Junior Mance "Touch !" 美しく現代的なピアノ・トリオの傑作モダン・ジャズ。 久し振りのカット盤、MP4ですっかり慣れ親しんだ私にとっては定番の大好きな作品です。冒頭"Zabuda"の印象的なフレーズが最高！ Regent Sound Studios録音&ミキシング、リリースは1973年11月、ですが録音年月日が何故か不明...,。 ジャズでは珍しい #PolydorRecords レーベル ‎(PD 5051, Polydor ‎- 2391 076)、エンボスのかかったマット調のジャケット、盤に傷が多くパチパチ音はレコクリンでもすべては取り除けません。 録音評から... ピアノは美しく繊細なマンスらしい音色。ベースが軽くエレクトリックな現代的な音色である点、ドラムスもハイ・トーン寄りのバランス、この辺りが本作の特長を表しています。70年代らしい洗練さとモダン・ジャズのエッセンスが見事に融合。そう、East Windの音作りに似ていますね。時代もちょうど重なります。 カートリッジは、audio-technica AT150E/Gの軽さがベスト・マッチング。古いカートリッジなのでダンパーは硬化しているかも知れませんが、ポテンシャルは非常に高いです。当時最高峰でしたから。音造りは現在にも着実に継承されています。低音域の迫力を求めるならShure M44-7を薦めます。 演奏も含めて、彼の代表作でピアノ・トリオの名盤"Junior"に決して劣らない聴きやすい作品だと言えると思います。いかにも彼らしいブルースではなく、"Let's Stay Together"はアル・グリーンを一躍スターにした大ヒット・ナンバー(全米シングルチャートで1位を獲得)。ストリングスを取り入れたビートルズの"Something"など、当時の流行歌を取り入れ、ファンキーでリリカルな演奏を聴かせてくれる快作。いわゆるジャズらしくない選曲は、専門家の評価は低くなる傾向があります。それが、ネットに情報や批評がほとんどない理由なのでしょうか... 。いい音楽って理屈じゃないと思いますが。 #JuniorMance (p) #MartinRivera (b) #BrunoCarr (ds) Recording Engineer - #BobLifton Produced by #MarvinLagunoff Strings arranged and conducted by #BillFischer String section arranged and conducted by #WilliamFischer 私の基準、ジュニア・マンスのおさらい... 1928年10月10日に米イリノイ州シカゴ生まれ、ピアニストであり作曲家。｢ブルース・ピアノの神様｣とも言われ(かなり大袈裟だと思います)、30枚を超えるリーダーアルバムをリリース、サイドマンとしても100曲を超えると。1947年にGene Ammonsのバンドに参加するために大学を中退しキャリアを開始。Cannonball Adderley、Coleman Hawkins、Eddie "Lockjaw" Davis、Sonny Stitt、Dinah Washington、Johnny Griffin等多数のジャズ・レジェンドと共演。2006年には妻のGloriaと共同で自身のレーベル/音楽出版会社、"JUNGLO MUSIC INC."を設立、同社から彼自身の最新作"For My Fans, It's All About You"初め4作品をリリース。音楽活動は引退しましたが、いまだ健在。 #jazz #fuzey #vinyl #jazzvinyl #vinylcollection #jazzrecords #recordcollection #ジャズ #スイングジャーナル #レコード ※作品を知り、ジャズの素晴らしさを伝えたい。様々なソースをアレンジ、先輩諸氏に感謝。 https://www.instagram.com/p/B3yMS-Rp0M4/?igshid=1jce4dj2w11ah

Puzzled as to why people keep using “murder in wrong-apartment” language to reframe a cold blooded murder. How about Amber Guyger convicted of killing unarmed man, Botham Jean #BothemJean Her boyfriend, whom she was texting at the time, is another murderer with badge named #MartinRIvera he shot and killed a unarmed 17 year old in the head who was suspected of stealing a candy bar in 2007. I swear I saw Martin and Rio leaving a bar together the other day! Her hair and flair are unmistakable, and I totally saw him with his arm around her shoulder on their way out. Is #MaRio back at long last?

I’m not sure if I have a “type” -- almost anybody has the potential to be that person who’s smile makes your heart feel like butter sliding down warm toast. Right now though, I think the top ten cutest people in Auradon have to be @grahammonocolao, @tenneyboudreaux, @evandeavor, @orvillerobinson, @larkleclair, @felicityflor, @gabrielgacela or @farrahgodwin because @penelopetaylor has dibs on @martinriveras, @edentriton, @bowierock, and @giamarcovaldo‘s cousin @andromedapagura!
