Jack tried putting face paint on ralph multiple times but ralph kept running away everytime he did

Ralph went like "if you kept doing that im going to break your spear" ( he was buffling )

When it would be Halloween time they would dress up in a group costumes to find each other easily ( Sam & Eric would get lost pretty quick )

Speaking of halloween, its rogers fav holiday

Simon owed cats back home ( 2 to be specific )

Jack's full name name is "Jackson" merridew but prefers his last name more because his first name reminds him too much of his dad ( he's a junior )

After the island Ralph's hair wasent as fluffy anymore ( it became sorta dead in a way )

Jack's favorite color is green

After piggys aunt learned about piggy's death she made a candy about him & named it after him

They tried getting fish one time on the island but they were scared of how much they flopped on land that they resorted to pig

After a lot of the boys were rescued they slept with nightlights

Before crash landing on the island Jack's mom was pregnant ( jack didnt know at the time ) and while of his time on the island she ended up being born ( totally didn't headcanon this onto jack because I have a baby sister myself )

The liluns would gift each other things they found around the island ( like lil rocks or seaweed ) for comfort

( older ) Ralph would visit piggy's tombstone

The bigguns & lilnuns would write letters to their parents despite half of them getting lost

Jack knows how to play the piano

After jack got recued he was kinda paying less attention in choir and got put in dance classes for a while as punishment

Ralph had band classes back home and knew how 2 play the trumpet & flute ( totally didn't headcanon this bc I have a band class & play the flute and get heartburn and stomach aches all the time while playing it )

( IF SIMON WAS STILL ALIVE. ) he would have asked his mom for a lizard a bunch of times after being rescued until his grandma bought him 1 for his birthday !! :D

During the feast, Jack asked Ralph if he wanted to dance with him, and ralph just fucking straight out said "no"

After a few a minutes had past ( like 20 or so ) Ralph asked roger if he had seen simon cuz he wanted to dance with him

Ralph named 2 of his horses after simon & piggy

Ralph, piggy & Simon made flower crowns 4 each other ( Simon made the most for the 2 of them )

Jack tried teaching a lilnun C# but eventually gave up after a few mins 🥲

Jack would ( on purpose ) practice his C# late at night and drive Ralph CRAZY

Jack would try to teach some of the choir his fav songs

Jack HATED the rain while his time on the island but got used to it after he got saved

One of the boys on the island said sum shit like: "I can't believe I'm gonna die here without my first kiss!" As a joke ( WHICH MOST OF THE KIDS UNDERSTOOD ) except 1 kid who thought he was being serious and ACTUALLY KISSED HIM... ( in front of jack too )

Out of all the boys on the island simon had the most scars ( even after getting murdered ) with jack being the second & Ralph being the 3rd

piggy & simon tried giving sum of simons flower crowns to the tribe but they destroyed them due to "jacks orders"

Lau shoved Eric and he sagged against the railing. “All those Xzeejees out there are wondering when they’re going to get to go home,” said Lau. “I sure as hell can’t persuade them to help us.”

“Why are you so goddamn convinced that I can?” said Eric.

“You got Xzeejees to help you once,” said Lau. “You seem pretty chummy with your girlfriend in there.”

Eric slugged Lau in the face. He was growing accustomed to how frequent these little fights were becoming – down here, they were just another form of punctuation. He stepped away from Lau, knowing that if he punched him again, he wouldn't be able to stop. “My girlfriend is dead.”

The words came out of him before he knew he was saying them. He wanted to think that Maggie had made it out of the Valley, that maybe she was back on Tearis, trying to find him… But he’d been in that tunnel. He had Lilun’s last memories before Benson had gotten a hold of her. Whatever Valley Lilun had made it out of, Maggie had picked a different one. The chances were good that her body was still down there, mummifying the way they all did down in the West, if some horrible, dark creature hadn’t dragged it off.

So I’ve needed some serious Art Therapy.

And I’m angry because I’ve got like... almost 20 commissions waiting to be finished and I’ve made some amazing progress on one of them (and I’m refusing to acknowledge the rest because I’m ANGRY and HORMONES and PAIN and also I didn’t explain my pricing very well with one huuuuuuge batch of commissions but they’re for a friend on a project I’ve acted in so PERSONAL DEDICATION but also MONEY FOR BILLS) annnd I have to work on all of them while still working 30 - 40 hours on my “daytime jobs.” Yay self-employment.

Blah blah blah ANGST blah

Anyway

My brain keeps reminding me that adorable things exist and I can totally draw them, which is a shame because aside from a gratuitous amount of bewbs none of my commissions are adorable and fun so I kind of have to scrape by on what very little free-time I have in a day.

So I’ve been turning to the TM trying to find what little bit of Adorable Things™️ we can actually build upon and discovered while daydreaming between modeling sessions that Eric and Lilun were friggin cute as kids. Like, almost Gerber Baby cute.

Like... look at these two. They’re so stinkin cute together I almost can’t even.

Ignore the fact that at this point in Eric’s life his mom was starting to go native, and had given him some bells around a wrist so she could ignore him until she heard the bells (or didn’t hear them well enough.) I won’t say that the year he and his mom spent on Au’wm led to her divorce with his dad, but it was definitely a huge factor. (Not adorable, just a fact.)

BUT JUST LOOK at how Lilun is glancing at Eric! She’s so excited to be with him! She’s probably planning some expedition to dig up some clay and make little sculptures or something. Or maybe they’re begging to go catch some wild animals. Whatever the case, it’s cute, and it’s just what my brain needed.

So I’m going to try real hard to update again next week - it’s all depending upon whether my life actually gives me more than 5 hours a day to sleep, eat, and take care of myself or if I have to keep grinding until the end of May. (*the last week of May I’m escaping the state to produce a movie. This is one of the things eating up my time right now tbh. I’ve got to spend the next few weeks building a financial buffer so I can actually afford to spend a week in upstate NY just kind of... waiting? Until someone needs something? Producing is weird.)

The really good news is that while I hurry up to wait at the end of May pretty much the only thing I’ll be able to work on is the TM (also some other producing/acting projects waiting in the wings but shhhhhhhh don’t mention those) so even if I can’t make a huge dent in work now I can at least get to it in a few weeks.
