Chloe Kinsella at Window Galleries, Arts Commons for The Event Pictured from September 4 to November 27, 2017

Chloe is a first year MFA student from Calgary, Alberta. Some of her work is being shown in the group show titled The Event Pictured, which is a group show featuring 3 other female artists. The exhibition pieces were curated to address how the feminine image manifests itself in nature.  

The Exhibition statement reads: The root of the Event Pictured is displacement. Displacement of humans as they interrupt and occupy landscape. Drapery is a cloak over the obstructed human form, casting the figure as an ambiguous entity attempting to integrate. Revolving around human appropriation of natural imagery and intervention into wild spaces, The Event Pictured is an insight into longing for that which we are incompatible.
