Do you think that the drop in new talented juniors during the Tokyo quad could also be due to more gymnasts not attempting elite/going to level 10 earlier? With all the scandals surrounding usag I certainly wouldn't blame them. Plus college gymnastics seems to have gotten even more popular the last few years.

I think there is more lag in this than that. I think the Nassar scandal and upheaval at USAG doesn't make people switch quite that fast but I think relative lack of depth in this (the Paris) quad can be attributed to that.

I don't know that you can read a switch path narrative to anyone that's already reached this level and even if you wanted to with Dennis and Flatley they were seniors before the scandal broke. What this doesn't show is the army of juniors Texas Dreams in particular had during this period.

"FOR ROBBING MAILS," Ottawa Citizen. October 15, 1913. Page 1. ---- Letter Carrier Gets Four Years in Penitentiary. ---- Albert Gosselin, 30 Water street, letter carrier, was sentenced to four years at hard labor in the Kingston penitentiary by Magistrate O'Keefe in police court this morning, on a charge of robbing the mails. The information was laid by Post Office Inspector T. Coolican, who said that he had suspected Gosselin for some time. On the 4th October, the accused had appropriated a registered letter and its contents, $20, fraudulently signing the receipt book. He took a trip to Rigaud with the proceeds. Mr. Napoleon Champagne entered a plea of guilty on behalf of the prisoner, elected to be tried by the magistrate, and asked for clemency. Inspector Coolican was not adverse to a lenient view of the prisoner's offence, because Gosselin's family connections are highly respectable, and the boy's plight is a heavy blow to his mother. The maximum penalty for an offence of this kind is imprisonment for life: the minimum being a term of three years. The prisoner is 21 years of age, and single. About twenty postmen were present in uniform for the hearing.

[Gosselin was convict #F-666 at Kingston Penitentiary, and worked mostly in industrial shops. He was reported once for misconduct in February 1915, and lost 3 days remission. He was paroled at the end of 1915.]

I did it, my friends! I achieved my 105-mile 🚴🏾 ride goal and pedaled 107.5 miles to fight kids' cancer! And with September now officially over, I will give my legs a rest for only some days. LOL You know I love being outside. I will reflect on all I've achieved to support childhood cancer research and save little lives. I raised $1,000! and my fundraising goal was $550! As of right now, together with the rest of the cyclists, we clocked in 3,107,605 miles and raised $10,452, 486 (so far) to give kids with cancer the brighter futures they deserve... And it's all because of YOUR support I was able to be part of an amazing group. To celebrate this year's challenge, Cayden (pictured w/Thank you sign) was diagnosed with a rare form of leukemia called acute lymphoblastic leukemia PH+ when he was only 3 years old. He endured two years of chemotherapy treatment, and despite some post-treatment side effects, he's now enjoying life as a normal kid. ❤️ THANK YOU TO MY SUPPORTERS WHO SUPPORTED ME THIS SEPTEMBER! It wasn’t easy choosing to go level 10. Letting go of all the dreams I had been working towards for my whole life. I just had to choose what was best for me. I am super grateful for my time in elite. It gave me the best memories that’ll be cherished for the rest of my life. This was my very first level 10 meet ever. You might be wondering how... well I went directly from level 9 to elite when I was 11 so I never did a level 10 meet. I couldn’t be happier!
