oh god oh god i hate organising events why can’t people keep to timelines that they promise
#trying to hire a venue like#sends a request two months in advance#sends a follow up 6 weeks in advance#pesters incessantly for 3 weeks#gets rejected from venue hire#inquires with another venue#verbal communication can’t 100% lock it in but consider it done#two weeks out just need to confirm the paper work#one week out sorry i need to speak to the hire ups#i postpone the event by a week to make it work#week of which is now one week before yes let me confirm tomorrow#2pm Friday of said week sorry can’t confirm in time find somewhere else#i call up a third place and manages to make a booking w them outside of their usual arrangements/notice periods for the second week and#manage to reschedule our first week to another day so another venue ive been communicating with who had the wrong availability now works#it’s now 3:30pm and finally everything is looking okay#get a call from the second venue to say surprise actually we can host you for both weeks#but ive confirmed with other venues now also their price is supposedly $250 for like 3.5hrs and no that’s wild the booking i made literally#2hrs ago for next week is charging me less than half that#anywaysss i will problem solve tomorrow when i hear back about their real price cause if it’s $250 screw them
