The way I put Kassvin and Midas next to each other thinking they'll be good because the color schemes match... Kassvin is shedding martyr tears and Midas is just 馃檪
Tumblr media
Kassvins portrait is smaller and while he's at the center of the canvas, he's not the focus. If this isn't a perfect explanation of them as a pair I don't know what is. I'm stunned. Midas has not a single thought behind those eyes.

Yo, Mida拧 on the TV shelf? Mom put Mida拧 on the TV shelf? Mom put Mida拧, my imaginary dead bitch on the shelf. Above the TV.

My Eldarya OCs dead sister is on full display in the living room.
What a time to be alive.

I love her so much, makes me wish I didn't kill her.
(Is dead, or is?)

Kassvin in traditional blavian attire.
This outfit specifically is what Midas would have worn if she didn't frikin die two months before her wedding.
The embroidery on the cloth accessories (apron and sash) are maty贸 stile embroidery and the embroidery on the bodice is supposed to chakan but I suck at it so its kinda ehh. It passes the vibe check.
There is a bunch of symbolism, most of which is perhaps rooted in real cultures, perhaps made up on the spot.
One thing is for sure, this is him on his wedding day after the ceremony because those red dots are from Mongolian culture and they are worn by married women.
The headress is exclusive to royalty, the blue represents the sky and the gold panels are the rays of the sun. He's the prince of blavio and a national blorbo, of course he's everyones sunshine.
The pin on his headscarf is an eye, it is a religious symbol. Like a cross necklace.
The crest of Blavi贸 is partially covered up by the scarf, but it's pinned onto his bodice.
He also has five braids, the fifth one is completely hidden because five is the number representing death in blavian folklore and noone sees it coming. Usually.
I've spent 3 hours on it, I am in pain.
