull a Ratatouille on Rui too.

mafuyu: my favorite in the whole game. its odd considering that i used to absolutely hate her. i hated her for the same reason that most ppl hate her. i thought that everyone was overreacting to her problems but then i realized i was projecting my own insecurities onto that so i started to love her. ill pull her mothers hair out in clumps

kanade: my second favorite in the whole games. i just relate to mafuyu more. her hair is nice. we both hate going outside ♡︎ idk how shes paying the bills but either way i feel bad for her she lost so many ppl she loves & shes trying to protect someone she loves & i want a friend like her but i dont think itd be healthy but do i care? not really. i love kanade i wanna give her a comfy blanket to sleep with.

mizuki: this was very hard to do cause i couldnt decide to put them or kanade in the number 2 spot. ig i just have the smallest bit of more bias towards kanade. anyway their such a good friend big w for telling your bestie to run away (/serious) ily queen teehee were both transfem she/theys who hated life also their singing voice is the best out of all the characters

ena: ok i wanna like her more than i do but i just hate the way she treats mafuyu its like she thinks mafuyus a burden for not having conventional feelings a lot of ppl ik irl are like this so i dont care for ena that much but she obv has her moments of clarity ig but shes better than shiho (not sorry) also she abuses akito idc what ppl say

akito: i feel bad for the way ena treats him but i do wish he wasnt an ass sometimes but hes gotten better & actually has depth so i like him lots cause his voice is really good also his event stories are good i wish he had more event stories that were centered around him

an: 100% she ahouldve been the vbs leader my theory is that she looks too much like ichika ig & thats why. theres probably some reason that im unaware of. i like her event stories a lot shes a good character i like her determination also caucasian destination boy was her canon event not her discovering nagi is dead

kohane: shes cute & all & her singing voice is good. but she just feels like a copy & paste of minori, vice versa. her determination is cute & all but she just feels like super basic her outfit is cute tho ig.

emu: you ever meet someone so cheerful its almost intimidating? anyway shes adorable & deserves the world i like her lots i think shed give good hugs even tho i hate being touched id like to hug her at least once her event songs are good but im not a huge fan of once upon a dream

tsukasa: mr showtime is fire. he & emu would be in the same spot but i like emus singing voice better so 🤷‍♀️ he & mafuyu probably are systems (shoutout to hearth4days) my guy has glass child syndrome his parents are lowkey neglectful i love his big brother thing hes got going on i wish he was my big brother. his laugh is loud but nice

I am so sick and tired of seeing Shinei Shinonome bastardised by the fandom in Fics for someone’s plot. He has issues, he knows what the art industry is like and while he doesn’t know how to be a good parent he’s trying his best. It doesn’t excuse his actions because Jesus he could be so much nicer and go about this is an entirely different way but like he’s nowhere near Mafumom.

Harumuchi gets the exact same treatment where they make his actions so much more worse in fics or Au’s however it is at least more understandable considering the shit he’s canonically done to Touya. Though I do think they should revisit Touya’s relationship with his dad at some point since after nocturne since it has apparently gotten better that doesn’t mean there isn’t anything else to touch on, plus their relationship is important to Touya and Touya fes card when it comes to his relationship with the piano/violin

Prsk fans really do seem to lack media literacy because is spelt out in the text as well

YEA YOU GET IT its literally in the stories. You can see shinei getting better in unsatiable pale color which was the second niigo event??? Its not even a new thing hes been getting better for a while now..

And for harumichi, i dont really follow the stories on vbs so im not an expert for his character but i did read nocturne when it was released. he accepts toya's decision at the end right ? Even if he still doesn't agree I don't think he would continue to berate toya for choosing street music after that event

Ohh my god toya's relationship with the piano . I saw an instruments to prsk characters assignment list a while back and some people were getting upset bc toya was paired with the piano and were talking about how cruel it was. Like i said im not a vbs expert so i cant comment on it fully but i thought his relationship with classical music got better after nocturne ? He doesn't hate the piano anymore wasn't it in his fragment sekai too??
