Tencent Games Resmi Tambahkan Map Library di PUBG Mobile

Setelah sebelumnya sempat bocor mengenai kehadiran map bernama Library di Internet, akhirnya pada update 0.19.0 ini Tencent secara resmi telah menambahkan Map tersebut di PUBG Mobile secara global. Tentunya, bagi kalian yang pernah bermain game Point Blank sudah tidak asing lagi dengan map yang satu ini. https://youtu.be/0z9gxQQtdwk Map Library menjadi map baru yang dimana mengharuskan pemain untuk berlomba mendapat point paling banyak yang bisa didapatkan dengan cara membunuh musuh. Nantinya masing-masing tim akan berisikan 4 orang pemain. Menariknya lagi, setiap kalian berhasil membunuh musuh dengan senjata tertentu, maka senjata yang kalian gunakan tidak dapat digunakan kembali didalam permainan. Nah, Tim yang berhasil mendapatkan 18 point kill akan menjadi pemenang. Map library kini sudah tersedia dan ditemukan dibagian Arcade di game PUBG Mobile. From our Holy Land Maps collection, here is #18: Terra Sancta : a Petro Laicstain perlustrata, et ab eius ore et schedis a Christiano Schrot in tabulam redacta. It was published in 1584, and made by Christian Sgrooten. It features a fun, green monster for today’s #monstermonday!

I wish I didn’t have to say this, but the Geography Department’s Map Library at SFSU is getting rid of a large portion of their map collection.  Tomorrow (8/4) will be the first day of a five day sale. There are a wide variety of maps: 7.5 minute topo maps, large wall maps, and historical prints.  The prices are very reasonable, ranging from $1-$30.  I really wish we could just keep all of them, but times have changed.  Please come and give these beautiful maps a loving home.

The Map Library recently acquired this large map, which was attached to wooden rods for hanging.  Since we plan to roll this map for storage (it is too large for our flat flies), the rods had to be removed.

The map is too large for any of the tables in the conservation lab, so I decided that it would be safer and easier to work on it in the Map Library.  I was able to remove the nails holding the rods in place. 

My work is far from done.  There is a lot of surface dirt, and the map is pulling away from its linen backing.  One corner was badly damaged and has a large loss.  More on-site conservation work is in my future!
