hi small scc thought i want to share bc i got reminded of it: scc's songs arent actually 4 (3?) seconds long, its like an inside joke they have. around when they were all talking for the first time sweet made a joke about how they hardly ever finish anything (adhd + perfectionism problems) and they said that all their music was only 4 seconds long. this caused cap'n and k_k to lose their fucking MINDS and now they reference the conversation at LEAST once a week.

if i had a nickle for every time an indie horror game made a possible reference to “peter, peter, pumpkin-eater” i’d have two nickles, which isn’t a lot but it’s cool that it happened twice

ok jokes aside this thought has been rattling in my brain for a bit and today while i was in the shower a few pieces kinda fell into place ok sO

theres this nursery rhyme that’s called. well. “peter peter pumpkin eater”, and from what i’ve gathered it has a couple of common variations now but one of them (and the one i’m most familiar with) is as follows:

Peter, Peter pumpkin eater, Had a wife but couldn't keep her; He put her in a pumpkin shell

And there he kept her very well.

and i’ve been thinking and like, it’s kind of similar to the situation between thomas and kamryn, isn’t it? they were married, but split off/possibly officially divorced? after louis drowned (”Had a wife but couldn’t keep her”)

and then for the last two lines it kinda corresponds to how thomas likely had the entity drag kamryn’s corpse into the game after the fire, where she was left to the mercy of the entity but preserved all the same as margaret

and then of course, peter himself is what made me think about this all in the first place - but that could easily just be a coincidence. peter pumpkin sounds Very good from an alliteration standpoint, but when you think about the poem as well... idk, its just food for thought

hi did yall know i like onaf no well now u do im having thoughts that are spoilers for onaf 3 so im gonna (attempt to) put them under a cut oh BABY

(edit: as of 11-6-21 ive also added a picture of one particularly gorey scene, so be wary of that as well)

onaf 3 was like. ok first of all the music FUCKED ok it was SO GOOD and so unsettling i loved it i hated it

second of all fucking. flumpty night just as a whole. it was batshit but the thing that gets me the most was how the rest of the crew, save for i think redman, was just. fucking slaughtered. brutally. the fact that it was in the same room with patience meter flumpty doesnt bode well at all! like it seems like he got super pissed that the others couldnt stop the player so he just . killed them and took matters into his own hands. i do REALLY like how flumpty night took elements from the previous games too tho that was like, REALLY cool.

EDIT: after a couple of people in asks and replies mentioned it to me i realized redman was indeed not spared :( golden flumpty wasn’t either. i made an image pointing out where everyone is in the camera. thx to the ppl who pointed it out!

third was like? the different endings? ig you can call them that but like how beating the night normally gets the typical “different word in place of 6am” thing, in this case salami, and then you get out into the world and its an apocalypse scenario but then hard boiled mode not only switches to flumpty night halfway through but at the end gives the first ACTUAL 6 am in the history of the series and the door opens to a Normal Fucking world!!!! again my thinking for that one is like. flumpty going “ok you win ill let you go PSYCHE its HORRIBLE OUT THERE i was PROTECTING YOU you should stay so you dont burn to death :))))” like the asshole he is like the fire world was just an illusion to keep the player around for tormenting idk maybe im reading too far but

in summary im going to throw flumpty off the nearest building thank you and goodnight
