O segundo vinho do sábado foi esse delicioso “Amarone Della Valpolicella Classico Costsera 2009”, um vinho maravilhoso! . É elaborado pela vinícola @MasiWines com as uvas tradicionais da região “Valpolicella Classico” (Corvina, Rondinella e Molinara) provenientes de seu melhor vinhedo, o Costasera. . As uvas são submetidas ao “Appassimento”, técnica de ressecamento natural em esteiras de bambu durante os meses de inverno, para concentrar seus aromas e açúcares. . Na taça mostrou coloração vermelho rubi com halo granada. No nariz, muita fruta vermelha em compota, especiarias e um leve tabaco. Em boca tinha muita fruta, um dulçor muito discreto e acidez elevada. Corpo médio+, álcool perceptível (15%) e taninos moderados, mas muito macios. Tinha média persistência. . Um vinhaço! Apesar dos 9 anos de idade, tem estrutura e juventude para garantir mais uns bons anos de guarda, e até melhorar. This is one of my favorite things to do. I love to eat and drink and try new things. There should be more wine pairing dinners at Giancarlo’s. I’d go to every one if I could.

Enjoyed caprese salad and rosé for dinner tonight. The 2015 Rosa dei Masi from @MasiAgricola paired wonderfully. Made from 100% Refosco, this wine is light and fresh with ripe cherry, raspberry and peach flavors. There’s a good kick of acidity that keeps everything bright from start to finish.
