murderbot show liveblog s1e1

Not a huge fan of making fun of preservation and hippies so much. Even if it's sorta justified because murderbot is a judgemental asshole sometimes.

Why change ratthi from a biologist??? Why add extra relationship drama??? I assume both will come up later in the plot because why else.

Has murderbot been free as long in the show as in the books

This show does lose some of the impact from not having the internal narration. I mean they try to get in bits and pieces of it and acting choices convey some but like 70% of the fun in the books (for me at least) is murderbot's personality.

I do like that murderbot talks fast and almost on top of her because it processes faster than humans

Well. Kinda underwhelming first episode but decent enough. Like 7/10 on first glance, maybe 8 if I can catch the visual things (like performance reliability numbers) on screen on second watch and they add enough.

In one of the crew episodes, the GM chooses Nodoze to be the voiced character. In the next chronological crew episode that accidentally reverses the continuity, the GM chooses Nodoze to be the first mentioned crew character not already present. Any and all representative crew members can and must be Nodoze because it’s only right! Not just because I want them to be.
