COMPONENT 1 - DEVELOPMENT OF HONG KONG ANIMATION: RECENT DEVELOPMENT

Same as the history part, I am following the timeline to talk about the well-known ones among Hong Kong’s animations produced recently and outstanding achievements, also I want to discuss how animators and producers make the animation succeed.

For the achievements, Hong Kong animator Kwai Bun invented Quantum Human program in 2015. It is an automatic human modeling program which simplifies the process of rigging character models and turns it into one click. It is a very excellent achievement in Hong Kong’s animation industry, even around the world.

In 2017, there were two pilot animations of Dragon’s Delusion, and the movie was released in 2020. The pilot animations have attracted many audiences with its special colour tones and interesting storytelling, and thus the movie became famous before it was officially released. In 2019, The Great Detective Sherlock Holmes: The Greatest Jail Breaker is released. The movie is an adaptation of two chapters from the same-named children fiction series, and the series is very popular. In 2020, Tea Time Rhapsody, the Milktealogy animation series made by Tsui Ka Hei and Tsui Ka Long, is released on YouTube. Before the animation series can be produced, the Tsui Brothers created illustrations and comic series which promotes the culture of milk tea and Hong Kong-style cafe, Cha Chaan Teng. These have gained popularity for their project Milktealogy, so their animation series are also famous among the society.

From the works mentioned above, actually we can see a pattern. Before the animated films are released, animators and producers will first promote their work with simple drawings, merchandise or short films to gain recognition. Therefore, it may have a higher chance that they can receive funds from investors to produce their animations. It is hard for animators to survive in Hong Kong’s animation industry only with their professional skills, they also need to promote themselves and know how to do business at the same time.

勝香園 - 牛油檸檬汁蜜糖脆脆

中環的午飯時間，一向被視為戰場，打工放飯碰上遊客覓食，排隊等候是基本常識吧，少點部署就不如叫外賣算了😅。兩間人氣爆燈的食肆開在同一條橫街，形成的引力無比巨大，在街口已能看見人群，勝香園加上對面九記牛腩的人口密度絕對可以稱霸中西區！

其實不用介紹都知道，勝香園的名物(s)，蕃茄湯麵不是兄弟那杯茶，今次點了另一招牌菜，牛油檸檬汁蜜糖脆脆。烘底豬仔包口感脆爆，一咬即時粉碎，after taste中有些許檸檬酸味，整體味道比奶油豬清淡，會不會是過譽了的味道，就見仁見智啦～留意返由於用上蜜糖作醬料，拿起來吃時特別黏手！

位於中環美輪街石級樓梯底的勝香園，為香港碩果僅存大牌檔其中之一，亦是該區人氣高企的老字號茶記。店舖旁的古老石磗地板因為茶檔多年來沒有搬遷，修輯工程未能進行（但附近的其他石級已修輯完成，化為烏有，mola mola...😭），才能維持原有歷史痕跡和街頭風格。

勝香園的熱奶茶採用透明硬膠杯配膠攪拌匙，説真的賣相並不討好，但紅茶和淡奶比例適中，入口有層次，茶味和奶味同樣芳香濃郁，起初順滑，待茶溫下降後口感才有所改變。用餐後，在露天茶檔嘆茶，感受老店的情懷，實在是賞心樂事！

Milktea of the week - 陶記茶餐廳

熱度 3 賣相 2 香味 3 順滑 2 比例 3 濃度 3 回甘 4 兄弟今次來到遠離繁囂的西貢（其實都係好近市區...），屬於傳統漁業區域，有碼頭又有海鮮街，亦有歐陸風格商店，氣氛比較悠閒。來到陶記茶餐廳前的球場，有正在準備百年廟會慶典的工程，在空地上搭建戲棚和特色檔攤，相信會吸引不少本地和外國遊客到訪吧。 陶記茶餐廳熱奶茶採用不同品牌瓦杯和杯碟，有種說不出的違和感（強迫症發作中😅）奶茶入口雖不算順滑，但有奶香和回甘；要留意室內冷氣使茶溫急降，可能用餐前就要嘆茶啦！或許是當日下雨關係，餐廳人流不多，正如茶記熟客所言：天氣會影響奶茶沖泡時間和口感，要嘆「原味」就要等好天氣。下次遊船河前再試試！ 價錢 $ HKD 17.00
