I like that they imply Launchpad continues going on McDuck adventures after getting with Drake. This means that they’re going to be long-distance at least some of the time, whether that distance is a city away or halfway across the globe. Sometimes Launchpad’s going to be hiking through some forest in Europe trying to keep the McDuck kids safe, and Drake will be at home trying to keep Gosalyn and St Canard safe. Sometimes Drake will call Launchpad, desperate just to hear his voice, but it’s five pm in Calisota and two am in Tokyolk, and the call never gets answered. Sometimes, they’ll wake up in different beds, half a world apart, and ache for the one that’s supposed to be beside them.
It also means Leavin on a Jet Plane works as a drakepad song, which I just love.
