I'm bringing Hexy back.

Good visual reference on Hexadecimal (And Reboot in general) is shockingly hard to find, so when I found a guy who had done 4k upscales of the series on YT, it was time for some screencaps.

It's a pity the first(ish?) truly all-CG cartoon was probably not preserved in a state that would let it be re-rendered at higher resolution. What was at the time a massive technological undertaking could be rendered real-time on a mid-tier computer now.

Her whole mask-swapping gimmick was, itself, a way of turning tech limitations into an interesting feature. Save time on facial animation and lip synch while making her more memorable.

Every action cartoon series needs a villainous femme fatale, and Hex dispenses with most of the subtlety. She's a dominatrix-witch with a, uh, sprite-tight red leather bodysuit and latex or possibly black painted metal gloves and thigh-boots.

None of us should have been surprised by Blackarachnia is all I'm saying.

And like any good villainess, she's got a full on murder-mode.

And this is going to take more than one post.

I was shocked today due Reboot Related stuff!

Hi there folks! Hey sorry about this, I was going to draw today, but I was shocked due something that happened today.

Today, I went to the supermarket ro buy groceries, and I had a normal day, until I checked my emails, and received one of someone saying they had the show Reboot in spanish from mexico and that he was selling it, but the user in question wanted me to pay more than 1 month of payment of my ancient job aprox for it. And his reasoning for this is that “he also took a lot of years looking for it and at the end he had to buy it to another retro series collectionist and payed a lot of money for it"

And I was so shocked...

My mind just shortcircuited at that instant and I just....I don’t know what to say about this.

I'm sure what this user is doing is illegal. I don’t think I’d pay this much money for any official avaliable series in dvd or blue ray in these days. Moreover...how I can be sure the user is honest?

How I can be sure the show is in spanish from mexico and not in english or spanish from spain?

How I can be sure this user is not going to take my money and then deactivate their email and go away with my money without giving me anyting?

The answer is: I don’t know. And for some reason when I read that email, my danger sense activated. So with all the pain of my heart, I erased that email to not be tempted to reply and give this guy money.

He may have Reboot in spanish from mexico like he said, but I think  the amounth of money he wants in return doesn’t seem fair. My brain ( aka Faikel *chuckles* ) said it smells like scam, and I believe him. He is always right. Plus in any case, I have still no job so I have no money to give anyways.

It just...is sad....

It breaks my heart I’ll probably die and will never watch Reboot again with the original Spanish from mexico voices.

The saddest thing is, that I don’t remember very much of the show right now, so I’ll probably never be able to know why I loved Phong....

He was one of my first cartoon crush, and he was also my role model when I was a kiddo and a teen....and now I don’t know why. And I never

I feel a huge void on my soul due this, that haunts me and tortures me, and I think probably will be with me until my dying day if I don’t re-watch the show to know why I loved phong.

I feel like if I’ve lost a part of myself...of my self-identity.

A part of my soul, lost forever...

That’s why I'm still looking for Reboot season 2 as it was aired in Mexico. And if someone who’s reading this have the show in mexican spanish and has a fair deal that isn't an scam, I’ll be glad to give the few I have to buy it.

I also can enchange it with other shows and movies I have that are difficult to find. Or in enchange of help translating and putting subtitles to movies/shows in english. Or audio montage,  I also know how to  add mexican spanish audio to original version in english videos of series and movies.

I want to watch this show again in spanish from mexico, it’s one of the things I want to do before I die.  

By the way, yeah I know buying from someone isn’t precisely the "most proper” option to watch the show either, but is not my fault. If Mainframe Entertaintment cared about Reboot fans from Mexico they would have made avaliable a dvd of seasons 1,2, and 3 (the ones that were aired in mexico) I would just buy the official relaease of reboot season 2 in MEXICAN SPANISH!! But no Mainframe! You don’t care!!! And this is why I find myself in these shocking situations with scammers like this.

Sorry again, I know writting about this in english probably isn’t of much help...But I just felt writting this would help me to calm a bit, so I could sleep tonight. I hope I can sleep tonight...
