Album Number One Hundred Sixty Two. “The Buckinghams’ Greatest Hits” My copy is a later reissue of #columbiarecords original 1969 release - PC 9812 For one brief shining moment, #thebuckinghams sat near the top of the music world. Make that a few moments, actually, as all seven of the group’s chart hits came within a two year period, 1967-1968. Formed in Chicago in 1966 and, after a couple of personnel changes, the most consistent line-up was guitarist #carlgiammarese , vocalist #dennistufano , bassist #nickfortuna , keyboardist #martygrebb and drummer Jon-Jon. Released on the small USA label, the Buckinghams’ first and biggest hit, “Kind Of A Drag,” topped the Billboard Magazine Pop Singles Chart in 1967.
