Last year, when Oshi no Ko was airing its first season, I remembered someone on Twitter calling Aqua a white F***boy.

However, they're incorrect.

The real f***boy in this show is this guy.

He's 22 years old and he's hitting on 16-year-old girls and trying to get their contact information.

He even got Ruby's contact information which just made me sigh in frustration like Kana and Memcho because girl, men like him are instant red flags, even if they are good at their jobs.

takes place after ruby and minami show up at the tokyo blade rehearsal room!

The evening is pleasant. Ruby tilts her head back, enjoying the feel of the cool breeze on her neck. Her scarf is wrapped around her hands, warming them from washing them in the bathroom. Minami walks beside her in companionable silence, shooting concerned looks in intervals. Ruby kinda appreciates it, especially after the bombshell she just dropped on her.

She trusts Aqua…she does! She knows her brother can be secretive but she knows his stance on the topic of dating, especially after the very long and embarrassing talk Miyako sat them both down for. She knows Akane-san and Aqua are just in a work relationship (the scumbag!. She knows there's no chance of a surprise pregnancy.

She can't help but worry anyway.

They reach the park, when Minami apparently had enough of the silence.

"Ruby, was somethin' wrong?" she asks, slightly cautiously and Ruby can't help but tense up. She doesn't really like lying, but Ruby doesn't really have any other way to explain her hatred of that topic without getting into why she doesn't like it. She doesn't like lying either, so in these cases, she can't help but freeze.

"Haha, it's nothing really!" she responds, sending a cheerful grin at Minami. "I don't really want to think about my brother, in that context, okay?!"

Minami eyes her dubiously, eyes bright and keen, hair tumbling around her shoulders. The setting sun casts a pretty glow to her hair and Ruby suddenly feels way too warm.

"If ya say so…" she faces forward again. "Jus' seemed like there was more goin' on is all."

Ruby presses her lips together, feeling a nauseating guilt build up inside her. She fiddles with the edge of her a scarf for a minute, before saying, "No really, it's just…well Miyako-san had a few recent talents with a scare and we just…got spooked." It's the best thing she could come up with on the fly. 16 years ago is recent enough right? Right?

Minami "ohhhs" in understanding, gently reaching out to pat her shoulder. "That makes a hell of a lot of sense…we got a few scares in my agency too so I get it."

Ruby breathes a sigh of relief, unwinding her scarf from around her hands to wrap it back around her neck. Her hands are warm enough now and she's starting to feel cold. "Well it's that and I haven't really ever kissed anyone, so I don't get it either." Well more like in her last life she never thought she'd ever get to the age where she could fall in love with someone and in this life, she was too focused on becoming an idol to think about it. Not that it really mattered all that much since idols couldn't date anyway.

"Me neither," Minami shrugs when Ruby turns to look at her. "Whatcha so surprised for?" she chuckles at Ruby's stunned expression.

"You're really pretty though!" Ruby couldn't really articulate why this surprised her. She know that dating was really common in the entertainment industry, so she kinda assumed everyone around her had at least dated once. Wasn't sixteen around the age for it? "And doesn't everyone date until now at least?"

"Nah, lot less than you'd think actually," Minami gestures vaguely. "More like just casual stuff and hangouts. Lotsa people get into work relationships for appearances too." Like Aqua and Akane then.

"Well that's news to me," Ruby murmured, still mildly surprised. "I thought everyone dated."

Minami side eyes her, lips quirking up into a welcome smile. "Do you?"

Does she? With who? In her last life, Sarina never really got the chance and she really has no idea how this kind of thing is supposed to work.

She looks at the way the evening sun glints off Minami's hair, a light breeze causing the curls framing her face to flutter and the interested curve of her smile and thinks she might want to try with Minami though.

"Maybe not dating," Ruby says because she is still an idol. "But just kissing..."

Minami laughs. The two of them come to a stop in front of an abandoned park, and Ruby feels like she's buzzing as Minami turns to face her.

"D'you mind if I kiss you? Or were you just thinking out loud?" Minami asks, reaching out to take her hand.

"I wouldn't mind," Ruby says, lightly hopping on her feet, flushing.

Minami smiles, leans over and kisses her softly.

It's over in a few seconds, but it leaves Ruby frozen, red climbing into her cheeks as she keeps staring at the way a blush mirrors on Minami's cheeks, who had shuffled back-- but kept holding her hand.

"That was good," Minami giggles at Ruby's still flushed face.

"Y-Yeah! It really was," Ruby finally manages to speak.

She shuffles a little and they start walking again, in peaceful quiet. "Thanks Minami," she says. Her hand is really warm.

The evening really was a lovely one.
