Naha’s Tug of War (Naha Tsunahiki) can be traced back to the 17th century.
The rope is usually around 200 meters (650 feet) long, weighing around 90,500 pounds, and around 1.56 meters in diameter. The tug-of-war takes place each year, and the rope is rebuilt—and stretched a bit—each and every time. Tons of straw are painstakingly hand woven into strands, with each 40 strands being twisted into a thin rope. Nine thin ropes become a larger foundation rope used to form both the main ropes, each about 100 meters long, and to accomplish a band wrap around the bundled individual main ropes [Source].
For more information, you can read about it on Visit Okinawa or Naha o-tsunahiki.

Loading Mamiya 645e with Fuji C200
Loading Mamiya 645e with Fuji C200
Este vídeo é para mais tarde recordar.
This video is more to remember.
Not because of the “loading” of the film because that will happen several times, but because of the film that has just been discontinued by Fujifilm.
Obrigadinha Fuji!!
Thank you Fuji…

I got into photography back in the film days, first on 35mm format, then gradually moved to medium format. I went from a Kiev 88 to Mamiya 645E and liked my results. This was soon to be replaced by all digital gear when I was both convinced it offered equal or…
