Will this be a rant? Of sorts, maybe.
It seems now there is another discourse in VK fandom, this time about whether Ren and Ai will be a romantic couple or not. Firstly, Hino is drawing them in a suggestive way, that’s true.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Do I care if they end up together or not? Not really. She has drawn Kaname and Zero in a suggestive way many times, hell, even in recent covers Zero is literally all over Kaname. Not to mention Zero/Kaname has way more fanfictions and incredible fanarts than either of the canon straight couples. It’s true, just check it.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Think what you want, above illustration is pure Zero/Kaname and Yume.
And, in the below one, Zero’s hand...Sorry, two rivals and enemies just don’t do that.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Look at the above illustration, that’s not how two guys stand if they are enemies, they just don’t.
Secondly, both Ai and Ren have an intense need of another’s blood. Now, many people say their relationship is creepy…
Sorry, but many shoujo mangas and mainstream novels have the same crap. The girl is obsessed with the boy and also ends up with him. Yikes. Gross.
And, those stories are celebrated. So, why be against these two? Oh, wait, it’s because they are not hetero.
Hino is not doing anything great even if they do come out as a couple, Clamp has done it many times and Clamp works are way more popular than Hino’s can ever be.
X, a shoujo genre manga has Kamui and Fuuma.
They loved each other, don’t even try to argue with me about it.
Seishirou and Subaru, the most tragic couple of manga and anime are also in it. CCS has Yue with Clow Reed, Yukito/Yue and Touya, Sakura and Tomoyo, some of these feelings are one sided, but none of them are hated.
These couples are way more popular than whole VK manga. Rg Veda, another shoujo has Amaterasu and Souma, Taishakuten and Ashura-ou, Yasha and Ashura can also be interpreted as an M/M couple. Oh, wait. That’s canon. They are together in Tsubasa.
And, don’t get me started on Fai and Kurogane. There you go people, these are shonen and shoujo mangas which have same sex couples.
And, the readers know there was something going on between Fai and Kurogane even if it’s not stated explicitly.
Clamp literally said,”do not call Fuuma and Kamui brothers”. They are soulmates. They don’t even mention the obsessed fangirl, kotori.
Arina Tanemura, whose stories are a perfect example of a  fangirl ending with the guy they were after, also has a single M/M couple in one of her works. Mostly in her stories, the main girl likes one guy, but in the end, that guy never ends up with her. He ends up with one of the obsessed fangirls.
Am I still bitter about how dirty the mangaka did Itsuki Otomiya? Yes. The sweetheart doesn’t even know Haine was his daughter, and the whole bloody cast had coloured illustrations, a freaking artbook is there for the series, but not a single illustration for him. Yikes.
I hope she redeems herself and makes Tokita and Chikage a couple in 31 Ai dreams. The only series of hers which didn’t have this cliché was Sakurahime Kaden and Kamikaze Kaitou Jeanne.
And, let’s be honest, Eiichi would have have ended up with another fangirl if he wasn’t dead in Full moon. Thank god he was spared that bullshit. But, then again, he dies. That’s not good either.
Gentleman’s alliance cross, Nekota are just bad. Yes, the art is beautiful, but that doesn’t mean the males of her series deserved to end up with obsessive fangirls.
The one with underage relationship, Nekota or whatever [thank god that was never picked up by Viz.] In this, the blue haired dude, Serizawa, who the main girl liked from the beginning didn’t end up with her, he ended up with a fangirl. Ugh.
And, it is incestuous, the girl has feelings for her underage cousin.  Right.
Her art is beautiful, but damn it, her stories are so annoying.
For her only M/M couple in shinshi doumei cross, she had to make one half of the MM couple a cross dresser.
The guy, Maora was wearing woman’s clothing every time he and Maguri were shown together. He was never once shown as his real, tall self with Maguri.
And, she has said she isn’t comfortable with yaoi, but is okay with shonen ai.
Right.
But the point is, it’s been done many times.
In Hana Kimi, one of the protagonist’s elder brother is gay. He was the school’s physician if I am not wrong. So, Hino is not doing anything new.
Kyou Kara Maou is a shoujo manga, but it has Wulfrum and Yuri, two guys as a main couple. Granted, nothing happens, but they are engaged.
The manga was published in Asuka, a shoujo magazine.
Same goes for uraboku, Luka loves Yuki, regardless of the fact whether he is a female or a male. Senshirou and Kuroto were together, Hotsuma and Shusei were married in previous lives and they were very much together in the present as well.
Tumblr media
Do I think Ren and Ai will end up together, I dunno. Maybe they will, maybe they won’t. But I don’t think she will show them as a couple. If she will, fine. If she doesn’t, then also fine. They have an intense desire to be with each other, and their relationship is not parallel to Kaname and Yuuki’s or Haruka and Juri’s.
One can say they are like Rido, Yuuki’s uncle, not like the above two couples.
There are many differences between them and the two couples.
And, let’s not forget the harem Sara created, in fact she even kissed one of the girls.
Do I care about Ren and Ai ? No.
My sole reason for reading this manga is: Yume. Just bring Yuuki back and show Yume happily ever after. I really don’t care who ends up with whom.
But some reasons regarding Renai are hypocritical. This manga has incest, why are you being bothered by it now? Hell, she drew Ichiru and Zero in suggestive way too, and Zero’s care for Ichiru could also be questioned in that case.
Tumblr media
I am not sure if the above is Zero and Ichiru or Zero with another personality of his, I don’t want to see my artbook right now, but it can be seen as Zero and Ichiru.
Tumblr media
We don’t like yuri and yaoi.
Well, in that case I really hope it happens so it’ll tick off the people who make this statement. Yes, it’s a derogatory statement.
If the mangaka wants to do it, she can, it’s her choice. Hate her for it, plenty do. Zekis and yumes do for their reasons. I dislike the way she does things too, I hate many things she has done. But, hey she still did them.
Read Yona of the dawn in that case, that’s the only series which isn’t “problematic”
But,  Kija and Jaeha can be shipped in that too. I do ship them. And, the author has drawn shonen ai doujinshi’s.
And, Yona was in love with Su-won in the beginning, who is her cousin. Incest is incest, whether it’s between siblings or cousins, they are family.
I really don’t think Hino will show Ren and Ai as a couple. Siblings who are weirdly close, yes. Romantic couple, I don’t think so. If I am wrong, fine.
Just give me my Yume happy ending, and Takuma and Seiren scenes. I literally don’t care about the kids relationship. I just don’t. First, I had to suffer through that traitor’s crap with the stupid bint, Sayori, now this.
Edit :  Finally I read this chapter…
I don’t understand how anyone can even compare whatever crap that is going on between Ai and Ren to Yume and Haruka / Juri. The Kuran couples never looked so fucking weird with each other.
I was absolutely right in thinking their feelings for each other are reminiscent of what Rido felt. Just because Ai is Yume’s daughter doesn’t mean she’s a perfect character. Give me a break. Then again she had a crush on Zero as well.
And, she was raised among people like Ruka and Aidou, traitors and obsessed idiots. It’s no wonder she turned out idiotic.
She looks weird when she says, “she had her sister with her” to Youko.
I am not going to post the image cause its just bad.
Yume and Haruka/Juri were never so fucking creepy. Never.
Ren is just so bland and sad in everything that I don’t know what to think. Youko was the only one who wasn’t weird in this Ch.
The author should just wrap this up, it’s neither interesting nor is evoking any feelings in readers. It’s as bad Sayori/Aidou crap. Just stop with the useless story arcs, show Kaname and Yuuki together and end this shit.
I really don’t think the two girls will end up together. Their scenes aren’t sweet, and if she wants to show them, just do it and move on. They are both boring and least interesting. They are so bad it will not matter whether are together or apart.
They are as bad as other creepily obsessed M/F couples in novels and shoujo manga where the obsessed fangirl ends with the boy. This trope itself is gross. Who even cares about them?
They are only being hyped because they are two girls. When people thought Ren was a boy there wasn’t much reaction. I know there wasn’t. But now that they are two girls…
Hate them because they are stupid, no point in saying we don’t like them because its FF relationship. That’s just bigotry. Or maybe the author should be honest and say I wanted Zero and Kaname to fuck but Yuuki kept on getting in the way. So, I decided to pair their daughters together. because according to the author incest is fine in VK.  Just drop this crap already Hino.
I mean what the hell is up with this boring arc ?
I don’t even understand why stupid shit like this is overlooked in MF couples but if same happens in same sex, everyone is like, looks its unhealthy.  Incest, age difference, obsessed idiots/ fangirls, they are all bad.
I love Clamp, but that Rika and Terada thing was just plain gross. Same goes for Rin and Sesshoumaru.
I kept on telling myself about the latter one, no they are a parent child relationship. But at one point, I had to accept it was anything but family love. I love Sesshoumaru and always will. But I can’t get behind Rin/Sessh or whatever nonsense it was. Sessrin is celebrated, it’s a fact. It’s creepy, don’t deny it.
I know some of their artists and Sesskag [yuck] kept on leaving rude comments on SessKik fanworks, my favourite ship.
And Terada/Rika thing is overlooked because, let’s be honest CCS is fucking awesome. I overlook it and concentrate on yue yukito/ touya, syaoran/sakura.
I just want this RenAi thing to go away. I can’t stand either of them. Just show Kaname and Yuuki together and end this series. Hino should wrap it up and start a new one. VK will not gain the popularity it had at one point no matter what. The author is just coming off as desperate.

DiAnna44: Translating Beauty into Words
AO3 profile
Tumblr
I have never come across any Viktuuri fanfiction that is as beautifully and as carefully written as DiAnna44’s works. Beautiful, because of the way her words could seep into your soul and shake your entire being from the inside. Careful, because of the way she chooses her words, and the way she chooses which words to emphasize, and the way she emphasizes a certain word, giving that one word a thousand more meanings.
And her stories really are beautiful beautiful beautiful. And I am not exaggerating. Because for the first time ever, I found myself saying “I read a fanfic so beautiful that I started crying.” And I really did cry. I cried, not exactly because the stories were sad in itself, but because of what her stories made me feel, made me realized in my life.
If her fanfictions were published books, I would buy all of them and place them in my bookshelf next to The Little Prince by Antoine de Saint-Exupery, What Things Mean by Sophia Lee, and The Alchemist by Paulo Coelho. (Actually, I don’t have my own bookshelf but you get what I mean.)
So while I was browsing through DiAnna44’s works in AO3, it came quite a shock to me that the most number of kudos that she has ever gotten on a work is around 700+, which is on The World Opened with You. And that story was for the Katsudon Big Bang; her other works are only around 100+, not even reaching the 200 mark. And this was quite disappointing for me because she deserves so much more.
Maybe this is because she’s the kind of writer who doesn’t write just to please others, to get kudos. She looks at writing as a writing experience. “It forces me to meet deadlines, to write in a way people can at least understand, and to expand my writing ability because I will only learn my own style if I continue to write,” she said. “but I think my fics are probably only liked by a select few who can stand my style of writing. I'm too wordy and poetic, and that can be annoying to some, but that's okay.”
Ah, I guess I’m just a part of that “select few,” but I still think DiAnna44 deserves more love. Her masterpieces are worthy enough to be put on the limelight, and I hope others can see that too.
Learn more about how DiAnna44 translates beauty into words under the cut.
(From here on, I’ll just refer to her as DiAnna because names in real life don’t have number symbols XD.)
DiAnna ( @literallynothingbutvictuuri ) is currently eighteen years old, born on September 19, and she lives in Texas, USA.
For DiAnna, writing can be exhausting, but she also considers it as a good way to get her feelings out. She is someone who has severe depression, anxiety, and tends to be suicidal. This is why a lot of her fics tend to focus on those kind of issues and relevant feelings. “Writing really helps me get it out,” she said. “and when it's not for fics, I just write sad prose and poetry, so at least when I'm writing in fics, I can be productive and make something maybe creative.”
DiAnna is a person who is easily brought down by negativity, but despite this her advice to aspiring writers is to not take negative comments too literally, for in the end, the amount of positive comments outweigh the negative ones.
Before, DiAnna was awful in planning out stories. During the early years of her writing, she would immediately start writing on an idea she has, leading her to have continuity problems and far in between update schedules. “Now, I honestly outline my entire story,” said DiAnna. “I tend to write fics in scenes and so I plan it out by scenes in Word. It's pretty detailed, and can be a long process sometimes, but it's definitely worth it.” Now, she also advices that beginning writers should really outline their stories.
DiAnna’s style of writing reminds me of the style of Susan Steinberg, author of Spectacle and recipient of the United States Artist Ziporyn Fellowship and the Pushcart Prize. Like Steinberg, DiAnna has talent in using the repetition of words or sentences with similar meanings to emphasize thoughts and feelings, without making it seem redundant.
And also like Steinberg, DiAnna doesn’t openly describes what the situation of the story is and instead allows the readers to make his/her own realizations as the story progresses. She doesn’t go right at the start saying, “Once upon a time, there was Viktor and he was very sad because he had no life and love blah, blah, blah…”
Here’s an excerpt from The World Opened with You:
By that standard, Victor’s voice was screaming, or perhaps it was just another imitation of the sad illusion of his mind. He couldn’t distinguish between illusions and reality anymore, and it was becoming quite worrisome.
Pletnev has stopped the orchestra, it seems, and Victor’s heart is clenching up in that way that’s been happening too frequently, and he doesn’t know what to think.
Immediately, we are brought to the conflict of the story that is Viktor is having a hard time playing in the orchestra. She shows us Viktor’s suffering with “Victor’s voice was screaming.” And at the end of the second paragraph, she says “Victor’s heart is clenching up in that way that’s been happening too frequently, and he doesn’t know what to think.” These two lines show us how Viktor has been suffering for, not just now, but some time now, more clearly than if it had been said like “Viktor has been sad for years.”
DiAnna, as aforementioned, does not write to please others. She prefers coming up with original ideas. Sometimes, she gets inspiration from prompts, AUs, and fanarts. One unique work of hers is the Chair Au series, where Yuuri is… a chair?
Yes, Yuuri is a chair and Viktor buys him at IKEA. Very unique. The story is simple but the eccentricity of it is enough to draw readers in.
Before that series, DiAnna had signed up for around four YOI Big Bangs because she frantically needed an AU idea. Out of desperation, she also went to two of her best friends and asked them for ideas. After one of them gave a real response, the other jokingly suggested "an au where Yuuri is a chair and Victor goes to Ikea and buys him.” DiAnna took it seriously and wrote that AU in about five minutes and published it. Unexpectedly, it got a lot of feedback. She didn’t know how to react.
And I guess there’s a lesson behind this: Just write what you want, without thinking about what others will say all the time, and one day others will find your work and appreciate whatever weird idea you think you did. There’s merit in just being yourself.
But my personal favorite among all her works would be Even Time, a time travel AU where Time goes back to mend Yuuri’s and Viktor’s relationship. What I really find interesting about this is that it is not written in the typical future-past-fixed future order. Here, Time keeps moving back and forth throughout the story–past, future, past, future, past, then future again– and instead of confusing the readers, it intensifies the emotional impact of it on readers more so than if it had been written as just future-past-fixed future.
It gives the readers the impending feeling that something is very wrong and that something terrible is going to happen, and this provides suspense as we move back and forth in the timeline. It keeps our eyes open and more focused on the story as we try to figure out when exactly in the timeline did things go wrong. And when I found it, oh my, oh when I found it the world shattered.
Again, DiAnna’s works are very much worth the read. She may not be the popular mainstream, but that’s only because she’s going to be one of the classics.

Swapfell Stuff - Topic “Swapfell/Fellswap” Movement - My opinion - My stuff
This is going to be a long ass post. Like really.
If you don’t bother about this movement, it’s ok. Scroll down, ignore this.
For everyone else who wants to know my opinion and statement.
I hope I don’t offend anyone. And this doesn’t got against the ones who set up the Swapfell/Fellswap Movement and their attempt on bringing back the original design.
I maybe sound somewhat pissy, my grammar is shit but I honestly don’t care.
I want to get this off my soul, so I can continue working on my beloved shit: Swapfell.
Here we go.
So.... this there is this movement around "Swapfell" and "Fellswap" going on and since I already had disputes and discussions with some of my followers, I decided to put my statement here for once and for all.
I kind of feel that I must state something about this matter, since my blog is all about Swapfell right now and this probably won't change in a long while.
As you should've noticed by now, my Swapfell design was somewhat different from the start and is now entirely different from the "popular" version that - thanks to this movement- is called Fellswap now. Since I chose Eli's design, it probably reminds of Fellswap, but it is not. That's why I am actually super annoyed by this distinction. At first I thought it's a good idea, but now I think it's kind of unnecessary to part this into two halves. It's probably causing confusion, worry and a war between fanatics and ppl with their own idea. Also... a personal reason: My fucking design is both in some way and it is still SWAPFELL.
When I joined this beautiful fandom I didn't like Swapfell at all. (Like Underswap and also Underfell, yes. I was very sceptic and annoyed by AUs first) Swapfell was just about kinky shit, "master and slave" with no character but smut issues. Underfell was the same shit, but with much more abuse, rape and some Red-fucktoy. This impression still haunts me and disturbs my image of him. Underswap issues... I've explained them to you. It was mostly that childish Blue that didn't resemble UT!Papyrus at all.
However, I've seen quite some great fanarts that got me hooked. Especially after meeting Eli's design, comics and pictures I got really, really interested in them. (It's probably thanks to them that I am Swapfell Trash rn) I wanted to know more about them, understand why they were the way they were. I really had no desire to follow the mainstream route. Why? Because I rarely do. I've avoided Undertale for a good reason when it was hyped like devil's shit.
So... on my long way of reasoning that weird behaviour (like wtf... I didn't understand why a Papyrus was this subby, weak and all "I'm so sorry!" for no reason) I had started to develop my own theories until I stumbled over "Flipping the Script" by @Angelia-Dark. The Swapfell Script is a masterpiece, trust me on this. She's a very talented writer that thinks complex, deep and has a choice of words that can make your heart break by her will. I've come to love the Swapfell Bro's finally understanding how they are supposed to work. At least for me. And I love complex, deep and especially dark shit. Even if it wouldn't have been fontcest, I would've read it. It explains a lot of shit.
So falling in love with Swapfell, I've created my own story and explanation for it. No matter how much I love Angelia's interpretation, it didn't satisfy my thirst and need for this one special AU. I wanted another Swapfell Pap, I wanted another Swapfell Sans. Basing on the origin on Swap but starting in Fell, so I can show the world how Swap turns Fell. It is, no matter how it looks like: SWAPfell.
I'll explain you why. So no one will have the fucking idea to call this Fellswap for design reasons.
Tumblr media
Let's start with Pup. He's obviously not that guy you've seen most of the time in the fandom. My interpretation of him is a lot different and it has another reasoning which I show in SWAPFELL DAWN. It's most likely a spin-off AU... it's MY story, MY idea for them and MY interpretation of the original idea of the "name Swapfell". I didn't know the original creator (I didn't see the designs and concepts at all) at that point and I wonder, why that design was abandoned. (I'll talk  about this matter later). So yeah... I liked the design I saw by Eli and some other artists, but I wanted to do my own thing... since Pup is so different, he had to look different and it should support his general idea.
Which is a complete, dark asshole version of Honey (SwapPap). In my AU I'm showing their origin, how they live and change. So yeah, this should explain alot. And yes, I am not very fond of that "Fellswap" Papyrus, since he's too subby and boring for me. There's a lot of cute fanart, that I like very much. I'm Swapfell trash, so I cannot resist it. Still... I prefer my Pup over them.
Now Black:
Tumblr media
This Swapfell Sans is MOST LIKELY Blue as a darker version and some different character. He has been Blue at some point in my AU. They are alike, their eyes are alike and they even behave alike.
They've been the fucking same person. It's just that Black's the fallen, dark version who survived tons of shit to stand where he is right now. I don't have to say all that much about it. I've just uploaded my colorscheme and design for my Swapfell-Bros... take a look at it, I've explained some other things about it.
As you can see... they were Swaps before, but they have this "Fell touch" on them. Especially with their lookings. It's somehow mixed. Swapfell and Fellswap were for me one thing and probably will remain one thing for me. Everyone can see it as they want. The swapfell concept is for me simply this: two Au's got mixed. It doesn't matter all that much how  and when. At first I thought it might be a good idea to distinct it, but now I think it's a hassle and probably will cause war and worry. My version looks like both and it is both.
Black is alike to Fell, but he was Blue. Pup was Honey, but now he has some Red AND Edge vibes. I don't fucking care, if someone wants to argue with me. When I joined this fandom, I basically didn't see all that much about Swapfell (more or less "Fellswap" like this movement wanna tell me) so I kind of focused on them after reading Angelia's fic. I've worked hard on them and wanted to create another impression on them and so far I've been successful.
But then... suddenly... Swapfell shot out of the ground like mushrooms and I was positively surprised how much it's loved.
And
I'm kind of annoyed that NOW everyone focuses on it, like it's been all popular and shit. 'cause I felt like it wasn't and I got told ALOT that it wasn't all that popular. Some of my followers even told me that they see me "as the creator" of it, because I give them life and a story. I'm not the creator, but I still felt honored that they started to like Swapfell.
So... back to the point: suddenly everyone focuses on it and dig up the very first concept of it. You've probably seen it flying around... it's been there from the start and it was FORGOTTEN. Which is honestly shit, since someone worked with it quite some time. And It's always a sign of respect to state that it was there.
However. This doesn't mean that I MUST like it. I don't have to do shit. I've seen it, but I didn't feel attached to it nor did I feel like I had to mess with it. It's the creators thing, I won't touch it. Especially because the blog got deleted and who the hell knows if the creator even wants this. (Not to mention that I probably would delete all of my stuff, if it was a concept, so no one toys around with my ideas and rather does something new from this point on)
I'm seeing this from different perspectives. Like... I have also no idea how the original Underswap is supposed to look like. How they actually should behave... the same for Underfell. The fontcest part of the fandom changed tons of things. TONS. And it got also out of hand. How different both AU's would be without the R18 part. The same for Swapfell.
Also, I really have no idea, if the original creator even bothers with it. If they want to be mentioned or if they deleted their blog so no one would use their work and do shit with it. People wouldn't care in any way, I know that. I've seen it alot with Flowerfell. And this probably happens to the most AU's. I think it's good to show the concept, but I wouldn't force anyone to adapt it. I don't like it and I honestly don't want to mess with it. I've got my own idea that I'm working on. In addition to the concept and idea part.... I know this creator left the fandom for a long while now... the fandom matures and gets more and more AU's... why would you try to name something different now just because there seem to be two ideas? Looking at the name's alone there a tons of possibilities to interprete it.
So please don't restrict the freedom and fantasy of one's mind. Some people approached me all scared that their stuff will be now labeled in the wrong way or get hated for not following the mainstream mass. This is not even a joke, I really had discussions like that.
Feel free to do whatever you want, but respect other's opinions please. It's no fucking reason to start a war for this.
So... there is this other version of Swapfell Papyrus that I met a while ago already:
Tumblr media
The first time I saw it, I didn't come to like it. I don't even start with Swapfell Sans. I mean.. hey... if you like it, draw it. I don't. I don't want to. And I don't feel like I have to follow anyone but myself. I looked at the concept and drawings alot, but feeling nothing, I ignored them. As I said, I don't even know if Kkoppang wants us to mess with that thing. Like Au it got out of hand, even forgotten to some degree and there as tons more reasons why I could argue now. Why am I saying this? Because I feel like this movement could be understood wrong. Or maybe I understood it wrong and get all offended suddenly. You see, I think it's a fantastic idea to tell the people "Hey, this is the original Swapfell. Try to look at it and play with the idea!". It would be nice to see some fanart to this, it would also be a sign of respect and maybe this (STRANGELY) forgotten design comes to life again. But I truly hope there won't follow this "Only this is Swapfell and the rest is not", because this is bullshit. If my and some other ideas aren't considered Swapfell anymore then no one can claim their shit as "Underswap" or "Underfell" too, since it got abstracted from the original idea alot.
Like...
TONS.
Even not looking at fontcest here that fucked up alot. And we're all sinners. I'm one of the big ones.
So, I don't know if I'm being disrespectful or not, I'm not doing that great seperation between Swapfell and Fellswap due to the reason, that it can be mixed and that everyone has their own means, ideas and beliefs like I do. I'd like to see more of the original art, but welp. I'm not doing it. I'll stick to the AU I'm working on and if this is not Swapfell, it's "Fallen Swapfell" (aka Swapfell Dawn). I am toying with dark content and shit. I'm making Swap fall. End of story.
Tumblr media
So being an individual with my own opinion and being mostly anti-mainstream, I've decided to follow Zed into the wide, scary sea and look out for people who also share the opinion that it should be valued, if you have your own ideas and don't take part of the general hype. I'm not against it, I'm just not supporting it. And I wanted to point out a lot longer that my Swapfells are different from the rest. So I used this opportunity to make this clear.
I know this movement doesn't force anyone to do anything. I believe it's mostly to revive and honor the original design and creator... still.. it bugs me. You can’t just go there and say “THIS IS SWAPFELL AND THE REST IS NOT”, because this fucks up every other AU too, if you take it strictly. Especially with the gone creator.
But Ursik stated a important thing, so I want to name it once more for everyone: "[...] the most important thing for all fandoms: Diversity. Different people are freely to have different views/opinions aka different creations, and everyone’s work should never be limited by which is more “”popular””. "
That's why I stick to my shit.
And.
THIS is also Swapfell.
Tumblr media
I'm quoting Zed here: "And I’m not gonna tell people who are into the fellswap swapfell distinction that they’re wrong either. I’m so happy they have another thing to get into. I’m happy the first design is getting more attention. There’s a lot about it that i do like. And that’s that."
I'm sharing the same opinion. I really, really like Zed's SwapfellPap concept, he's totally cool and he's unique. I've always been weak for unique stuff since it's something you'll remember even ages ago.
And I believe my version is also a special case. So yeah. Deal with it.
Also.... taking a look at my Swapfell version and Angelia's one... this is the perfect example of wonderful diversity in the fandom. One name: tons of stories. How different Swapfell is with Pup being the older brother and not Sans. Pup being most likely the dominant part in the relationship instead of the big brother Sans, who takes good care of Pup. We share a lot of ideas, we think alike and our Swapfell Bro's are damn alike. And yet they are so different that you would feel the difference if they stood next to each other. (Not only considering looks.)
So... never limit one's freedom on an idea and opinion. Every idea has been used somewhere before.
But...
I respect the person who started it. And if that person was still active in the fandom, I would respect their wishes and not work with their idea without their approval. That's why I won't allow anyone to write their part to the Swapfell Dawn universe except for "fan-fanart" and shit. 'cause that's nice as hell.
Oh well.... stated everything, I'm out.
