The Court of Queen Valaena is proud to announce the arrival of {MARTYN, LORD} of {HOUSE DONDARRION} to King’s Landing. The {TWENTY-EIGHT} year-old {CISMAN} is known to be {BALANCED AND EDUCATED} but will this Winter reveal that they are also {SECRETIVE AND CALCULATED}? They look like {MARCUS RUTHERFORD}, and they {DO BELIEVE} the tales of the Other returning. Here is hoping they can band together with everyone else, and repel the coming darkness!

When you think of duty and honour, it’s impossible not to think about Martyn Dondarrion. He’s one of the youngest children of Ruling Lord and Lady Dondarrion and from a young age, Martyn took his position very seriously. He attended his lessons and sessions on the training grounds, studying about different subjects although his real interest was in the battlefield. He wanted to be a warrior, to reach the position of knight one day. Of course, his main goal is to have the chance to join the Queensguard one day but he knows he has to do a lot to prove himself worthy of the position. Martyn wanted to make his parents proud, more than anything he wanted to serve his house well. There was always a fear on the back of his mind, that he would end up being a failure and a disappointment to his parents, that he would fail and let everyone down. That self doubt would eat at him but with each passing year, Martyn grew more confident on his qualities. Along with his interests in politics, he was also interested in learning more of the history of his house, along with Westeros as a whole. 

Martyn is known for being fierce, courageous and strong, all qualities that are expected to be found in a future knight. Along with that, whenever he had free time, he liked to help out around Blackhaven, often going to the small folk and offer his help. It wasn’t something that would often be seen from a lord, but Martyn believed that it was a good way to keep people happy. And at the end of the day, he would be seen sharing a drink with the small folk at the local tavern. He always had a big sense of adventure since he was young, wondering what it would be like to take off and explore the unknown.

Martyn has proved himself a capable fighter in many tourneys, even managing to win some. Although, he's far from being thought about for a future position in the Queensguard. He knows he has a long way to go but he won't give up, he will prove himself worth of the white cloak.

ANNOUNCING !! ser martyn hightower of house hightower hailing from old town. they are known to be loyal & dutiful but also, overprotective & ruthless across the realm. there are faint whispers that they support house targaryen alongside their house.

Martyn was adopted by the Hightowers when he was five years old. His parents were servants of house Hightower for many years, his mother worked in the kitchen of the castle, while his father was the master of arms. Both died of a horrible disease and since he didn't have any other family left, the Hightowers took him in and raised him as one of their own. He never felt like he was treated differently for being adopted, he had access to the same lessons as his siblings and trained to become a skilled fighter.

While he was thankful for what was done for him by the Hightowers, Martyn never truly felt like a lord. He took his duties seriously, never missing a lesson and being an example but he dreamed about being a knight, since he was a young boy. Eventually, Martyn was knighted after showing incredible skill and passion and when a position in the Queensguard opened up, Martyn didn't think twice about taking it.

Martyn has been apart of the Queensguard for five years now. He's very protective not only of his family, but also the Targaryens. He's loyal to them and takes his duties very seriously. He's also known for being quite ruthless in a fight, even when he's sparing with other guards, Martyn doesn't hold back. He's not a very talkative or social person, he can often be found in the training grounds when he's not on duty. He also enjoys walks through the city, he always felt more comfortable when he was around the smallfolk, drinking with them in the taverns.
