How I feel about this character: I’ve started to like him during s2, bc honestly he was cute but almost irrelevant durins s1 and at my first viewing of the series I didn’t care. But then I grew fond of him, especially bc I love character with an inferiority complex ehe. So yeah, I like Sakuma but I don’t like how many portray him, too dependent on Kidou and jealous about him to an extreme, it’s annoying and ruins the character smh.

All the people I ship romantically with this character: Genda, Shin!Teikoku Genda, NeoJapan!Genda, Ares!Genda... (and ok maybe a bit Seok bc that rarepair monday opened my third eye and I’m weak to crackhipping)

My non romantic OTP for this character: I love his friendship with Kidou and how he grew from envying him to be on equal footing with him and seeing him as a friend and not someone he had to surpass in order to be good enough.

My unpopular opinion about this character: stop👏🏻making👏🏻him👏🏻yandere👏🏻for👏🏻Kidou👏🏻against👏🏻Fudou👏🏻 you wanna ship kisaku? Ok go ahead live your life but UGH please stop this trend Sakuma ain’t mentally deranged and he’s not so glued to Kidou to behin with! Even worse, stop making Sakuma act bad around Fudou to make your kdfd more spicy. Love triangles are dumb.

One thing I wish would happen/had happened with this character in canon: aaahh I wish that “captain band” scene would have been in OG too, or smth similar to it at least, bc it was so touching and beautiful and Gensaku deserved more interaction like that in the OG as well :((

A headcanon fact: he smoked for a while during hig school due to stress. In order to stop he would give Genda the lighters and told him to prevent him from smoking too many. He eventually stopped after two years~
