2/4 More Bugtale bugs ^^
Moths are kind of the underdog of bug society. Most of them are considered 'ugly' or 'disgusting' because they are always compared to their sleeker Butterfly cousins. Their wings, while range in colors, are furred and therefore only select moth breeds are considered desirable.
Those Moths are then given armbands to signify their exception and entry as a model or higher working bug.
Rosy Maple moths and Milionia moths are one of the few moth breeds to be given exception to their whole subspecies.
Many designer and fashion bugs enjoy using these species for their shows or to just sit around their homes and look pretty.
Less desirable moths are then funneled into other jobs like rangers or spies due to their great camouflage skills.
Moth fluff is also sold in markets as a very soft material to use in nesting or fabrics.

Continuing on with my ‘real bugs behind the game’ series for the phone game, Flutter Starlight! We’re taking a closer look at some of the species from a recent-(ish) event.
Guenther’s Orange-banded Geometer (Milionia basalis guentheri) is a very handsome species of geometer butterfly found in Japan, parts of Himalaya, Burma and Sundaland, in both mountain and lowland areas. As you might guess from the bright colors of the adults, it is a day-flying species. The adults feed on nectar from flowering shrubs such as  Leptospermum flavescens, as pictured above. The caterpillars feed on evergreen trees and shrubs Dacrydium and Podocarpus. Once they are ready to pupate, they rapel down to the ground with a silk thread and then dig a little into the soil so they can transform safely.
While some of the moths in this game can be very hard to find photos of online,  Milionia basalis is blessed with many photos. If you try googling you’ll run into plenty of stunning shots. (Most are under its scientific name, but some may be under the common name ‘Orange-banded Pine Moth.’) Unfortunately, however, the sub-species in particular named by the game–  guentheri– is much, much harder to find. All I have located are a few pictures of dead mounted individuals. (the fourth photo) This is a shame, because mounted pictures really do not show off the beauty of these animals at all. For instance, the shot of the butterfly perched on the ground (follow link for full stock photo) shows off its iridescent turquoise body and legs.
Still, the game specified guentheri because red replaces orange in this subspecies. It was a Fourth of July event for the game, so the theme was red, white and blue. As such, I can understand their logic. I have to wonder, though, why they did not choose Milionia coalescens, a similar species I ran across in my searching. To me, the blue and red seem even more striking.
