i havent been able to play any mods because mod loader has an error 0xc00007b do u guys know anything about that. i've googled it and no solutions help

Ensure you obtained the stuff on the Mod Manager Gamebanana page under "Required"

They are absolutely needed for mod manager to function. Some can have been preinstalled by other games you've gotten but not always.

If you already have them it'll stop the download telling you, but if not make sure to get them!

here are the download pages for each games respective mod loader, which include instructions on setup and some things you have to download to make the app work properly. once you have them downloaded into the folder with their respective games exe game file, you can download and extract any mods you want into the folder labeled "mods". i have a list of mods that i like to use here:

Is anyone working on an update to the emerald radar mod for SA2? Currently as is while nice, the lack of the red bubble with the exclamation point when detecting other shards besides the one actually beeping makes it a pain at times imo.

Do you have any idea why there are virtually no character swap mods for SA2? For games like Generations or Forces, there's a ton of character mods. There's even a few for SADX though less common. Is SA2 itself just difficult/impossible to mod in that way?

The format is being difficult to work with and there’s no real like importer for custom models. MainMemory’s got some character swaps up on GameBanana if you’re interested though.

[Updated] You can now select Alt Characters in the Chao Garden Character selection menu!

Created by Justin113D, this new mod will allow you to select normally unaccessible alt characters such as Metal Sonic and Chaos in the normal character select menu for Chao Garden instead of having to hold buttons like other codes do, now its as if they’ve always been there!

Note: This mod is not compatible with MainMemories CharSelect mod,which may crash the game if both are used!

Like other mods you need the SA2 mod loader and the ability to extract files to your SA2 Mods folder!

Will Sonic Adventure 2 ever get mod support similar to Adventure 1 at all? How come it isn't thriving in the scene with it's current tools?

Developments in SA2 modding have been made recently. Notably, MainMemory ported Emerald Coast to SA2. Plus, there’s the Dreamcast Chao Gardens mod now.

I released a HD GUI pack for SA2 not too long ago. Not anything code-related, but still something.

Holiday Mod (Month Version) By MainMemory

Wanna be even more spooky? Grab yourself the Holiday Mod (Month Version)! This will make it so that your characters will change skin throughout the duration of September, October and December!  How to Install mods for SA2B:

First, download SA2 Mod Manager.

Extract the .zip file in your Sonic Adventure 2 folder. By default it should be “C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Sonic Adventure 2“

Look through the list and download any mod you would like. Once you have the mod you would like place the downloaded folder in your mods folder that came with SA2 Mod Manager.

In case you don’t already have it, you need to download Microsoft Visual Studio in order to get these mods to work. Install that and everything should be fine. Skip this step if you already have it.

Open your Sa2 Mod Manager and click “Install Loader” at the bottom right. Once you are finished, scroll through and enable the mods you would like. To enable them hit the empty box, to indicated whether it’s enabled or not it should have a check mark in the box. When finished, hit “Save and Play“
