it is so delicious to me that eddie said if you want to be pissed off, be pissed off! but the subtext is there. you can be pissed off at me as long as you let me in. but now buck is closing himself off and not sharing every thought and emotion with eddie, and it is causing eddie to lose his mind. he is begging buck to treat him the way they have always treated each other, but eddie leaving broke them in a way that eddie refused to look at.

because eddie yelled if it is between you and my son, you will lose every time. buck has always known this. but now, buck thinks it is time to pull himself out of the equation. eddie shouldn't have to choose at all. it should just be chris. eddie and chris are each other's family, and buck is buck. so buck pulls away. but this is not what eddie meant when he said that. this is not what he wanted to happen. he is back in LA now, but he can't get through to buck, and everything feels wrong. once again, eddie is stuck in a marriage that is failing... except they aren't even married. they aren't anything more than best friends. but it feels just as awful as it did with shannon. why does buck pulling away emotionally feel like when his ex wife left? why does it feel like his family is being torn apart?

If I'm being honest I really hope Jin's new mv doesn't do much of anything HYYH related to the pink notebook girl because that was for real the most toxic relationship in the entire HYYH plotline and basically implied by the narrative to be a mistaken distraction that Jin dives into simply to avoid the chaos and depression of the timeloop with his friends. Also, like, the thing I care LEAST about omg screw pink notebook girl I NEED TO KNOW IF JUNGKOOK KILLS THEM ALL. WE LEFT OFF ON JUNGKOOK CRAZY.

So basically if we brought any of the girls back pink notebook girl is the one we need least (and this 0% shade to her, it's lowkey a psychological horror entirely on Jin's side), but I can't wait for all the boys to be back so we can finally find out wtf is going on in phase three!!!!
