George is a very special person because among his other amazing and impressive talents, he also has complete immunity from Paul's egregious sex appeal. George feels ZERO lust, he's so powerful, Paul cannot control him.

I feel like George would rather smash his head in with a brick than ravish much less engage in a romantic relationship with Paul.

On Paul's end I feel like he respects George too little to even consider him as a sexual partner, which is saying something considering Paul would consider a hole in a tree a viable sexual partner.

I don't think they hate each other though, at least in the early days. They just have such an extreme sibling-coded relationship. Like as early as 1964 George took the piss out of him, i.e. the car wash thing that still makes me giggle wiggle.

I guess if you think both George and Paul are hot and want to see them smush, all power to you. I just can't imagine it. Maybe I am also tainted, as even after 7 years of violent disrespect I have never ever once sexualised George. I just like him too much.

I had such a ridiculous argument with this total idiot who kept insisting that George hated Paul from India till the very end (and only did anything with him afterwards for the money) that the only way to soothe my nerves was to make these so I could watch and rewatch grumpy old man George squeezing him tight and reaching out to grab his jacket and touching his hair and grinning at him like that all the time throughout Anthology, no matter how awkward the whole situation was.

No one annoys him like Paul and no one knows him like Paul and there’s no one he loves like Paul and it’s all so painfully and wonderfully real that when I think about it for too long I have to go lie down in a dark room for a while.
