Harry was sick of being far from her, he hated seeing her talking to other guys and hearing his father talking about she getting married to a rich guy with a great future. He couldn’t give her that, he was just a bodyguard that lived in a small flat with his dog. He looked at his phone and messaged here “You look nice today”, then he looked up and saw her, Harry gave her a smile and then he looked away.

For the last few months Marcus hadn’t been himself. The always smiling, positive guy was now gone and there was this serious, dull looking one instead. After losing his girlfriend in a car accident he threw himself in work to take his mind off of the painful reality and it kinda stuck. This was Marcus now. Hardworking, without joy in his heart and numb.

Marcus was confused when he heard the doorbell. Who would want to visit him so late? Putting his coffee mug down on a coffee table he got up to open the door and be face to face with his next door neighbor. “Hello.” He might be antisocial, but he was still a gentleman and it would be rude not to greet her.
