what are some really minor mh characters? like, ones just mentioned in the diaries and stuff. bc i remember a witch dude who got name-dropped in valentine's diary and im disappointed we never got to see him elsewhere

hmmmmm as far as diary characters go, there was the witch guy u mentioned. and there was a cyclops in toralei’s diary that she met at math camp. can’t remember her name

a lot of the parents only show up in the diaries, too, but thats also like. most of them JFDSAJFSADLK

operetta had a friend back in new goreleans named fynn or something. it never said what kinda monster he was, just that he knew oppy

the wolf siblings have more siblings that aren’t shown on-screen but none of them are mentioned by name

dedyet would also count as another rly minor character from the diaries i think since she was introduced in robecca/hexiciah’s sdcc diaries

for other media that isn’t the diaries, there’s the normie characters from the lisi harrison book series: candace, brett, bekka, and haylee. theyre all pretty interesting in their own ways but i cant stand brett’s ass

in the mh diaries (the book series, not the doll diaries….confusing i know) there’s cy clops and that dragon headmistress whose name i forgot. and mrs. sue nami

okay i finished those ghoulfriends books and i have some things to day. first, good things

i said this already but the lore this adds is so good. not one but two ancient monster societies, and new characters, too

venus gets some characterization which is awesome bc she didn’t get a whole lot in the preboot. i love her

wydowna gets a personality!!!

we learn that mh has dorms, which explains where a lot of the students live

everyone is reduced to like 1 personality trait no matter who they are

the writing/pacing is weird but honestly, when is mh not weird when it comes to that

forced love plot between robecca and a cyclops named cy clops, which i hated. cy was ok but it felt very forced for the sake of assuring us she is in fact likes boys and not girls, guys, even tho the trio refers to each other as their girlfriends and holds hands and kisses each others cheeks in canon,

this is personal but the little bit of cl.euce that was in there is really bad. but im chalking that up to them not knowing what they were doing w either of them but i talked about that already 

related but deuce literally cannot be in a scene w/o the author mentioning rochelle’s crush on him, whether its a point where shes over it or not. literally not once is he there w/o it connecting him to rochelle

also, cleo never shows up unless she’s arguing w/ toralei, and vice versa

actually this entire book is really really author-favoritey. their favorites are obviously the main trio (fine) they ship deuchelle (no) and they hate cleo and toralei (no) and think cleo and deuce dont treat each other warmly (no) 

fits into neither category above but still worth mentioning

ramses is willing to put his daughter in an underground prison and pretend like she’s been kidnapped in order to make monster hierarchies a thing in new salem. i knew he was bad but my god?? please someone help cleo and do it soon
