Matty Healy Imagine: Failed Surprise (Part 3)

You had your bowl of cereal resting on top of your huge belly as you kept your eyes glued on a random show on the television. Matty sitting on the single sofa folding out some baby clothes and humming to himself as he do so. “Ouch” You slightly scream with the sudden pain in your stomach causing the bowl of cereal to drop but Matty was fast enough to catch it. “What’s wrong Y/n?” He asks holding your shoulder with one hand while he keeps the bowl on the coffee table with the other hand. “They are kicking too much today” You say with a frown. “I’ll sing to them” Matty says as he rubs the sides of your belly. As he opens his mouth to sing you speaks, “You are not singing about weed and blowjobs to them” Matty shuts his mouth and gives a smirk at you. “Oh love but that’s what you do” He says getting up. “MATTY!!” You scream throwing a cusion at him. Him laughing out loud now. Your pain grew and made you scream louder causing Matty to stop and freeze. “Y/n what’s happening? Let’s go to the hospital” Matty says lifting you up and helping you to the car. He runs inside to fetch a shirt and the baby bag.

“Just hold on love” He says holding onto your hand as he drives with the other. He managed to take you safely to the hospital and call the doctors. "Matty.." You say his name between sobs as you held on tight to his hand. "I'm here. I'll be here love. Everything will be okay" He says trying to calm you down. The doctors take you to a room and helps you get ready for the delivery of the baby. Since not much dilated you had to wait longer. "I'm bored" You say staring at the cieling. "I know love" Matty replies his head hung low playing with his phone. "These contractions hurt" You say starting to tear up as another one comes. Matty rubs your back as he hums at your ear. "Just a few more hours love" He says. He sounds bored and that was making you feel bad. "Matty are you bored or unhappy?" You ask. His eyes grew wide with the sudden question. "Y/n I'm not bored or unhappy. I'm just worried about you" Before he could finish the doctors come and tell you to start pushing. "Y/n you can do this, love" Matty says as you squeezes his hand tight. "Ouch ouch ouch" Matty says under his breath but he didn't let it bother him. "MATTY!! I... I CAN'T" "Just a little push now" Says the midwife. Matty decides to check what was going on but regretted seeing it. "OHMYGOD!! I gotta call George!!" With that he runs out to call George. You frown in annoyance but couldn't do much since you have to deliver a baby. The cries filled the room as Matty walks in with George. "Baby you did it" Matty says kissing your forehead. "One more to go Y/n. You can start pushing now" The midwife says making you groan. Matty stood there frozen as he realized that there was another baby too. George took your hand this time as he helps you. After a few minutes he second baby was born. You slowly drifted to sleep. You heard people talking but decided to keep your eyes shut as you still were tired. "George, I'm a terrible father already. I left inbetween my son's birth and I froze in the other one. Oh god" Matty says as he facepalms himself in frustration. "Mate, I know how you feel and I'm sure Y/n will understand eventhough she will be a bit down with what you did. Just talk to her about it" He says carrying one of the twins. "She's gonna make a wonderful mom" Matty says as he takes the baby from George's hands. "I'll come pick you guys up in the evening okay?" George says before leaving the room. You decided to open your eyes and just stare at the cieling. "Oh, you are up? Sleep well?" He asks as he puts the baby in the baby bed and walks towards you kissing you hand. "Hungry?" You shake your head which made Mattt really worried. "Baby, you should eat something. C'mon, should I get you umm.. some juice? Juice is good right? Juice? Okay?" Matty speaks trying to figure out what would be good for you to have right now. "Juice is okay" You quietly reply. Matty pours you a glass of juice and hands over to you. "Y/n, I'm sorry for earlier. I-" "It's okay Matty" You say interrupting his sentence. "But Y/n it isn't okay" He wasn't able finish as the doctor walked in. "How are you feeling now? You and the babies seem to be doing well so you can leave now and if you want any help just give me a call. Okay. Have a nice day" Matty thanks the doctor and texts George to pick you all up. "George is coming to pick you up. Why don't you go freshen up? I'll watch over the babies" He says handing you some fresh clothes. You nod as you leave to the bathroom. "Everything packed?" Ask George as he settles everything in the car. Matty helps you in and keeps the babies next to you. Him holding one himself. "Don't drive too fast. Y/n gets car sick" Matty says to which you just chuckle. You havn't been talking much and Matty knew why. // skip car ride // Matty opens the door for you as you carry in with one baby to a room filled with blue pastel balloons and the rest of the band members all crowding the living room. "Aww you guys!" You say as you let Adam hold the baby. Matty walks in with the other one and gave it to his mother as he goes back to the car to get everything out. "Aww they look so cute" Compliments and awws were here and there in the room. After some time they all left and Matty's mom stayed back. "Matty was nervous right?" She asks as Matty leaves the living room. You nod. You didn't have to say much as she understood. "Hey mom, can I talk to you in the kitchen?" Matty asks he walks in the living room. "I'm gonna get some sleep" You say standing up. Matty helps you into bed before leaving to talk with his mom. // To be continued... //
