After they get together - publicly - most people assume that Wednesday and Enid will be all over public displays of affection. But nothing really changes. There is the occasional hand holding and peck on the cheek but nothing really that couldn’t be explained by saying they were best friends rather than girlfriends.

That’s all different behind closed doors of course.

In public their close friends - and anyone stupid enough to keep track of them - notice small changes.

Enid appears to be attached to Wednesday by an invisible elastic band. They are ALWAYS together, or very close. Enid bounces back to Wednesday constantly when they are out, checking in on her, whispering little things to her, showing her things. Wednesday barely says a word but it seems that just a nod or the faintest smile is more than enough for Enid. They seem to use a unique silent language between each other, and damn it’s effective. It’s like a little dance they do - Enid returns to Wednesday and Wednesday always welcomes her back into her personal space but with barely a noticeable movement.

Wednesday changes even less. She has the same stoical look, albeit slightly softened, as ever before. Unmoving unless necessary. Stiff, straight backed, eyes unblinking and seemingly emotionless. But if you were to watch her you would notice one very important change. She never takes her eyes off Enid, unless there is a specific task in which it would not be possible to complete without tearing her gaze away from Enid - such as reading or eating. At all other times she sits and watches and adores Enid with every fibre of her black heart. There is no one else for her, Enid fills every thought and hope and desire she has for the present and the future. Enid is her life force, as if Enid heart is pumping blood for both of them. And although her face never shows it, Wednesday is so happy it’s almost too much to bear. So her joy leaks out in the efforts she makes to ensure that Enid is happy and content every second of every day. Just like her father before her, she is blessed with finding the love of her life and nothing, no person or situation, will ever come between them.

Wenclair Wedding

The moment Wednesday saw Enid walking down the aisle she died. Literally. Just for a few seconds her heart stopped. She had to sit down for a few seconds to recover, in which time Enid had hitched her dress up and ran down to the front to her wife-to-almost-be. Enid undid the top two buttons of Wednesdays dress shirt to help her breathe.

The sight of Enid’s glistening blue eyes and the feel of her warm hands cupping her face brought Wednesday back to the land of the living.

And that’s when she knew the curse was really a blessing.

She knew the moment she was parted from Enid by death, hopefully many decades in the future, she would meet her in the afterlife only seconds later.

The curse - blessing - linked their hearts together so tightly that if Enid’s heart stopped beating her own would fall still forever as well.

“Are you ok Enid?” she asked shakily as her fiancée helped her to her feet.

“Of course I am babycakes - but are you ok to continue?”

“Of course cara mia, nothing could stop me. One question, what did you think when you first saw me just then?”

“To be honest my little cutie my heart stopped for a couple of seconds.”

“Yes that makes sense.”

“What does?”

“I’ll tell you later.”

A few minutes later, as Enid slipped the ring on her finger, Wednesday wondered how she had been so lucky to have met Enid Sinclair - now Enid Addams.

But then her wife kissed her and she just stopped thinking altogether.
