Осколки неба на земле-голубой или гималайский мак. Это завораживающие растение всего лишь относится к семейству маковых, но является меконопсисом буквицелистным (Meconopsis betonicifolia). Родом он из высокогорных районов Китая, Непала, Индии.
Это многолетник с цветоносами до 80 см в высоту, украшенных 8-10 бутонами, постепенно раскрывающимися в середине июня. Каждый цветок держится 5-7 дней, таким образом, цветение длится около 3 недель. Диаметр цветков – 8-10 см.
Shards of the sky on earth - blue or Himalayan poppy. This mesmerizing plant only belongs to the poppy family, but is a meconopsis letter-leaved (Meconopsis betonicifolia). He comes from the highlands of China, Nepal, India. This is a perennial with peduncles up to 80 cm in height, decorated with 8-10 buds, gradually opening in mid-June. Each flower lasts 5-7 days, so flowering lasts about 3 weeks. The diameter of the flowers is 8-10 cm

In the wall of this lane in Stromness, Orkney, the Meconopsis cambrica (welsh poppy) is flowering. This species has yellow or orange flowers and will happily grow in the sun or shade. It will self-seed in the spaces in paths, walls and between plants in a woodland border.

This is the wonderful evergreen foliage of Meconopsis napaulensis hybrid, a monocarpic perennial that after two or three years will produce poppy-like flowers in shades of red or yellow. Plants grow best in cooler and wetter areas with a woodland environment.
