After I was laid off from Walt Disney Imagineering in 1995, after five years of service there as an employee, I ended up going back to Disney as a freelance sculptor and designer where I worked on further projects for various Disney Second Gates (Disney’s other theme parks other than Disneyland, The Magic Kingdom, and EPCOT Center) such as Disney’s Animal Kingdom, Blizzard Beach, Typhoon Lagoon, as well as a couple of mega-entrances to two Disney resorts ... The Mighty Ducks Resort Hotel and the Fantasia Resort Hotel. The Mighty Ducks goalie mask represents a 40′-foot tall entryway to the hotel which I sculpted and the Sorcerer’s Apprentice hat which was also the entrance to the hotel mentioned above. The dinosaur you see me sculpting in the bottom left photo was later sculpted life-size which you will see in one of my posts here at some point.
