This weekend was proof that being present is a key element of transforming visions into reality. I am so thankful. NYC has wrapped me up in love and inspiration. To have my couture pieces from House of EmmaEffa on exhibit in our first NY art gallery, meeting incredible artists, collectors, curators was such a thrill. The intimate conversations with new actor friends and and dinner after the show. Then to meet Claire Sulmer and June Ambrose and get their positive feedback on my work! Life! But to know that Claire will be rockin MadamCJ hat is subliminal bliss. Tapas and sangria with my cousin TIna in Soho for dinner and then avocado toast with my fine-ass sister Free (one of the few authentically funky women I know) was just what I needed. Free made sure I had water and fruit for my trip back. Love. We discussed upcoming ventures (very exciting), business, love and, of course fashion.
