Ultrakill AU Idea thingy I got like 5 minutes ago

AU where after V1 defeats V2 in 4-4, V2 added a failsafe to the whiplash where if V1 did defeat him again V2 as a failsafe put his conciousness (AI) into the Whiplash and her plan was that when he'd get killed by V1, V2 would take over V1's body and control them, effectively replacing them, and V1 does kill her, so V2's conciousness is now inside V1 but unlike how V2 thought it was gonna turn out, V1's still in control so V1 now just has V2's voice inside their head and all V2 does is tell V1 their skills aren't cool enough and that he'd do better.

Ok. Let’s start this as a web. Concordian Joy who defects to become the White Tiger Secundus l’Cie.

Goes back even further. Rubrumite-Concordian alliance Cobras. Rubrumite Sorrow, End, and Fury. Concordian Pain and Fear. Concordian-Rubrumite Ocelot who was raised Concordian and acts to be in Milites’s favor but secretly supports the Rubrumite effort from the previous alliance.

Concordian Eva who was planted by Lorica, only to be cast out from both nations after failing to get the Philosopher’s Legacy.

Rubrumite-raised Lorican-Rubrumite Big Boss who was devastated by the Boss’s betrayal at the swapped alliance and is tasked to take down the l’Cie.

White Tiger Primus l’Cie Volgin (Concordia and Milites are allied here) who in failing to procure the Philosopher’s Legacy turns Cie’th (Man of Fire).

Because Joy crystallizes in dying to Big Boss, it leaves everyone in shambles. What do you MEAN—

Against all odds, Cipher/the Patriots ends up Militesi. With Zero as the Primus l’Cie.

Rubrumite Campbell… Concordian refugee Frank who was saved once by Big Boss only to end up in Militesi hands. Brought back to serve under the Rubrumite banner. Can’t find it in him to kill this Lorican child so he brings her back to Rubrum as well.

Concordian Kaz who loses to Rubrumite Big Boss and together they settle outside of the Crystals’ nations to form a Crystal-less nation (collecting stragglers and deserters and defectors lol). Rubrumite Strangelove with Concordian Joy. “Ex”-Militesi Huey is making me crazy conceptually though sorry.

Ok I’m skipping mgsv bc I don’t CAREEEEEEE pure Lorican Venom Snake who claims he’s been abandoned by the Vermillion Bird Crystal when in reality he was never linked to it. Militesi Quiet. Concordian Kaz. Concordian-Rubrumite Ocelot. Working as an independent unit under the greater banner of Rubrum. Discovered by Militesi-raised Liquid who is fucking PISSEDDDDD and Rubrumite Mantis who looks at Ocelot like :tbh:.

Oh my god. Lorican Gustava who’s trying to move to Rubrum with Frank and Naomi but gets rejected as a non-refugee. Forced into the Lorican draft in the end.

Big Boss leaves the Diamond Dogs under V’s care while he fucks off to the Lorica-Rubrum border to establish FOXHOUND under Rubrum.

Lorican-raised Snavid who’s brought into FOXHOUND, finds out he’s being trained under two Concordians but you know what, he doesn’t have time for questions when both of them are kicking his ass personally despite not being Lorican. Think of it like the Milites-Rubrum student transfer program and Lean, but for Lorica and Rubrum. And of course, Big Boss, in this time, becomes the Vermillion Bird Crystal’s Primus l’Cie.

As the l’Cie, wants Rubrum to split the Lorica-Rubrum alliance. Has V pose as swapping to work with Milites on Metal Gear. No better way to split an alliance than to betray and attack them. FOXHOUND sent to deal with it—Fox can’t kill V, not knowing it’s not Big Boss. Snavid sent in to rescue Fox and kill V. Temporarily slows the transition of alliance, but Snavid, who left thinking Big Boss crystallized, doesn’t realize he didn’t. Lorican Snavid is left alone.

Fox is left haunted and confused at Big Boss’s decision to betray Lorica, tearing down the peace-through-war he thought they were trying to achieve. But Big Boss finds him and explains it’s the Crystal’s directive and he agrees to help.

With Fox by his side, sets up a proper alliance between Milites and Rubrum to advance the magitek/magic hybrid Metal Gears, with full intention to storm Lorica and then Concordia with them. Well. Lorican-raised Snavid will not let that happen. More importantly, FOXHOUND, which was a mix of Loricans and Rubrumites, disapproves of the change in alliance, and remains its own mixed sect. With Gustava’s (and Fox’s) help, he does destroy the currently made Metal Gear and makes sure Big Boss crystallizes this time. In doing this, the Milites-Rubrum alliance fizzles, and all 4 nations are split again.

Fox is recovered by Militesi forces (the Patriots) and Para Medic uses him as an experiment in hybridizing humans and magitek in order to make them capable of using “magic”. Rescued by his sister in a covert mission, he manages to kill her, but not without being permanently fused with the magitek she was testing on him. FOXHOUND, now without Big Boss, caught between two split nations, declares itself an independent nation akin to MSF back in the day. Milites-raised Lorican-Rubrumite Liquid, Rubrumite Mantis, Concordian-raised Concordian-Lorican Raven, Militesi Octopus, Concordian Wolf, and ofc, Concordian-Rubrumite Ocelot. White Tiger Secundus l’Cie Liquid.

FOXHOUND, under Liquid’s directive, aims to recover the Militesi magitek of Metal Gears, intending to use it to re-establish itself at the top of Milites’s military command, using its basis in a multi-national group to incentivize their belief in cooperation to conquer all nations.

With this major new threat posited at all four nations, incl. Milites as many disagree with the idea of mass cooperation in weaponry. They group together to stop the resurgent FOXHOUND, ft. Militesi Nastasha, Rubrumite Mei Ling, Lorican Naomi, Rubrumite Campbell, Rubrumite Meryl. The primary researcher working on Metal Gear Rex is the Militesi Otacon. He believed he was making a new model of Magitek Armor, not realizing they wanted to try to infuse it with magic. At the same time, Gray Fox was getting used in the background as an obstacle to Snake by Naomi and Liquid both as he, in his experimented insanity, begs to fight Snake to the death. Burdened by electricity magic he can’t properly control which constantly backfires on him. They expected him to keep to the standards he’s had for the past few years in his identityless state, but instead, upon seeing Snake again, he gains a semblance of sanity and turns on Liquid to aid him before dying.

Liquid, upon failing the White Tiger Crystal, turns Cie’th upon defeat. Snake has to put him out of his misery.

Y'know what surprise post it's Otacon time he's on my mind rn (I have had some of the songs I've assigned to him on repeat lately) pokemon au is back!! Og mgs, mgs2 and mgs4

BUT YEAH!! POKEMON!!! he's one of my -if not the- most developed character au-wise in regards to pokemon and teams and things so yuh yuh under cut my insane person rambles

Okay SO we are going by game.

Mgs

- Porygon and Magnemite: Very straightforward the hacker/engineer pokemon duo!! He got them in college. His buddies his pals

- Sobble: actual plot here! It was a gift by Sniper wolf, who had Intelleon as her main pokemon. It is very much like him in the first game (cries and can turn invisible, in this au he got the camo gear idea from Sobble!!) and is perked upon his shoulder always. Also the water type is a sad little connection to the.pool. yeah. Anyways, he leaves it behind after leaving shadow Moses cuz he isn't a crybaby anymore!! Character growth!! The Sobble is okay don't worry about it

- Venonat: in au-lore. Originally assigned cuz I felt they looked alike, also a nocturnal pokemon to accompany him! But it was a pokemon he saved from being attacked by wolf's mightyenas (stand-in for wolves) it helps him sneak around shadow Moses thanks to its enhanced sight!

Mgs2 (now we get more into my own lore)

- Porygon2 and Magneton: Evolved!! Thanks to philanthropy that is, now they battle alongside snake and Otacon and are key helpers in all things electricity. Magneton is especially key in destabilizing electrical power sources

- Patrat (Shiny): Shiny bcs the color scheme felt cuter, but aside from that its here to match the 'eyes in the sky' role Otacon has now. A little sentinel! It keeps guard if accompanying snake or Otacon in missions.

- Swadloon: its all cozy and cooped up like. Like a nerd. But beside that, and it's role in the future (aka MGS4) it's main function is to sew up any torn garments, and helped Otacon make the new sneaking suit.

- Joltik: you know the bug things set to record conversations in spy movies? Make it an actual bug. Also it eats electricity so its a rlly good pal to have on the computer.

- Helioptile: It's actually a power generator!! Solar powered friend and I'd feel it would've been caught while moving around for philanthropy

* Venonat: He's still there!

Mgs4

Porygon2 & Magneton: Same ol' guys

Galvantula, Watchog, Heliolisk, Venomoth: They all evolved! Even if they spend most of their time in the nomad, Otacon took the time to train all of them after Snake's health started deteriorating just in case they needed to protect Sunny.

Leavanny: Honorable and separate mention! The nanny pokemon and it evolves by friendship. Evolved not long after Sunny arrived into his life, as the pokemon category implies, it takes care of Sunny as well!! Main caretaker whenever Snake and Otacon need some backup in that regard

Rotom: you know Rotom dex? Think metal gear Rotom... Rotom gear. But it's the mk.II instead. Rotom powered! The little dude also helps with every day appliances with it's usual forms

Beheeyem: It matches his sleeker, cooler look. That concept art with the coat? It's the cooler nerd pokemon

Porygon-Z: Used to be Emma's, and it ends up being the last puzzle piece in FOXALIVE in this au. She gave it to him before, y'know, spoilers but dying and all dat!

Well that's it!! I love Otacon he's so me I'm so him. Nerds with big glasses... Hopefully if I get the energy I'll do more deep dives like these but tbh for Snake his team is p static. Whatever !!! Ty guys for listening gn !!

sometimes you listen to some songs and the song = blorbo connection gets increasingly obscure.

Like yeah "Burn It Down" by Vixy & Tony is a Renee Minkowski song, that's fairly straightforward, the spirit of the song - self-confidence, claiming who you are, becoming who you are - is kind of a recurring theme of hers.

"I Hope You Don't Mind" (also Vixy & Tony) is a Nica Stamatis song, a little bit more obscure but the idea of waiting and wishing and resenting and being sad at home, being hurt by someone not being here, "find a message in a bottle wonder if it's meant for me," it's very Nica.

"We Are Who We Are" (Vixy & Tony) assumes the subject is an ordinary human nerd in our world but like besides that it is strongly a Murderbot song, about finding solace and strength and self-understanding in stories and then fandom.

"Likho's Lullaby" (I am listening to Vixy & Tony's album "We Are Who We Are" while I do spreadsheet entry okay) is an Alexander Hilbert song. Or maybe, rather, more accurately, a Dimitri Volodin song. I can't justify this it's just vibes. It's sad and suspicious and resigned, for something as sweet as a lullaby.

and then another song I've had stuck in my head for the last several days, "Nobody's Side" from the iconic 1986 cold war musical Chess is about losing faith in your partner while politics spiral out of control around you and everyone is devolving into factionalism and leaving you in lurch and it is sort of a Viktor Arcane song and sort of a Vi Arcane song but deep in my heart I know that it is, truly, an Emma Emmerich/Naomi Hunter song from my MGS4 AU that lives in my head where E.E. survived MGS2 because god damn she deserved to, and then started an inadvisable but very satisfying affair with Naomi Hunter which makes nothing actually better
