Reposted from @manatee_forever (@get_regrann) - These baby Manatees were rescued from the rubble of Hurricane Irma in September 2017. Since the violent storm separated them from their parents, they have cared for by humans..and it has not been easy! They require bottle feeding every three hours, social nurturing, swim/depth training and more! Once they reach a proper size, they will once again be released into the wild. Via @thephotosociety ~ Despite Sea World’s horrible reputation for essentially plucking sea animals from their homes, the employees themselves are dedicated to the health and well being of animals and participate in a variety of conservation campaigns. Whether it is a PR stunt or not, Sea World actually has done a spectacular amount of good in regard to animal rehabilitation and conservation.
