I have seen so much on social media the past few days about the argument of whether we should be sending our kids back to school..... The media isn't helping by writing stories and hyping it all up but my opinion is this... Yes I am concerned for their safety! Yes I am concerned for their education! Yes I am concerned for their mental health! Yes I am concerned about their well being! What I did was make sure the school have all the correct procedures in place, weigh up the probability that they could get ill by the many other life threatening illnesses there are in the world and how their lack of education will affect them in the future. I want them to be safe, I want my family to remain safe. I have protected them since March, restricted their shop visiting, made sure we stayed social distanced and they understand that we need to keep our hands clean etc. So many parents have taken their kids to the parks, beaches and holidays during the Lockdown, when the virus was at its worst and I made sure I kept mine away from the hustle and bustle. All my kids have strong immune systems , and from what I can gather the majority of the cases were in adults. Now I feel that as long as the school are prepared, they have sanitiser with them (the older ones) and they follow the guidelines, i feel that a sense of routine and normality will help to allow my kids to grow up with a higher sense of awareness.
