I feel like if Loop was ever voiced, they’d get the Mewtwo treatment and have both masculine and feminine voice actors, with their vocals mixed (in the sound tech way) to sound androgynous. But they would also sound kinda saucy. Not necessarily fruity, but like… Saucy, which is basically fruity but lighthearted, with the refinement of Elizabethan England.

I think next I'm gonna draw Muzan in the Black Parade uniform, I will put more effort into that than the comics I think 😅 also more comics soon 😸

Pokemon Card of the Day #3218: Mewtwo (Detective Pikachu)

Mewtwo was the kind of Pokemon that would have been terrifying if it released in 2011. It was very similar to Reshiram from Black & White with a switched type, though the first attack was different. The power level had gone up by a lot in 8 years, and while 130 was still a solid number, doing that with discarding made it a lot less exciting. The first attack could actually stall against some things, and having that available had a bit of use. Not great for everything, of course, but real situations for blocking a Pokemon's attack for a turn existed here.

130 HP was still rather solid on a Basic Pokemon. It was out of Zoroark-GX range, at least, so it was at least going to have a chance against some notable SUM-On decks. The Tag Teams tended to find ways around it if they could switch around Psyjack, however. The Psychic Weakness could open up opportunities for more Malamar partners at times. That deck tended to get to 130 anyway, but having extra options for that could be notable. The Retreat Cost here was 2, so switching cards were useful if you wanted to switch after a Break Burn.

Psyjack wasn't too strong, as 30 damage was much lower than you'd want for a Psychic and a Colorless Energy. The real reason to use it was to choose 1 of the opponent's Active Pokemon's attacks. Said attack couldn't be used during the opponent's next turn. This was best in SUM-On where switching cards, while still somewhat popular, weren't quite as prevalent as in later formats where running 3-4 Switch was common. You could shut down many Lightning-types, Zoroark-GX, the main attack from Blacephalon to name a few. Any card with multiple solid attacks, of course, just got by this, and a switch negated it so the lock wasn't very strong here. This could still buy turns in some spots, so it wasn't the worst option by any means.

Break Burn did a good amount of damage. 130 from a single Prize Pokemon for 2 Psychic and a Colorless Energy was still good progress. Sadly, you did have to discard 2 Energy from Mewtwo, so it was notably behind just due to that. If this didn't need any discarding, or even 1, it would have been a pretty competitive attack.

Mewtwo was really close to being useful. Break Burn was strong but needed just a bit too much discarding for a type in Psychic that had tons of good attackers. Psyjack sometimes bought multiple turns against an opponent that couldn't switch around it, but too many decks could do that to let this be more reliable. If you wanted to use it, you'd likely take a single copy into a Malamar deck to have both sorts of attacks at once. It wasn't all that bad but you'd probably just run one of the other single Prize Pokemon like Giratina instead.

imagine if a legendary Pokémon is the only one who knows where your missing dad is, but they don't tell you because Nintendo was hoping to maybe make a sequel, to which they did 7 years later. gee, that'd suck.
