A video of something I tried to get a picture of which is III and IV playing with Vessel at the end of Atlantic, and a bit of II Getting Into The Music at the end as well; from the Pittsburgh ritual
personally i think it's for the best that will and hannibal didn't date during season 1 or 2 era times entirely because hannibal knows exactly how to drive the man insane. and i don't mean the usual way i mean will would be at work and getting the most tooth-rottingly sweet texts, the kind that are so embarassing to receive that you would rather fight your friend to the death than let them see your phone.
G Flip's Cruel Summer cover came on during hour 4 of 6 in the car today, and I thought about how Rory x Logan coded it is (not the first person to do so, of course) - you know, the whole, oh, it's fine, no rules, I'll be whatever you want because I'm trying to be a cool girl. And then of course my literati brain immediately juxtaposed that with the expectations Rory had for Jess, for what a relationship was supposed to be, etc. And anyway, it made me wonder if the "cool girl, casual dater" Rory wasn't also a direct result of the heartbreak she felt the last time she put her wants and needs out there... and got left behind.
This piece consists of two wooden plaques depicting the heraldic coats of arms of Queen Elizabeth I and John Hawkins, one of the first British slave traders. These are superimposed by a series of plastic tubes, intravenous drip bags, wires, and electric pumps circulating imitation blood.
In 1564, Hawkins was given a royal ship in order to enslave Africans and sell them in the Spanish colonies in the West Indies; he ultimately kidnapped more than 400 people. His profit was so great that the queen granted him a new coat of arms bearing the image of enslaved men.
"Prob'ly get run over by a big black car," said Brian, picking at a scab on a dirty knee. He brightened up. "Do you know," he said, "my cousin said that in America there's shops that sell thirty-nine different flavors of ice cream?"
This even silenced Adam, briefly.
"There aren't thirty-nine flavors of ice cream," said Pepper. "There aren't thirty-nine flavors in the whole world."
"There could be, if you mixed them up," said Wensleydale, blinking owlishly. "You know. Strawberry and chocolate. Chocolate and vanilla." He sought for more English flavors. "Strawberry and vanilla and chocolate," he added lamely.
And if that’s not the funniest thing, speaking as an American with time spent living Elsewhere. We really do have an absurd number of ice-cream flavors, and it doesn’t strike us as odd.
POV: You ship Stacey and Young Neil together and want to read a fic for them
AO3:
One fic, they are also a side pairing (that hasn’t even shown up yet!)
FF.Net:
Around seven or more fics for them. All are from the early 2010s, haven’t updated in years, and all vary in quality
Wattpad:
You went here to see if there was something for them that’s recent and you found nothing. Low key a waste of your time, but it was worth a shot
You immediately run back to the one palatable fic on FF.Net cause it’s better than nothing, and checking each of their character tags on AO3 to see if someone posted something for them (spoiler no one has)
