Make My Life Complete
Tumblr media
Pairing: Namjoon x You
Word Count: 4,630
Genre: Fluff
A/N: I had this fic posted before, but some how I deleted it?? Anyways...enjoy this Namjoon fluff!
Your hand was dwarfed in Namjoon's as the two of you stood there in the entrance to the university. It was by the grace of the higher powers you even got in, with your track record and all. You weren't the best student, not by far. Not because you had terrible grades or anything, it was because you missed a lot of school. That's what happens when your mom drags you in every which way when she breaks off her relationship with the flavor of the month. But the most recent move, was the last one. You couldn't have been any happier, not only could you finally have a place to call home but it's when you met and fell madly for Kim Namjoon.
By now you had a system, you unpacked the kitchen, bathroom, and what little things you had for your room. You both had been busy unpacking the house when the doorbell chimed.
"I got it!" You shouted at your mom.
"Thank you!" She said from the depths of her room.
You opened the door to see a tiny woman with a boy that doubled her size in a baseball cap right next to her. "Hello! I'm Ms. Kim from next door. This is my son Namjoon." You looked into the eyes of the boy next to her and he smiled at you. "And since we saw the moving truck we wanted to welcome you to the neighborhood." she said sweetly as she held out a plate of baked goods.
"Thank you!" you went to say but your mom beat you to it as she came to stand by you. "I'm Dahlia. And this is my daughter y/n. It's so kind of you to come over and introduce yourselves. Want to come in for some coffee?"
"That would be lovely!" Ms. Kim answered and waled straight into your house. "Joonie?" She called out.
"Joonie?" you asked and he looked down blushing.
"Yeah my mom calls me that, even though I asked her not to!" he nearly shouted the last part obviously frustrated.
"Namjoon I am your mother remember that, I can call you whatever I like." You snickered and he looked over at you and grinned. "Be a nice boy and show y/n around the neighborhood."
"Mo-oooom, you know I was supposed to hang out with the guys." he said.
"Namjoon." His mom simply stated before turning to look at him.”You see them all the time. Be a nice boy.”
He straightened up and nodded. She turned around and continued the conversation with your mom. He hung his head and was looking at the ground, embarrassed by the exchange with his mom.
"You know," you said reaching out and touching his arm, trying to get his attention. "You don't have to if you don't want to. It's fine really.I don’t want to ruin your plans."
His head shot up at the sound of your voice. A smile that revealed a set of dimples on his face. "It's no problem at all," he said. "I don't mind."
"Are you sure?," you asked him, and he nodded. "Okay let me put some shoes on. I'll be right back." you told him.
As soon as you were done lacing up your shoes, you checked your appearance in the mirror. ‘Why do you even care? You just met him’ You laughed at yourself before exiting your room.
Namjoon was patiently waiting by the door for you. “Ready?” he politely asked.
You nodded a yes to him. “I’ll be back mom,” you told her but she just waved you off.
You closed the door and stepped out into the warm summer day with your new neighbor. “So...” you said.
“Hmmm?” Namjoon questioned.
“Where are you taking me?” you asked walking alongside him.
“Well I figured I would just show you the neighborhood and show you where I hang out with my friends.” He said looking at you.
“I really didn’t mean to ruin your plans,” you apologized hanging your head slightly.
“Nah don’t worry about it.” He told you but you weren't too convinced. You were still looking towards the ground when he nudged you with his shoulder. “I mean it, Don’t worry about it.”
“If you say so Joonie,” you remembered the nickname his mom called him by.
“Not you too!” he fake cried.
For what seemed like hours the two of you walked around and talked. You learned a lot about him as you familiarized yourself with your new hometown. Namjoon’s favorite color was black, his favorite number was one, he was a lover of books and clothes. Which didn’t come as a surprise to you, he was dressed in a pair of black denim shorts, a black and white tank top, and a black baseball cap. You appreciated when someone bothered to match their clothing.
In return, you told him your favorites. You loved the color maroon, your favorite number was six, you also loved books. But your main love was music. You couldn’t get enough of it. “It’s just that I can get lost in it and not have a care in the world. It’s relaxing and therapeutic, I’m not sure where I would be without it,” you confessed. “No matter where a person is at in the world, music portrays the same story. A story of love, loss, heartbreak, happiness. It’s something that everyone can relate to.”
“I totally get what you mean, It’s the same with books. I get so immersed in the story sometimes I often forget the time or where I am. I’ve even read for so long that I accidentally stayed up until four in the morning.” You laughed. “Its not as bad as missing your bus stop though.” He said and that made you laugh even harder. You both kept walking for a little while longer until a voice called out for him.
“Namjoon-ah!” The two of you looked up to see two boys coming your way.
Namjoon looked at you and whispered, “I’m sorry in advance.” That left you confused.
“Where have you been man?” the boy with the mint color hair asked.
“I’ve been showing y/n around the town.” He looked at you. “Y/n I’d like you to meet my best friend Yoongi. She just moved in next door.” Yoongi shook your hand and the boy next to him cleared his throat. “And this is...-” Namjoon went to say but was interrupted.
“I’m Taehyung!” he said rather loudly. You stuck your hand out to shake his but he pushed it away and opted for a hug instead.
“Tae! Don’t scare the poor girl off,” Yoongi said.
“It’s okay. I don’t mind, he’s a lot friendlier than most of the people I’ve run across,” you spoke up.
The four of you talked for a bit. Yoongi was a bit standoff-ish, whereas Taehyung had his arm thrown around your shoulder. You had a feeling right then and there that this was going to be your favorite move by far.
“So are we still on for tonight then?” Yoongi asked Namjoon.
“Yeah we are.” He looked at you and explained that him and his friends had planned on having pizza at Jimin’s house and gaming. “You want to join us?” he asked.
“No. I don’t want to intrude on your plans again.” You politely declined.
“Please come!” Taehyung whined. He was acting like a puppy, with his hands stuck out like paws and his tongue hanging out of his mouth as he panted. He petted your hair with his ‘paws’ and right before he went in to lick your cheek you agreed.
“Okay!” you laughed at him. You looked at Namjoon to see a smile on his face.
Not long after, the two boys left you and Namjoon. He made a loop around the block which was leading you back towards your house. “I’ll come and get you around seven. Is that okay?” he asked you.
“If you’re okay with me tagging along...” the sentence trailed off.
“Y/n,” You liked how his voice sounded when your name fell from his lips. “It’s no problem. I want you to meet my other friends. You need friends too since you just moved here. Some of them are going to the same school as us.” You nodded.
“Okay if you say so.” You told him as you reached your front door. “Thank you for showing me around. I really appreciate it.”
“Of course. It was great getting to know you.” He smiled. “What’s your number?” he asked making you blush. He rubbed the back of his neck with his hand. “I mean so that I can text you...-” you laughed at his nervous tone, but gave him your number before he left.
As soon as you closed the door, your mom came from the bathroom. He hair was wet which was a sign that she just got out the shower. “I was wondering when you’d be back. I almost called the police,” she joked. “Did you have a nice time?”
“Yeah I did. I met two of his friends. And they invited me to hang out tonight, if that’s okay?” you asked her.
“Of course it’s okay. I’m glad you’re already making friends.” She stopped towel drying her hair. “I know us moving a lot hasn’t been easy on you. I apologize for that. I promise this is the last time.” She hugged you. She talked to you for a few more minutes before you went to go finish unpacking your room.
A few hours had passed when you were organizing your books with your music up loud when you felt a presence behind you. You turned around to see Namjoon standing in your doorway and nearly screamed.
“What are you doing here?!” You questioned as you turned the volume down.
“I text you like ten minutes ago asking if you were ready. You didn’t reply so I came over and you mom said you were in your room.” He replied.
“But I didn’t hear my phone go off,” you said confused. You reached into your back pocket to notice that you did receive a text from a new number. “Whoops,” you blushed.
“I told you,” he smirked. “Your music was too loud. You ready?”
“Yeah just let me say bye to my mom.” He nodded and followed you out to the living room where your mom was painting her toenails and watching a movie. “Mom? We’re leaving now. I have my phone if you need me.”
“Have fun sweetie,” she said without looking up.
“Okay let’s go,” you told him. You closed the door behind you two and let him lead the way. “Who’s all going to be there?” you asked him.
“Well there’s going to be Yoongi and Taehyung,” you nodded. “And Jin, he’s the oldest. Hes goes to the local university, but he’s on summer break right now. Hoseok too. Although he goes to an out of state college. Umm Jimin will be there, He’s going to the same school as us. He’s one of the nicest guys you’ll ever meet. He’s got a great voice too...He sings in the choir at school. And last but not least Jungkook. He’s the youngest of us all, he’s like a little brother to me.” He noticed the nervous look on your face. “Don’t worry they’re nice guys. I wouldn’t be friends with them otherwise.” He told you. Something about his voice and his overall presence made you feel at ease.
It was a fifteen minute walk to Jimin’s house and Namjoon just walked on in like it was his own.
“Namjoon-hyung is that you?” You heard a voice call out. A younger boy walked around the corner and froze.
“Yes it is. Jungkook this is my new neighbor, Y/n,” the boy couldn’t look you in the eyes. You shot a questioning glance at Namjoon. “He gets really shy in front of girls,” he said.
“Especially pretty girls,” another boy appeared. He had bright red hair. “I’m Jimin,” he took his hand in yours and kissed your knuckles, making you blush. “Welcome to town and my house.”
“Really Jimin?” Namjoon sounded a little jealous. Jimin just smiled at you. “Is everyone here?” he asked.
“Yeah the pizza got here just before you did.” Jimin said as he lead you guy into another room. “This is the entertainment room,” Jimin explained as four sets of eyes looked towards you.
“Y/n!!! You came!” Taehyung shouted. Yoongi nodded in your direction.
“Y/n, this is Jin,” Namjoon pointed to the boy with a mouth full of food. Jin waved to you with an apologetic look on his face. “That there is Hoseok,” he pointed to the boy with midnight hair and brightest smile.
“It’s nice to meet you!” Hoseok smiled at you again, making you smile too.
“It’s nice to me you guys too,” you said politely.
The boys didn’t waste anytime digging into the pizza and talking. Namjoon had two plates in hand and sat down right next to you. “Thank you,” you whispered to him and he just smiled at you. The night was a blur of laughter and shouting when one player lost to another in the whatever game the were playing.
“Maybe next time?” you yawned out your answer when asked if you wanted to play. Namjoon looked at the time on his phone.
“I didn’t even realize what time it was. I’m sorry for keeping you out so late. Your mom isn’t going to be mad is she?” He asked worried.
“Don’t apologize and no she won’t be mad.” you said letting out another yawn.
“You ready to go?” he asked you and you nodded. “Alright guys we’re out,” he told the boys. Jungkook and Yoongi were already asleep on the spare couch.
“It was nice meeting you,” you said to them waving goodbye.
“Bye y/n” they said in unison.
Namjoon held his lightly pressed his hand to your lower back ushering you out the door with him. It had gotten a bit chilly sometime during the night and you didn’t think to bring a jacket or anything. You shivered and crossed your arms hugging warmth into yourself.
“Are you cold?” Namjoon asked.
“A little yeah. I wasn’t smart enough to bring a jacket.” you replied as he took off his sweatshirt. “No you don’t have-,” you started to say but stopped when he put the jacket around your shoulders.
“You need it more than I do. And honestly what kind of guy would I be if I didn’t give you my jacket?” He asked.
You didn’t answer him, you both let the chirp of crickets and croaks of the frogs fill the silence between you. As the sight of your houses came closer, you thanked Namjoon for showing you around and for introducing him to his friends.
“I had fun today. Thank you,” you told him and he looked towards the ground and smiled.
“There’s no need to thank me Y/n. I had fun today too,” he told you as he walked you to your front door.
“But I do need to thank you. I’ve moved so many times within the past few years and no one, I mean no one has been as kind as you have been. I appreciate that.” You leaned in and kissed him right on the cheek catching him off guard. “Good night Namjoon.” You opened the door and walked inside before he could say anything.
“I can’t believe I just did that.” you said to yourself.
Your mom’s groggy voice sounded from the couch. “You’re home?”
“Yeah I’m home. Sorry it’s late.” you told her.
“Did you have fun?” she asked as she rubbed the sleep from her eyes.
“I did. I feel like this is going to be the best move yet.” you sighed. “I’m going to bed. Good night mom.”
“Good night honey.” she said as she walked to her own room.
You plopped down on your bed before realizing you still had Namjoon’s sweatshirt on. Smiling to yourself, you pulled out your phone to text him.
“I still have your sweatshirt...sorry. I’ll return it tomorrow :)”
His reply was almost instant.
“Don’t worry about it. It looks good on you ;)”
You felt butterflies in your stomach. How could someone you just met make you feel this way?
“Goodnight Joonie”
“Goodnight y/n. Sweet dreams :)”
That first day with Namjoon turned out to be just a preview of what was to come for the rest of the summer, even throughout the school year. He officially asked you out on a date after two weeks of flirting. From then on you two were practically inseparable. You fell madly in love with him. It didn’t feel like it was just some silly high school romance, it felt as real as could be. He took you to all of the school dances, was there for you when you became ill, and threw a surprise party with the help of the boys when you came home from the hospital. He was there for all the moments that mattered. You even applied to the same colleges as he did, knowing there was a chance that you might not get accepted. Even if you didn’t you promised that you’d wait for him.
The squeeze of his hand brought you back to the present time. The moment being slightly scary as you started college.
Sensing your hesitation, your boyfriend brought you in for a hug. “Everything will be okay. Don’t worry.”
“It’s all a little scary and a bit unreal. I thought I’d never get here,” you confessed.
“I know it is babe, but we got this. You got this. I’m right here, don’t forget that.” He hugged you tightly.
You had taken the biggest leap and decided to apply for joint housing off of campus. It didn’t really come as a surprise when the application was rejected. Namjoon had joined an academic fraternity, while you had gotten lucky and was granted to live by yourself in a single dorm. You two had tried matching your schedules but only had gotten one class together. He chose English as his major while you chose Art history as yours. He was more excited than you were when you found out that you had gotten into the same poetry class.
“This is so cool!” he exclaimed. One day, early into the relationship you had told Namjoon that you didn’t understand poetry, and that it was just a bunch of words made to rhyme. He gasped at your words. “Poetry is one of the most beautiful things on earth. How can you not like it?!” he asked.
“I don’t know. I just never got into it. It never made sense.” you shrugged. Without so much as a word Namjoon got up and left. “Where are you going?” you asked confused as to why he was leaving,  A few minutes later he returned from his house and sat by you in the grass.
“I’m going to read you one of my favorite poems.” He said. He cleared his throat and began.
Oh! that my young life were a lasting dream! My spirit not awakening, till the beam Of an Eternity should bring the morrow. Yes! tho’ that long dream were of hopeless sorrow, ’Twere better than the cold reality Of waking life, to him whose heart must be, And hath been still, upon the lovely earth, A chaos of deep passion, from his birth. But should it be—that dream eternally Continuing—as dreams have been to me In my young boyhood—should it thus be given, ’Twere folly still to hope for higher Heaven. For I have revell’d when the sun was bright I’ the summer sky, in dreams of living light, And loveliness,—have left my very heart In climes of mine imagining, apart From mine own home, with beings that have been Of mine own thought—what more could I have seen? ’Twas once—and only once—and the wild hour From my remembrance shall not pass—some power Or spell had bound me—’twas the chilly wind Came o’er me in the night, and left behind Its image on my spirit—or the moon Shone on my slumbers in her lofty noon Too coldly—or the stars—howe’er it was That dream was as that night-wind—let it pass.
I have been happy, tho’ [but] in a dream. I have been happy—and I love the theme: Dreams! in their vivid colouring of life As in that fleeting, shadowy, misty strife Of semblance with reality which brings To the delirious eye, more lovely things Of Paradise and Love—and all our own! Than young Hope in his sunniest hour hath known.
You looked at him with a new view. You knew he was passionate about writing and poetry, but you had never heard him read any of it aloud.
“Who wrote that?” you asked.
“One of the most underrated poets in history, Edgar Allan Poe.” He went on to explain why that specific poem was his favorite. “Not only is it about the wish for the dream to come true but how the same wish will bring sorrow. He writes about his feelings, about his desire and the sorrow he is feeling. The intention was to show how a dream may be the only hope you have, which is true when you think about it. But it’s a lie to reality. It talks about the motivation, anxiety, and hope you get when dreaming, but wake up knowing it was never going to be true.” You could listen to him go on and on about his passion for poetry.
“Wow,” was all that you could say.
“I told you,” he smirked. “Poetry is such a wonderful thing.”
“Hey Namjoon?” you said looking up at him. “Can you read me some more?”
The biggest and most beautiful smile spread across his face, showing the dimples you became accustomed to. “Of course y/n.” The rest of the afternoon you listened to him read poem after poem. It wasn’t just because of his voice or the fact that he read it to you, but it was because the passion he emitted. He gave the once meaningless words life. He helped you understand what they truly meant. Not long after that day, reading poetry became a staple in your life. Sometimes you would read it alone, other times he would repeat that afternoon and read it to you.
Before you knew it most of your first year at college had passed. You were a wreck during exams. Things weren’t always perfect with Namjoon. You had argued due to the stress you both felt from the upcoming finals. Almost immediately after the arguments you would call him apologizing, and he would do the same when it was his turn to apologize.
“I’m sorry babe. There’s no excuse for the things I said. I’m just so stressed because of-” he began.
“Finals. I know. Honestly I’m sorry too. I should have just let it go. I know you don’t mean anything you say and neither do I. Are we good?” you asked.
“Of course we’re good. I love you y/n” he spoke into the phone. Although you’ve heard that phrase from him before, it still made you weak in the knees. You couldn’t believe how a guy like him, someone so incredible could love someone like you. You were lucky to have him and told him that often.
“I love you too Joonie. I’m so lucky to have you,” you sighed.
“You’re lucky? Nah...if anyone is lucky, it’s me.” he chuckled. “It’s getting late and we’ve got class in the morning. You should go to bed Y/n,” he yawned.
“I will. Goodnight my love.” you said in a soft and tired voice.
“Goodnight jagi,” you loved when he called you that. “Sweet dreams.” with those final words he hung up.
A week or so later when exams were nearly finished, you walked into your poetry class alone, wondering where Namjoon was. You opened the door to see everyone in your class settled into their seats. You spotted your chocolate haired boyfriend in his usual spot, right next to yours.
“When did you get here?” you asked sliding into the chair next to him.
“I had to speak to the professor about my grade so I came early,” he stated without looking at you. A weird vibe was coming from him, it wasn’t normal.
“Is everything okay?” you questioned, as he was staring off into space. “Earth to Namjoon,” you waved your hand in front of his face.
“Hmmm? Oh yeah everything is fine Y/n,” he smiled.
Your professor cleared her throat and announced that today's class would start off a little different.
“One of your classmates has asked to use a portion of class to read aloud a poem that he wrote.” She said aloud. You had thought it was going to be that one kid Jongdae who always offered to read his work aloud, to your surprise it was Namjoon.
“What’s going on?” you whispered before he looked at you and winked.
“You’ll see.” he said getting up from his spot and going to the podium in front of everyone. As always he cleared his throat before beginning. “First of all, I want to give thanks to the professor for letting me do this. Second of all I want to thank my girlfriend for being the wonderful person she is.” He looked at you and you flushed a light pink. “Without her, I wouldn’t be the person I am today. So here goes nothing,” he stated.
“I stare into her eyes, and I see a whole world.
Beautiful stars and planets that mix together, mix with me.
Clear as day and deep as the galaxy,
her eyes suck me in and I have no choice but to go.
I am floating in the constellations of her eyes.
Everything she sees, I feel.
I am covered in those hues of colors.
I feel calm in her eyes.
I feel safe in her eyes.
I feel loved in her eyes.
I never want to leave this abyss of bliss.
Like a hug wrapping tightly around me,
her eyes hold me close.
I am lost, I am found.
I enjoy being lost and feel pure joy at being found.
I stare into her eyes, and I see my future.
Love mixed with hope mixed with life mixed with me.
Moving me in the Milky Way,
tossing me gently.
I long for my world to be hidden in her eyes.
Where we can both escape and never be seen.
Together we’d live, in the calm of her eyes.
In a world of beautiful stars and planets that mix together, mix with me”
The words that he spoke brought tears of happiness to your eyes.
“Y/n,” he said coming out from behind the podium. “I have waited my short lifetime to meet someone as special as you. Although we are young, my soul is old, as I’ve often been told. It came alive when you moved in next door to me.” You wiped the now freely falling tears from your cheeks as he dropped down to one knee before you and pulled a small velvety box from his pocket. “Y/n will you please make my life complete and marry me?”
The students around you gasped in surprise. You stared at the beautiful boy in front of you. The first real friend you’ve ever had, the first real boyfriend you ever had, the only love you’ve ever experienced. “Yes. Joonie, I will,” you answered him, leaning forward to frame his face with your hands and pressing your lips to his. “I will. I love you.” He smiled against your lips as the room filled with congratulatory clapping.
“I love you y/n.”

Happy Thanksgiving everyone! I just want to say that I am thankful for everything that I have in my life, both material possessions and friends and family, especially the friends that I have either gained or lost throughout the years.
It is because of them that I obtained meaningful life experiences that I can pass down as words of wisdom to my future children.
It is because of the friends that I have gained that I was able to tackle every single bump in the road because I know they are there, standing behind me and providing me the necessary support and strength that I desperately need. Especially, during the first couple of months after my grandpa had died.
I just want to thank them from the bottom of my heart for providing this warm light that has managed to penetrate the darkness and creating rays of sunshine for me. It is thanks to them that I am able to lie on my bed and type this message right now. It is thanks to them that I am constantly inspired to work hard but still have fun “crying” and/or “ranting” about my many biases and suffer on a daily basis.
It is thanks to them that I am smiling and making wonderful memories that I know would make my grandpa happy and worry about me less.
So, thank you guys! Thank you so much for being in my life!
This message is for: @softjeon @philophobia999 @bread-jinie @yehet-me-up @applekook @jimiinsbf @idk-agustd @so-hoseok @jkfortunekookies @fetus-jungkook @minsugasnerd @a-goldenloner

Going For a Drive
Tumblr media
Genre: Fluff
Word Count: 2,244
Pairing: Lee Seonghwa (Gray)
A/N: This is dedicated to my Soul Partner Kim. It was also a test to see if I could write outside of BTS.
I hope you enjoy!
There you were at the breakfast bar in your apartment, perched on a stool working on an essay. You were working so hard on this final essay for the year, but your brain decided to go into hibernation mode. You couldn’t figure out which words belonged where, or how to explain what you meant, or even how to conclude your paper. It was beyond frustrating. So much so to the point where you huffed out, upset at yourself for not being able to do this simple task. Words usually came so easy to you, so why couldn’t they right now?
“You okay babe?” Seonghwa called out from the couch he had long ago sprawled out on. You loved how attentive he was, he always knew how you were feeling, and could tell the truth when you were lying.
No I’m not okay, you said to yourself. Why would I be okay? I can’t get this shit right!
“Sure,” you answered him. You tried to convince him. It didn’t work, because next thing you knew he was right beside you, peering at the laptop screen.
“You’re working too hard. You barely sleep anymore. Not to mention I’m not even sure when you had an actual meal. Never mind the fact you never do anything for yourself anymore. When was the last time you went out and walked around or hung out with your friends?” He moved to stand behind you, wrapping his arms around you. He rested his chin on your shoulder, awaiting a response from you.
“I get enough sleep. Don’t worry so much about me, I’m fine.” You hated lying to him but he had enough on his plate too with his music.
“I know you’re lying.” He turned his head a fraction towards you, his breath caressing your cheek. You found it hard to focus when he was that close to you.
“Can you not?” you mumbled. “You really don’t need to worry about me.” You looked at him from the corners of your eyes. “Honest.” You reassured him.
“But you know I do. I love you. I’m always going to worry about you.” He said placing a small kiss underneath your ear.
“Hmmm,” you sounded out. He knew that was your weak spot.
“Come on. Take a break.” He said squeezing you into a slightly tighter hug.
“I can’t. I have to finish this. I’m so close to being done.” You told him. He reached over you and closed your laptop shut. “Hey! I said I wasn’t done!” You said with obvious frustration.
“I know but you’re taking a break. Don’t argue with me about this.” He stood up dragging you with him.
“Fight me” you said as you tried to stand your ground.
Seonghwa gave you a look, as an idea came to him. “Fight you?” He mimicked your reply but as a question. “I don’t think you’d want that,” he smirked.
“And I repeat; Fight. Me.” you said as you stared him down.
Without a moments notice your boyfriend came over to you and picked you up, slinging you over his shoulder. He started walking towards the bathroom. As soon as he gently kicked the door open he set you down on the bathroom counter.
“You are going to shower and get dressed.” He said in flat voice that was laced with a bit of frustration.
“Fine!” you groaned.
You hopped in the shower, not realizing how tense you actually were from trying to finish your paper. The hot water made your muscles relax, as well as your overall attitude. You were pulled from your thoughts as he opened the door to the bathroom to ask if you were almost done.
“Yeah I’ll be out in a minute.” You said as you washed the last bit of conditioner from your hair. You shut the water off and stepped out onto the bathroom mat. You saw that Seonghwa had laid your clothes out. After having dried off, you slipped on the black denim shorts and white tank top. You brushed your damp hair, deciding to leave it out to dry and fall into its natural state.
“What are we doing?” You called out to him.
“I’m not telling you!” He yelled from the bedroom.
“I can’t with you!” You replied. You picked up your mascara, deciding to brush on a light layer.
“You love me!” he answered.
“That I do,” you said to yourself as you applied a little bit of burgundy lip tint. You usually didn’t wear make up but decided to today. Once you were happy with your look, you walked out of the bathroom to find that he was dressed in almost the same exact thing as you. “Wow twinning much?” you teased.
He looked down at his black jeans and white shirt. “Ahhh shut up,” he joked as he threw a black and red flannel over his shirt. You walked over to him and planted a kiss on his forehead.
“You know you love me,” you mimicked his statement from earlier. You went and picked out a pair of sneakers from your closet, looking up you saw you own flannel shirt and decided to wear one too.
“You ready?” he asked as he eyed you from the doorway.
“Yeah,” you answered him.
He stuck his hand out towards you. “Let’s go.”
Walking hand in hand out of your apartment, towards his car. You looked at his profile, wondering how someone like him could put up with you for so long. You loved him so much, even though you didn’t always show it. As of lately you hadn’t been the best girlfriend to him. You were always grumpy and turned down his date proposals. You squeezed his hand making him look at you.
“Hmmm?” he hummed.
“Nothing. I just love you,” you smiled at him.
“I love you too,” he pulled you to him, his lips softly touching yours.
Once the both of you were buckled into his car, you turned to him. “Where are we going?”
“You’ll see.” he winked at you.
He knew you hated surprises but you let it slide, just this once. His hand reached out for the radio turning it on, but not loudly. You looked out at the passing people that walked on the sidewalks, some with their families, some alone, some even with their dogs. You always thought about what kind of lives they lived, wondering what their stories were. It got too hot in the car so you pressed the button that opened the sunroof. Smiling at the instant decrease in heat. Seonghwa reached out to place his hand on your bare thigh as he drove toward the destination.
Not more than a half hour later, he turned into a near empty parking lot. It literally was in the midst of nature. Nothing but trees and greenery surrounded you two. He parked the car near the entrance. After he turned the car off he unbuckled his seat belt, he went to the trunk to retrieve something. You got out of the car and stretched your limbs. You hated sitting still for so long, sometimes you grew restless.
You closed the passenger door and walked towards your boyfriend who had slung a backpack on his back.
“Are you finally going to tell me what we’re doing?” you asked him with a grin spreading across your face.
“Nope,” He smiled right back at you. “It’s a surprise. I’ve never taken anyone here.” He motioned for you to take his hand and follow him. As soon as you did he walked over towards the beginning of a path.
Since the path was too narrow, he let go of your hand and took the lead. You followed him closely, taking in the sounds of mother nature. Besides your footsteps, you heard various birds singing out in communication with other birds. You stopped once you saw a rabbit hopping towards the path.
“Thumper!” You said aloud which scared it away. “Aw dammit. I scared him away,” you pouted. You heard your boyfriend chuckle in front of you.
He turned his head to partially look back at you. “That’s what happens when you’re loud,” he joked.
“Oh hush you!” You swatted his behind. “Now are you going to tell me where we’re going?” you asked for the last time. You two had been walking for a good fifteen minutes or so.
“You’ll see in a few minutes,” he answered not bothering to look back at you.
You crossed your arms in front of you, obviously impatient with what he had planned for you.
Without warning your boyfriend stooped in front of you, making you bump into him.
“What the-” you went to say but stopped once you finally took in your surroundings. He held a curtain of vines and leaves aside to show you a waterfall that was hidden behind it. You stepped forward into the secluded meadow, instantly being engulfed in the beauty of it. Various flowers had blossomed adding bursts of bright colors to the green scenery.
“Wow,” you gasped. “It’s so beautiful here.”
“I knew you’d love it,” he said as he placed his hand on your lower back, ushering you further inside your personal oasis.
You were still speechless and continued looking around, not noticing that he had pulled a blanket from the back pack. He laid it out for the two of you to sit on. Once he called you over, he pulled out a small bag that held a picnic lunch just big enough for the two of you.
You took a sip of water and noticed that he was staring at you. “What?” you questioned.
“Nothing,” he smiled at you.
The two of you enjoyed the lunch he had packed, talking about everything that came to your mind. Soon enough the stress you felt earlier faded away, and you couldn’t have been more thankful. Right in this moment your heart was overly full of love for this man. This man who, no matter what made sure you were happy. You couldn’t have asked for a more amazing boyfriend.
Your head laid in his lap as he leaned back, using his hands and arms to hold himself up. “You like?” he asked.
You shook your head no, making a puzzled look appear on his face. “I love,” you confessed. He smiled down at you and brought his hand to your face, pushing a lock of hair behind your ear.
“Good,” he said. “I’m glad.”
You didn’t know how much time had passed. It was kind of hard to calculate because you had gotten lost in the deep conversations you had, even in the calming silence. It was so peaceful, you never wanted to leave.
“Hey,” Seonghwa said softly. “As much as I’d love to stay here with you,” he smiled at you. “We have to go. It’s going to get dark soon.”
You looked towards the sky and saw that the sun had gone down a bit, not so little that you couldn’t tell. But no so much that you couldn’t find your way back to the path.
“Okay,” you sighed, sitting up.
“Don’t worry we can come back,” he reassured you.
“Good cause I love it here,” you admitted as he leaned to plant a heavy kiss on your lips.
“I knew you would,” he smirked
You helped him pack up the blanket and the leftover food he brought. You looked around once more before he grabbed your hand to lead the way back to his car.
“I really needed this,” you told him as you exited the path. “Thank you so much babe.” You squeezed his hand.
He let go of your hand to wrap his arm lovingly around your shoulder. “Only the best for you.”
“I love you,” you replied to him, bringing his hand to your mouth, you kissed his knuckles.
Once you had reached the car, he unlocked and opened the door for you. He got into the drivers seat after he placed the back pack in the trunk. He drove out of the parking spot, turning on the radio. You giggled ironically because you weren’t expecting to hear your boyfriends voice over the radio. He started to sing both his and Jay’s part in ‘Drive’.
In that moment, you were carefree, driving around with your boyfriend. You always loved listening to his music, it didn’t matter that you had heard this song a hundred times before. Sunglasses covered your eyes, dimming the brightest oranges, yellows, and pinks that signaled that the day was almost over. That it was time to light up the other half of the world. Your arm reached out the rolled - down window. The kind of chilly air that made you feel so alive, slipped through your chipped nail polished fingers. It was as if in that moment, you were untouchable. That very same air flowing through your naturally dark hair that was topped off with a crown of flowers. The kind of flowers that grew in the hidden garden you just left. Your boyfriend reached out to hold your hand. Your burgundy tinted lips formed a genuine smile, making this moment be one that lasts your whole lives.
“Thank you for taking me for a drive,” you told your boyfriend, raising his hand to your lips, kissing his knuckles once more.
“Anything for you,” he squeezed your hand. “I love you.”
“I love you too,” you told him

One Day
Tumblr media
Genre: Fluff w/ angst
Word Count: 4,068
Pairing: Jimin x reader
Passers-by eyed you in the most pathetic way. You had been sitting alone at a table set for two for the past hour and a half. You've been waiting at the restaurant for Jimin. It's not the first time you've been left waiting for him. Oh no, he's done this to you plenty of times before. Called you up and sweet talked you into going on an actual date only to stand you up. In the beginning he would apologize profusely, buying you gifts and flowers. Every time he would also promise that it wouldn't happen ever again. Although you knew it would happen you still accepted his offers, you had been dating him for a little over a year and a half hoping he would change. You had yet to see that change with him.
When you first met Jimin he stole your breath away. He was leaned over a rack of comic books, his dyed blonde hair falling into his eyes. His friend with the boxy smile was next to him and whispered something in his ear, making him look up and over to you. Your cheeks burned a bright crimson, they caught you staring. No sooner than you had been caught you hung your head and kept plucking through the numerous comics to find something to read.
You figured they had gone about their business but you suddenly felt someone to the right of you. "Find anything you like?" a flirtatious voice had said. You look up to see the man you had been staring at talking to you. You went to reply to him but your mouth had gone dry, so you shook your head instead.
"Yeah the selection here is terrible. I'm Jimin by the way. What's your name?" he stuck out his hand to shake yours.
"Y/n," you replied putting your hand in his, which made a swarm of butterflies in your stomach activate.
"Cute." he said after you pulled your hand from his. "I don't want to seem too forward or impolite, but do you have a boyfriend?" your cheeks flushed at his question.
"No I don't." you muttered. His already present smile grew wider. God he's cute.
"Good to know," his friend called him over to him. "How would you like to go out on a date with me? You can say no if you want."
"But we don't even know each other," you said a bit too quickly.
"All the more reason to leave this dusty shop and go on a date." he confidently stated.
"A date? With you? Right now?" you asked with a nervous chuckle. "What about your friend?"
"Ahhh Taehyung can find his way home" he looked over to his friend. "Eventually." that made you giggle. "You've got a cute laugh y/n." you blushed. "So how about it?"
You've got nothing else to lose y/n.
"Sure why not," Jimin beamed at your answer. The rest of the night passed so quickly.
You learned that he was a dancer, and that he attended a performing arts school. That he had a close knit group of friends whom he lived with. In return you told him you were an only child but your best friend Jay was like a brother to you. "He was the only one there for me when my ex cheated on me. And when my mom passed. I only have him now." you spoke fondly of him. Jimin also learned that you liked to read, sing, travel. He smiled as he intently listened to you go on and on about the places you wanted to see, the things you wanted to do.
Once you realized that you were rambling you apologized. "I'm sorry I didn't mean to keep going on," your sentence trailed off.
"Please don't apologize. I like hearing the things people are passionate about." He took your hand in his and squeezed it gently. "It's cute, just like you."
You lowered your head trying to hide the blush his words caused. You felt his strong but soft hand cup your cheek delicately, raising your head back up. Your gaze met his and he leaned in towards you. His thumb lightly grazing your bottom lip.
"I mean it y/n, you're so cute I can't help myself." He closed the short space between the two of you and kissed you.
You swore you saw an explosion of colors behind your closed eyes. His kiss was so gentle but at the same time, you could practically feel the need to have you closer in it. He rested his forehead against yours after his plump lips separated from yours. "Wow." he whispered so quietly you almost didn't hear him.
"Excuse me miss? Is your guest joining you?" the waitress questioned, bringing you back to the present.
You shook the memory from your brain. "No, I'm not going to wait any longer. I'm sorry for taking up your table."
"No need to apologize ma'am." you could hear the pity in her voice, something you hated hearing.
You retrieved your jacket from the coat check and shrugged it on. After the doorman opened the door for you, you turned to your left, walking in the direction of Jay's apartment. You knew exactly what he thought of Jimin and his actions but you didn't want to give up on this relationship. You also didn't want to be alone which is why you went to him.
You raised your hand to knock on his door while simultaneously trying not to burst into tears. A shirtless Jay opened the door, he didn't even say a word as he stepped out of the way to let you in. You immediately went to sit on the couch after kicking off your heels.
"Again y/n?" he asked as he sat next to you letting you lean your head on his shoulder. The tears didn't start until he told you that you deserved better.
"I know but I love him Jay." he handed you the tissue box. "You more than anyone should know that when I love, I love hard. And that I'm not going to give up just because it's not perfect."
He wrapped his arms around you. "But you deserve nothing but the best. How many times do I have to tell you that? I hate seeing you like this because of that asshole."
"But he's-" you started to say but we're interrupted.
"Don't even go and make excuses for him y/n! He's an asshole and you know it." You just nodded your head cause he was right, Jimin is an asshole.
"Is it okay if I stay the night? I don't want to be alone." you sat up straight looking at Jay. You didn't know how you got so lucky to have him in your life.
He looked at you like it was the stupidest question you could have asked. "Why are you even asking? As long as it's my home, it's your home." He leaned in and kissed your temple. "I'm gonna go get you some pajamas to change into." with that he got off the couch and went into his room.
"I really appreciate this Jay," you shouted from the living room.
He came back with a pair of sweats and a shirt. "No need to thank me, you're family and family helps family." he shrugged.
"You're too good to me." You replied and stood up to give him a hug.
"Like I said, you're family." he repeated.
Without saying anything else you went to the bathroom to change into the clothes he gave you. When you returned he was turning off the lights. "I'm going to bed. You coming?"
"Yeah. I'm exhausted." you replied following him to his room. He got under th covers on the left side of the bed and you on the right. Even growing up when you'd spend the night at each others houses that's how it would be.
"I swear if you hog the blankets again y/n it'll be the last time you sleep in here." he said with a yawn escaping.
"Jay, we both know that isn't true cause you say the same thing every time." you turned towards him to see a big smile on his face.
"Yeah yeah. Go to sleep." As if on cue your eyes started to slip close.
"Love you Jay." you whispered.
"Love you too y/n."
For the first time in a while you slept peacefully and through the whole night. When you woke up Jay wasn't in the bed. You found him sitting at the dining room table reading the morning paper.
"You still read the paper?" you asked as you went to get a cup of coffee.
"Yes I do." he said not looking up from the story he was reading.
"Such a grandpa," you teased him.
"Oh shut up." he said finally putting the paper down. "What are you gonna do today?"
After a few sips of coffee you told him you needed to get home and clean cause your place was a mess and do some grocery shopping. "What about you?" you asked.
"Not a whole lot. I have a date tonight, so probably just chill until then." he said getting up to put his cup in the sink.
"I don't think a night with your right hand counts as a date." you laughed and dumped the rest of the coffee out.
"Ha ha ha. You're so funny y/n. Someone I met while doing laundry the other day. I ran out of detergent so she shared hers." he smiled at you.
"Such a beautiful start to a love story," you said mockingly, clutching your chest.
He nudged you. "Shut up you dick." You just laughed and walked towards the bathroom to change back into your clothes from the night before.
Once you were done you went back into the living room. You hadn't even thought of checking your phone last night. You turned on the screen and found out that you had a dozen texts and twice as many calls from Jimin. You just shook your head.
"Every thing okay?" Jay asked concerned.
"Yeah. Just a bunch of calls and texts from Jimin." his face fell. "Yeah I know what you're thinking."
"Just dump-," you cut him off with a piercing gaze. "Just saying." you went over to hug him good bye.
"I know." you said. "I'll see you later. Good luck with your date."
"Good luck with Jimin." Jay retorted.
"Yeah yeah." you opened the door. "Love you."
"Love you too," he automatically replied. You closed the door behind you, and started towards your apartment not quite ready to face Jimin's calls and texts, let alone him.
You weren't exactly surprised to see Jimin sitting on your couch, he had a spare key.
"Where have you been? Why didn't you answer my calls or my texts?" he questioned.
"Funny, I could have asked where you were last night too," you spat back at him. You walked into your room to change and he followed right behind you.
"Where were you last night y/n?" he asked again.
"Well after I was stood up by my boyfriend yet again, I didn't want to be alone. So I went to Jay's last night." you said without feeling guilty.
"Really? Why is it every time something happens you run to him?" you stopped in the middle of putting on your clothes. "No I'm serious!  you always go to him!" Jimin practically shouted.
"He's family. He's the only one I have Jimin." you told him as you turned away to put your dress in the hamper.
"Did you sleep with him?" he asked knowing full well you saw him as a brother and nothing else. "I bet you did. When you don't get your way or when you're upset you probably go over there and spread 'em for him. Don't act like I don't know you by now." he smirked obviously happy with his remark.
"Get out." you said barely containing your anger.
"I'm right huh? You're not as innocent as people think." he said stepping closer, you could feel his breath on his face. It rank of stale beer. "You're nothing but an easy lay." with that last comment you pushed him away from you.
"Get the fuck out!" you pushed him again, tears falling down your face. "Out! I don't want you in my sight. Get out!" you shooed him through doorway.
He didn't have a chance to further hurt you before you slammed the door in his face. You sunk down to the floor letting his words get to you,  you cried harder than you ever had. How could he say those things?
You had no idea how long you sat there crying when your phone rang. It was Jay. You took a minute to wipe the tears away and to clear your throat.
"Hey y/n! So my date just canceled on me. Wanna hang out?" he didn't sound all too bothered that his date canceled.
"Uhhhm sure. I'd like that." you said, your voice was thick with sadness.
"Y/n? What's wrong? What happened?" his concern grew.
"When I got home, he was here and he said some awful things to me," a lone tear slipped from your eyes and you hastily wiped it away.
"That son of a bi- I'm gonna kill him!" he was beyond angry at this point.
"Don't bother Jay. You're too pretty for prison," you tried joking but he wasn't having it.
"I'll be over soon. I'm gonna grab some food okay?" his tone softened. He knew you well enough that comfort food is what you wanted.
"Okay," you whispered into the phone before he hung up.
You picked yourself up off the floor and went to the bathroom to wash of the evidence of your breakdown. You decided to do some cleaning while waiting for Jay to come over. You put the tea kettle on the stove to make some tea. Your head was starting to hurt from all the crying you did and the argument with Jimin. Just as the water started to boil making the tea kettle whistle a knock sounded at the door. You walked over to it looking through the peephole, it was Jay. He had his head down but you could tell it was him by his Seahawks snapback. You opened the door to let him in.
"What took so long pabo?" you asked. Without waiting for a reply you walked back into the kitchen to pour the now hot water over the tea bag in your cup.
"I may or may not have run into someone," the sound of his voice made you spin around to look at him. He was setting the bags of food onto the table. You noticed the knuckles on his right hand were angrily red and swollen.
"Jay." you said. "Please tell me you didn't." he still wasn't looking at you, so you grabbed him by the shoulders and turned him towards you. "Jay! What the fuck happened?!" you gasped as he looked at you. His lip was swollen and he had a bruise forming on his cheek.
"Well what had happened was..." he paused for a second as you sat down at the table. "I fucking decked him," he said as if it was nothing. He unpacked the food he brought.
"What do you mean?! Why?! He could have had you arrested Jay!" your tone had gotten more shrill.
He shrugged. "Nah he couldn't have. Self defense." he said nonchalantly. He placed a container of noodles in front of you. He split the dumplings between the two of you.
"If it was self defense then..." you said. It took you a second to realize what he had just said. "He hit you first?" he nodded. "I'm gonna kill him!" you said starting to stand but Jay stopped you.
"Don't bother. I got a few hits in. It's fine. I'm fine. See?" he said as he stuffed a dumpling into his mouth.
You sat back down still fuming over hearing this. Jay explained what had happened in full. Jimin had showed up at his apartment complex, just waiting outside since he didn't know which one was his. When he saw him, Jimin threw the first punch. Jay said he didn't wait for an explanation and he punched him square in the jaw. He said that he defended himself and he had the right to when you gave him a look.
"He deserved  it y/n. After how he treated you and having hit me first." he said slurping some of the soup. You nodded because it was true.
The two of you ate the rest of the food in silence. Once you were finished Jay's phone rang. You busied yourself with throwing the empty containers into the trash. He wasn't on the phone very long before he hung up.
"You good to just hang out and watch movies or something? Or did you want to go do something?" he asked you.
"Well I really need to go grocery shopping. My fridge is pretty empty. Is that okay?" You replied. "Yeah that's totally fine. I've got to pick up a few things too," he said putting his jacket and hat back on. You slipped on a hoodie and locked the door behind the both of you.
It was a short walk to the corner grocery store. You made small talk with him along the way. Asking him how his music was coming along, how his family was, things like that.
"My music is good. I've actually got the chance to show some of it to a big producer." he said proudly.
"That's amazing!  I'm happy for you!" you said cheerfully.
"It's not that big of a deal," he shrugged as you both entered the store. He grabbed a cart for the groceries.
"It is a big deal." you said examining the shelves for the particular brand of cereal you ate.
"I guess. But I'm not trying to jinx it." he replied throwing in a box of pop tarts.
"Makes sense. But you're amazing. You got this." you told him as you rounded the corner to the coffee and tea aisle.
"Thanks y/n," he replied.
You guys were in the store for a while longer, putting the items you needed in the cart. After checking out and saying thank you to the cashier you guys made your way back to your place.
A familiar form was standing outside the entrance to your apartment. Jimin. He was pacing back and forth holding a bouquet of your favorite flowers. The sight made you freeze where you stood. Once Jay saw what you did he asked if you wanted him to get rid of him.
"No, I need to handle this on my own." you said nervously. You both walked closer to him, once you were in his sight, Jimin's eyes grew wide. The expression on his face was one you hadn't seen before. Was he scared?
"Y/n...I'm-" he began to say.
You turned to Jay and collected your bags from him. "Thank you for coming with me. And for the food. For everything really." you hugged him.
"No problem." he said. He leaned in closer. "If he gives you anymore shit, just tell him to remember what I said okay?" you nodded. "See you later y/n." he turned from you and started walking in the direction of his apartment. You started for your apartment without a single word to Jimin.
"Y/n. Can we talk?" he asked, you could hear the sadness in his voice.
"What's there to talk about Jimin? You went too far this time." You struggled to unlock the door to your apartment. Jimin took the grocery bags from you. "I could have gotten it by myself." you muttered as you unlocked the door.
"No you couldn't have." he said following you inside. He set the groceries down on the counter. He handed you the bouquet of flowers. "I got these for you.  they're your favorite."
You took the flowers from him and put them in a vase. "They're pretty but these do nothing to help you. What is it you wanted to talk about?" you pulled out a chair from the dining room table and sat down. He did the same.
"I wanted to apologize for the way I acted yesterday." he reached for your hands and before he could grab them you pulled away.
"Just for yesterday? Yesterday wasn't the first day you've said horrible things to me." You hung your head. "Hell it wasn't even the first time you've stood me up Jimin. What is an apology going to fix?" you looked back up at him and the tears in your eyes made his figure blurry.
"I know y/n I'm so sorry. Words can't even express how sorry I am. My behavior has been terrible. I am such a horrible boyfriend." You weren't too sure what to make of what he was saying, he could just be talking for the sake of hearing himself talk.
"How do I know you mean what you're saying? How am I supposed to trust you? You hurt me Jimin. You really hurt me." you were trying your best not to cry but the tears started rolling down your cheek.
Jimin sunk down to the floor in front of your chair and laid his head in your lap. "I know I did. There's no excuse for what I did. I've been under so much pressure in school. Dancing is my dream and it feels like I'm failing at making my dreams my reality. My whole world feels like it's crashing down on me. Without you, my world is literally nothing. I need you in my life. I've been acting horrible towards you because I feel like I dont deserve you. But you're all I have left and I'm afraid I'm going to lose you." you felt his tears hit the fabric of your pants. He was afraid of losing you.
"You have an awful way of showing it." you ran your fingers through his freshly dyed black hair trying to sooth him. "Why didn't you come to me and talk to me? Instead you acted like an asshole. You treated me so bad-" you were going to continue the list of ongoing offenses but he cut you off.
He looked up at you. "I know what I did was inexcusable. I don't deserve to be forgiven. But please don't leave me. I don't know what I would do without you y/n. You are my world."
Your hand slipped from his hair to cup his tear stained cheek. "Jimin, there's no way I could leave you. Just because things aren't easy doesn't mean I'm going to give up on them. Including you. I've loved you from the first date. I knew it was crazy to feel that strongly about someone so soon, but I loved you ever since then. And I will continue loving you." Your confession made him smile. "Don't get me wrong you're still not on my good side."
"I know y/n and I will do everything thing I can to get back on your good side. I promise I will never treat you the way I have been. You are my princess and deserve to be treated like one. I love you." he said leaning to place a kiss upon yours.
"Good cause if you don't, I was told to remind you of what Jay said." The look on his face made you laugh. "What did he say?"
You watched him visibly gulp at your question. "He- he said..."
"You know what it doesn't even matter ChimChim. What matters is that we work on this and move forward. Because you are my world too. I would be lost without you." you stood up and helped him to his feet. You wrapped your arms around his waist and buried your face into his neck. "Nothing can shake the feelings I have for you. Nothing." He kissed the side of your head while rubbing your back.
"I love you more. I know things aren't perfect. But we'll get there one day." He hugged you tighter to him.
"One day," you agreed. "One day."

Whispering Wall [1/2]
Tumblr media
Genre: Fluff
Word Count: 3,549
A/N: I previously wrote this for a writing blog I was on, but have removed it since I no longer write for that blog. I decided to repost it on my main kpop blog. It is however still dedicated to my Soul Partner Kim, I wrote this for her, to make her smile. @softkim2
The Whispering wall was a place you frequented to study, even write your papers for school. Being a college student was stressful but somehow this wall made it easy to write. You were always more focused here than anywhere else. Some say this wall was magical, some say it was just a wall full of vandalism.
Other students like you came to confess secrets, let out some stress, write love notes. Every now and then you’d find an actual conversation, replies upon replies. You found it entertaining to read these. Before starting on your astronomy essay, you took out a fine tipped sharpie and wrote on the wall.
“I said something wrong, now I long for yesterday.”
You smiled to yourself. ‘Yesterday’ was your favorite Beatles song. It always brought a smile to your face, unlike your class partner Jung Hoseok. He wasn’t a total pest but he did his fair share of teasing and distracting you in class. For the most part you ignored him. You couldn’t risk getting your grade lowered over his actions.
The sound of someone approaching the wall brought you back to the present. They looked sheepishly at you before pulling out a marker of their own to write something. You looked down at your blank paper, trying to think of what to write.
Why do I love astronomy?
Your fingers hovered over the keyboard of your laptop for the slightest second before quickly moving. You had always loved astronomy; it was one of the things in your life that had a deep meaning. All that the skies had to offer were tranquil, but at the same time they could be quite scary. You loved the unknown and mysterious aspects of the galaxies and stars. You found it truly fascinating. You were on such a roll with this essay before being interrupted.
“I see my favorite classmate is working hard, as usual. You’re such a nerd.” You couldn’t help but roll your eyes. Hoseok sat down on the opposite side of the picnic table.
“Well its better than leaving everything to the last second like you do. At least I manage to show up on time and take notes.”
He laughed. “Like I said, you’re a nerd.”
Peering over your laptop to glaring at him. “I’m not a nerd for taking my studies seriously,” he deadpan looked at you.
“Y/n…”
“Whaaat?” you asked while trying to resume your essay.
“You’re a nerd.” he said once more making you irritated.
“If you’ve got nothing better to do, just leave.” you huffed.
“You’re so cute when you’re angry. But I actually did seek you out for a reason.”he claimed.
You sighed and closed your laptop. It was obvious that you weren’t going to get anything done with him sitting in front of you. “What could Jung Hoseok need from a nerd like me?” you asked putting quotations around the word nerd.
“I need you to take notes for me on Thursday. I won’t be in class." He stuck out his bottom lip and batted his eyelashes at you.
"Don’t try to act all cute. It won’t work. And why aren’t you going to be in class that day?” you quizzically eyed him.
“My best friend Yoongi is coming to town and I haven’t seen him in a year.” he seemed sad. “He’s been traveling for his music.” his eyes finally met yours. For the first time ever, you felt that this was the real Hoseok. Someone who wasn’t always so hyper and annoying.
“I suppose,” you started to say when he squeezed your hand to say thank you. “But you owe me,” you narrowed your eyes at him and took your hand from his. You gathered your laptop and notebook from the table getting ready to leave.
You turned to him one last time “Call me nerd one more time and I’m never doing anything for you ever again.” The sound of his laugh growing smaller and smaller as you walked towards your dorm.
“Thank you!” he shouted after you.
After you reached your dorm, you had managed to finish half of your essay. You stood up and stretched, flexing your fingers feeling relief from having sat in the same position for so long. The tired feeling started to seep into your bones. Well no wonder it’s late you thought to yourself as you checked the time. 11:37 pm. You slipped on a hoodie before taking your toiletries to the shared bathrooms. You brushed your teeth and washed your face before heading back to go to sleep for the night. The image of Hoseok gripping your hand and his smile played in your brain, making you grin as you drifted off to sleep.
The week passed rather quickly. You jotted down notes on Thursday’s class for Hoseok. You had finished the essay for your astronomy class, so you turned it in a few days before the deadline. You could practically hear Hoseok calling you a nerd.
You found yourself once again at the Whispering Wall this time to draw in your sketchbook. You loved taking a blank page and turning it into a piece of art. Making the various colors blend in with each other, creating the most beautiful images. You were always told you should major in art but your true love was what the skies contained.
You sharpened your pencil before letting it touch the surface of the page before you. A thought popped into your head. The Wall! You looked over to the spot you had written on; utterly shocked that someone had answered your quote.
“Yesterday love was such an easy game to play.”
You’ve never smiled that hard before as your heart soared. Someone else loved The Beatles!  Finally someone your age showed the same interest in the same music as you. Finally someone with taste!
You grab a sharpie from the pile on the table when someone pulls out one of your earbuds, making you yelp. You didn’t even have to turn around; Hoseok gave himself away with his obnoxious laugh. “Hoseok I swear to-” you turned around and stopped talking. He had someone who you assumed was his friend, with him.
“Swear to what y/n?” he teased. You didn’t want to be rude in front of this stranger so you didn’t say anything back to him.
“Y/n I’d like you to meet Yoongi. My friend that I told you about.” he stated.
“The one who travels for music?” you asked looking at Yoongi. Taking in his mint colored hair, leather jacket that hung off of his frame, even the sleepy look on his face. He reminded you of your roommate; she rarely showed her emotions and always looked like she was tired.
“Yoongi I’d like you to meet y/n” he looked at his friend who smiled at you.
“Ahhh so this is the girl that yo-” Hoseok elbowed him in the side to shut him up. “I mean nice to meet you,” he shook your hand and smirked.
“Likewise Yoongi,” he smiled and tucked his hand into his pocket. “So what’re you guys up to?” you asked as you settled onto the picnic bench.
“Not much just showing him around. Probably dragging him to a party.” he replied.
“Ahhh well I hope you guys have fun.” you told them. And you meant it.
“Woah! You’re actually being nice to me?!” Hoseok exclaimed as he clutched his chest, stumbling back into Yoongi.
You groaned. “Do you always have to ruin my mood?”
“Who? Me?” he asked. “You wound me y/n.” he wiped a fake tear from the corner of his eye. You rolled your eyes at him, making Yoongi laugh at the exchange between you two.
“It was nice meeting you Yoongi.” you plugged your ear buds in and motioned for Hoseok to scram. Yoongi nodded at you before they turned to walk away. You smiled to yourself. He knew how to get under your skin. You absolutely hated it but only acted this way with him.
Your attention returned to your sketchbook. You let the music take you away. After a while a familiar face with gorgeous eyes and a set of full lips developed on the page. You hadn’t realized you were drawing Hoseok. Was it possible you were crushing on him? No. No way. You slammed your sketchbook closed trying to shake the feelings. You returned your supplies to your backpack, all except for one sharpie.
“Now I need a place to hide away. Oh, I believe in yesterday.” you wrote in your signature loopy handwriting.
The person who replied had fairly sloppy but readable handwriting. It had to belong to a guy. You contemplated who this other person could be. There were so many students on campus, the possibilities were endless. Sighing to yourself you decided to go back to your room.
You were surprised to see you roommate awake. “Wow you’re actually awake?”you didn’t mean for it to sound so sarcastic.
“I know I’m surprised myself. I got invited to a party. Wanna go? I know it’s not either of our scenes but I don’t want to go alone.” you were honestly shocked.
“But you never want to go out.” You stated.
"Yeah tell me about it. But I feel like free booze tonight.” she shrugged as you laughed. “I’m leaving in a half hour if you wanna go.”
“Well it wouldn’t hurt…” you say more to yourself than to her.
She mumbled a ‘cool’ before slipping out of the room to head down the hall for the bathroom. You looked through her wardrobe after deciding that your clothes were too boring.
By the time your roommate returned you still hadn’t decided what to wear. “Move, I got this.” she nudged you out of the way to rummage through her clothes. Meanwhile you quickly applied light make up. “Here,” she shoved a pair of high waisted denim shorts, a plain white tank top, and a flannel shirt into your arms. “It’s not a formal event. Plus it usually gets really hot at these things with all the bodies packed into a tiny space.” You quickly dressed pairing the outfit with a pair of black converse. Your roommate opted for a pair of black ripped skinny jeans and a t shirt with some obscure band on the front.
“Ready?” She asked after she laced up her boots.
“As I’ll ever be.” you replied.
You walked arm in arm with your roommate to the frat house. The faint sounds of music grew louder and louder with each step you took towards the party. Excitement coursed through your body. Even your roommate seemed excited to be there, it was such a change for her usual attitude. You liked it.
Upon approaching the front steps she dropped your arm only to grab your hand, pulling you through the entryway and through the lingering people by the door. Once inside you assessed your surroundings.
“Let’s get a drink!” your roommate shouted over the music and you gave her a thumb up. You followed her into the kitchen, only to find Hoseok and Yoongi leaning against the counters.
“Y/n? What’re you doing here?” Hoseok questioned as his eyes looked you up and down.
“My roommate invited me.” you answered as she handed you a plastic cup filled with foul smelling liquid.
“Cheers” she said as she touched her cup to yours. She downed it before you even brought it up to your lips.
“My kind of woman,” Yoongi spoke with a smirk on his face. You laughed to yourself knowing he would like her.
The four of you chatted in the kitchen for a little while before someone from your English class pulled Hoseok away. “Namjoon needs to speak to me. You good Yoongi?” he asked.
Yoongi eyed your roommate up and down while licking his lips. “Yeah I’m good Jhope.”  Jhope?
You stood there and watched them shamelessly flirt in between sips of alcohol. You refilled your cup with a mixed drink and wandered off. It wasn’t long before you found a familiar face surrounded by a small group of people.
“Y/n! Come sit with me!” Seokjin exclaimed. He patted the only other empty spot on the couch. You’ve known him since your freshman year at the University.
“Hey Jin!” you said as you sat down next to him. “How are you? It’s been a while since we’ve talked.”
“I’ve been good. I made the Dean’s list this year.” he beamed with pride.
“Congratulations! I’m happy for you!” you told him nudging his shoulder. “You were always the smartest one in class. With the lamest jokes!” you giggled feeling the alcohol working.
“What do you mean? My jokes are legendary! ” Jin scoffed at you while simultaneously putting his arm around your shoulders.
“I didn’t know dad jokes were funny” you retorted.
“What do you call bears with no ears?” he asked trying to hold his laughter.
You groaned at the opening of the joke. “I dunno, what?” you asked as you took a sip of your beer.
“B!” he answered laughing. It was his windshield wiping laugh that made you cackle. Not the joke.
“That was,” you paused as he looked at you. “So, so stupid!” you laughed as you swatted his knee. “I’ve got a better one.”
Jin cocked and eyebrow at you. “I don’t think so y/n, I am the king of jokes!” the people surrounding you guys laughed along with him.
“Did you hear about the restaurant on the moon?” you replied knowing he was going to find it hilarious. He shook his head and took a sip from the dark glass bottle he held. “Great food! No atmosphere!” He spat his drink out, nearly choking on it. “Oh gosh are you okay?!” you pat his back as he recovered from the coughing fit. His face was tomato red when he looked at you.
“That was a good one!” he said once he calmed down.
This game of telling jokes went on for a good hour or so when you hear Hoseok call out for you.“Y/n?” you looked up to see him looking at Jin’s arm which was still around you. “Have you seen Yoongi?”
You got up and said your goodbyes to Jin and promised to hang out again soon.
“Last I saw him; he was in the kitchen with y/rm/n. They were getting pretty cozy with each other.” he laughed. “Why is that funny?” you asked as you led him to the kitchen.
“I’ve never seen him this way. Normally he’s closed off to people” now it was your turn to laugh.
“Funny cause so is she.” you snorted. As soon as you turned the corner you both made sounds of disgust. They were all hands and lips.
“Ew guys get a room,” Hoseok spat. The two broke apart with big grins on their faces.
“You interrupted. For what?” Yoongi glared at the two of you.
“Food? I’m starving. Let’s go.” he said not caring that he was interrupting them.
Yoongi leaned back into y/rm/n and whispered something into her ear which made her scoff. “Yeah right D boy.” she replied and he smirked. “Are you ladies going to join us?” Yoongi asked.
On cue your stomach growled. “Whelp I guess that answers for me.” you said patting your stomach. You turned to Hoseok. “Where to Jhope?” both you and Yoongi snickered at that name.
“Watch it y/n” he warned, but the look on his face conveyed that he didn’t care. “Only my Soul Partner can call me that,” he said and gave Yoongi a fist bump. “How about the diner right outside of campus?”
“Food is food,” both y/rm/n and Yoongi said at once, they burst out in laughter.
“Well that’s creepy,” the sound of Hoseok’s voice saying the same thing as you made your eyes go wide. “Can we stop with all this weird shit and go?” he said amused.
The four of you left the party and went to go refuel and sober up. Two am quickly approached as you guys left the diner feeling full. You were surprised that you actually had so much in common with Hoseok. Yoongi told stories from their younger days. He wasn’t as bad as you thought, it just so happened that his hyper personality got in the way of getting to know the real him. He was actually a pretty sweet guy.
You and Hoseok walked together talking while the other two fell behind laughing and goofing around. “Is anything going on between you and that one guy from the party?” he questioned you.
“You mean Seokjin?” he nodded his head. “No. We’ve been friends since freshman year. That’s it.” you glanced at his profile. “Why do you ask?”
He shrugged. “Just wondering.” You noticed a smile form on his lips. You never noticed that he had dimples; dimples that you wanted to reach out and touch. “So, Yoongi leaves in a few days. Would you mind taking notes for me again?” you were approaching the university.
“Sure. But you still -” you went to say but never got to finish.
“Yeah I know I still owe you from last time. Maybe you can let me take you out on a date?” he made it sound more like a question than a statement. “I mean that’s only if you want.” he playfully tugged on the sleeve of the borrowed flannel shirt. His hand met with yours, fingers slowly intertwining with yours. The warmth of his hand sent shivers down your spine.
“A date? With Jung Hoseok? Gee I wonder why I would want to partake in that.”you felt him squeeze your hand. “But I guess. I mean you do owe me.”
“That I do,” he flashed a brighter than sunshine smile at you.
Without realizing where your feet were taking you, you both ended up at the Whispering Wall. You pulled him over to the spot you checked almost daily. “What are we doing here?” he asked as you let go of his hand.
“I wanted to see if anyone replied to what I wrote,” not bothering to look at him as you answered. “Apparently not.” you sighed. You turned around to see him eyeing you skeptically. “You see, I wrote a line from my favorite Beatles song on here. I wasn’t expecting anyone to answer, but someone did.” he nodded, urging you to go on. “They replied with the next lines. I did the same, I was hoping they would have replied by now but they haven’t.” you frowned.
“I’m sure they will soon y/n.” he said as he shoved his hands into the pockets of his jeans and looked towards the ground. Why is he suddenly being shy?
You opened your mouth to say something but someone beat you to it. “JHOOOOOOOOOOPE!” Yoongi startled you both. It had slipped your mind that you weren’t alone. In the lights of the lamps that dimly lit the area, you could see the hickeys that y/rm/n and Yoongi had given each other while you and Hoseok were alone.
“What do you want Yoongs?” he groaned at the loudness of his friend.
“Thank you for introducing me to her. She’s fucking amazing man.” you all laughed at his outburst. “I’m telling you she’s my soul mate. Your my soul partner but she’s my soul mate.” Yoongi claimed as he snaked an arm around y/rm/n’s waist.
You looked at each other rolling your eyes as the two of them started making out again. “I’ll walk you to your dorm room,” he offered. You took his hand in yours and led the way.
He walked you right up to your door. “Hey that reminds me, what’s your number?” you eyed him. “I mean how am I supposed to take you on a date if I don’t have your number?” he smirked.
“Valid.” You told him your number as the other two caught up with you guys.
“So I’ll see you in class on Tuesday?” he said and surprised you by giving you a hug.
“See you Tuesday Hoseok.” A squeal from y/rm/n broke you two apart. Yoongi smacked her ass. “Those two I swear,” you shook your head.
“Good night Agust Dick” she said and walked into the shared room.
“Good night Y/n,” Hoseok spoke, barely above a whisper moving closer. He kissed your cheek softly, making heat rise to that very spot.
“Good night Jhoooope,” which earned you a laugh from him. “It was nice meeting you Yoongi, ” you waved to him and he nodded in response.
You closed the door and leaned against it. Your roommate had already undressed and was mostly asleep. “See it doesn’t hurt to go out and have fun.” she said before letting out a big yawn.
“No, no it doesn’t.” you said as you got into your pajamas. Your phone buzzed as you slid beneath the blankets of your bed. It was a text from an unknown number.
“Why she had to go, I don’t know, she wouldn’t say. I said something wrong, now I long for yesterday.” You’re not the only one with good taste in music you nerd ;)
It was Hoseok this whole time. You smiled to yourself in the dark before you drifted off to sleep.

Nothing Else Matter part 7
Warning: mentions drinking
Word count: 4,634
Genre: fluff and a bit of angst
Pairing: Yoongi x reader
You felt the sting of missing your boyfriend, not just him but the six others as well. They only left a few days ago for their promotional tour, it was going to be the longest month of your life.
“How pathetic can I be?” you asked yourself while rummaging through the fridge for something to eat. “Not even gone for a few days and I already miss him.” You shook your head at the thought.
After settling on some leftover Chinese takeaway, you plopped down on the couch and returned to scrolling through the internet for a job that could cover all of your expenses. You immediately rejected Yoongi’s offer to pay for your rent until you managed to find a job.
“No. Absolutely not.” You stated. “I won’t accept it. I can’t accept it.”
“Just let me help you jagi!” He raised his voice at you for the first time since you met him.
“No.” You continued folding the clothes he was taking on his tour into his suitcase.
“Too late,” he mumbled quietly with his focus immersed in this dresser drawers.
“Excuse me?” You dropped the pair of pants into your lap and looked at him. “What did you say?”
The beautiful man with freshly bleached hair stood fully upright and looked at you. “I said. It’s. Too. Late.” He enunciated the three words that had you fuming.
“Min Yoongi, what did you do?!” You picked up his pants and threw them at him. Although the pants wouldn’t hurt him he moved out of the way and you ended up knocking over a few items on his dresser.
“Look you can be mad at me all you want, but I will not sit by and let you go without a roof over your head.” He looked at your form on his bed, your arms hugged your legs which were bent at the knees. Gaze locked in on your hands clasped together. “I would say just move in with me but...” He did’t finish his sentence cause you immediately raised your head and choked on your own saliva.
“Ummmm what? Uhhhhhh...” You sputtered.
“I knew that would have gotten you to look at me,” he chuckled.
He came over to where you were sitting on his bed, you scooted over to make room for him. Even though you were extremely upset with him, you laid your head on his shoulder and he wrapped an arm around you.
“I know it’s too soon for that. I’m not even sure if the company would let me move you in.” He shrugged moving your head along with him. “I just know I don’t want you out there with no place to go.” He placed his chin on top of your head.
“I know and I really appreciate that, but that’s my problem to worry about, not yours.” You sighed knowing you weren’t going to get through to him.
“I’m always going to worry when it comes to you.” He pressed his lips to your soft hair. You loved when he was soft and caring like this.
“I can take care of myself you know. I have been since I was sixteen.” You told him, playing with the fabric of his shirt.
“I know but you you’ve got to let someone love and take care of you like you deserve. I want to be that person. I love you y/n.” His voice held sadness and you weren’t sure why. “I’ve never knew what a healthy love was, but being with you, even if you’re mad at me feels,” he tried finding the right words. “It feels right. I’ve never had feelings for someone so strongly before.”
His confession made your heart soar. You knew he loved you but he’s never gotten the slightest bit deep when he talked with you. You sat up and took his handsome face between your palms and brought his lip to yours. You rested your forehead against his and closed your eyes.
“I love you too. I was so used to being on my own and doing everything for myself. It’s hard for me to accept help but I’m working on it.” You kissed him once more. “Just discuss things like this with me beforehand okay?” He nodded and pulled you atop his lap.
His hands made their way to the hem of your shirt, he gave you a “Is this okay?” look before pulling it over your head. He knew how to take care of you in more ways than just the one.
A loud knock at your door took you away from your thoughts. You darted towards the door and looked through the peephole.
“Jey?” You unlocked the door and pulled it open. “What are you doing here?”
“I knew you’d be a bit down with your man being gone and not being able to find a job yet so I came over.” She declared while wiggling a bottle of vodka in the air. “You know you can’t resist.” She smirked, knowing she was right. You loved and hated that about her. Almost everything she said was right, even if you didn’t want them to be.
When it came to Jey, she was that friend who was unalike anyone you ever knew or came across. She could persuade you to do just about anything, from having a few more shots than necessary, to doing something drastic with your hair. Even when you were unsure of her intentions, she never lead you wrong. You were grateful to have her in your life, it would be unbelievably boring otherwise.
“Well when you put it like that -,” you stepped aside to let her into your apartment.
“Told you,” she snickered. “Plus you need to come out of your sad as fuck shell.” You just looked at her practically dancing around your kitchen. She was grabbing shot glasses for the two of you and cups to pour the chasers into. “Stop moping around. He’ll be back soon enough.” She said as she filled the glasses to the brim.
“It’s not just that Jey,” you huffed knowing it was going to be a long ass night. Her hyper attitude never faltered until well into the break of dawn. You didn’t know how she managed to live like that. “I still haven’t been able to find a job. Literally no one had called me back. The only person who has is someone I don’t want to work for.” She stood on one side of the kitchen island and you were on the other. She slid you glasses to you and raised her shot of vodka up. You did the same and silently toasted to the friendship you shared. It stung your throat but it wasn’t unpleasant.
“Whoo!” She loudly exclaimed. “That’s delicious.” She poured another for you. “Who is it?” She asked.
“Lucky.” You grumbled with disgust.
“Who’s that?” she questioned.
“He’s the owner of this club I worked at.” You downed another shot along with her. You never talked to her about you former employment, now you had to since she stared at you awaiting for more information. “I was a stripper at his club. He favored me above anyone else and made my skin crawl with all of the looks he gave me.”
“Hold up!” She raised her eyebrow, the confused and slightly angry look that was plastered on her face told you she was about to fight someone. “He never touched you or did anything inappropriate did he?”
You downed another shot before answering her. “No, but that doesn’t mean that he didn’t creep me out any less.” You sighed. “I don’t know how to explain it. His eyes always held this ‘I can’t wait to get my hands on you’ look in his beady eyes. When I found out that Sydney had room for me to be full time rather than part time, I was out of that club so fast.”
“You know who should come over?” Jey asked and almost immediately answered her own question. “Kim.” You shot her an incredulous look. “Now before you say no, you know she’s the queen of making level-headed decisions.”
“True,” you didn’t even have a chance to say yes, Jey already had her on the phone.
“Momma Kim! We need you.” Jey spoke into the phone. She carried on a quick conversation before hanging up. Meanwhile, you were the one who poured your fourth shot of the night. “She’s on her way over.”
Not more than twenty minutes and two shots later, Kim showed up at your door with another bottle in her hand.
“Never fear, I am here!” Kim laughed.
“With more liquor! Yes!” Jey jumped for joy.
Kim had pulled a stool up to the island and sat on the same side as you, while Jey played bartender and busied herself with pouring drinks.
“So what’s the emergency?” Kim asked. You hesitated for a moment. “You know I wont judge you,” she encouraged you to speak up.
With a sigh, the words began to flow from your lips. You told her everything, from missing Yoongi, the little spat you two had, to still not having found a job, the offer from greasy Lucky. Kim sat there and listened intently. The three of you having had a few more shots of vodka coursing through your bodies. You began to feel more at ease with talking things out, drinking always did that to you.
“Well,” Kim began. “Have you exhausted every option for jobs?” She asked.
“Just about. I mean I looked into all the jobs I could, even ones that I’d have to relocate for. And you know that’s the last thing I want to do,” you sighed.
“Hmm. Have you talked to Yoongi about this?” Kim prodded.
“I mean we kinda got into it when he paid my rent cause I still hadn’t found a job. He knew about me and the club, he wasn’t that bothered by it.” You replied.
“But would he be if you returned to that job?” she asked and you shrugged. “If it’s honestly the last option you have, go for it.”
“I have an idea!” Jey nearly shouted breaking the few seconds of silence that hung in the air.
“What?” You asked her.
“Since I decided to go back to school, I have some free time on my hands.” She looked at the two of you hoping that the both of you would connect the dots but at this point you were becoming a bit sluggish. “I can be your personal bodyguard and work there with you.”
“No, you can’t do that. You’ve got school to worry about.” You protested.
“It’s all online and it’s only a few classes. I can manage.” You knew very well she could but you didn’t want to subject Jey to having to work there. You also knew she could more than handle herself.
“Are you sure you want to do that Jey?” Kim asked. You both knew she wouldn’t have a problem with doing so.
“Of course. I’m not going to let her do this on her own. I’m not going to let her be alone in the presence of that skeevy bastard.” She retorted. It was in her quirky nature to be protective of those she cared for.
“So it’s settled?” Kim questioned, looking back and forth between her two friends. “But you’ll leave if it starts getting out of hand right?”
“Of course,” you answered her. You almost wanted to call this whole thing off and keep looking for other jobs, to let Yoongi keep paying for your rent until the, but your heart told you no. You couldn’t let him do that.
Jey poured a shot and the three of you raised your glasses in the air before letting the alcohol pass through your lips. Even though you had managed to figure out the situation with your employment, your heart wasn’t any lighter. If anything, it was heavier. You hated the idea of having to go back to the club and even worse; you hated to think about what your boyfriend would have to say when he found out.
You picked up your phone off of the counter; it felt heavy in your hands. You opened the message you meant to delete but never did.
[Y/n]: Okay. I’ll come back on one condition, you give my friend Jey a job too.
Kim and Jey carried on drinking and holding a conversation while you messaged Lucky. You looked at your two best friends and were glad you had them in your life. You wouldn’t know what you would do without them. They were your pillars of strength and wisdom. A ding sounded from your overturned phone, you had a text.
[Lucky]: Deal. Stop by on Friday so I can assess your friend and so you can get re-situated with the club. Some things have changed since you were last here.
You were about to reply when another message from him came through.
[Lucky]: You wont regret this Y/n ;)
A cold chill swept through your body at his last message. You had a bad feeling about this, but you desperately needed the job. Your friends shook you from your thoughts with another drink prepared for you.
“Bottoms up!” Jey said, bringing her glass to her lips.
The rest of the night was a blur as the three of you emptied both bottles. You passed out in your bed, inhaling the lingering scent of your boyfriend’s cologne on his hoodie. It brought you more comfort than the liquor did.
You woke up, head slightly aching from the hangover you were going to be nursing all day. Rolling over to the right, you found Kim and Jey still soundly asleep. Without wanting to wake them, you slowly rose from the bed and got a change of clothes for the shower you were about to take.
You had a set routine for when you were hungover, first you took a steamy shower, made coffee and a simple breakfast that always included bacon. Ever since you found out bacon soaked up the liquor, you always ate it the morning after a night of drinking. Hoping that everything stayed and down and wasn’t rejected from the pit of your stomach, you then would consume all the water you could while lounging on the couch and alternating between watching movies and napping.
The steam of the hot shower started to fog up the mirror and wrapped you in its comforting embrace. You scrubbed the entire span of your body trying to rid it of all the toxins. Sadly it couldn’t rid you of all of the thoughts that ran through your mind.
What was Yoongi going to say? Was he going to be okay with this decision? Was he going to be angry? Was everything going to work out with Jey being there at the club as well? Was Lucky going to be the same disgusting guy you knew he was? Was -
“Y/n?” a groggy Kim called out.
You pulled the shower curtain aside to shout that you’d be out in a minute.
“Okay,” she replied.
You twisted the handle and shut off the water. Stepping out of the warmth of the shower, the cold tile beneath your feet sent a jolt to your senses. You were wide awake now. You hastily towel dried your hair and combed out the tangles before dressing and exiting the bathroom.
You found Kim near the front door shrugging on her jacket and lacing up her shoes.
“You leaving? I was about to make some breakfast,” you explained.
“Yeah I’ve got to go. My mom asked me to help out at the shop.” She grumbled. “Just what I wanted to do while hungover, help sell bouquets of flowers.” She pulled you in for a hug. “Don’t forget, no matter what I’m always here for you, whatever you decide to do.”
“I know you are, I’m so grateful for that.” you squeezed her hand before letting her walk into the bright daylight.
The smell of bacon being cooked in a pan made you feel a bit queasy but definitely had the opposite effect on Jey.
“Bacon?” she asked while rubbing the sleep from her eyes.
“Yeah, it’s supposed to help with hangovers.” you told her, looking over your shoulder.
“You have a hangover?” she asked and laughed.
“Yah! It’s not funny,” you whined.
“I never get hangovers.” she boasted.
“Lucky me then, I get the bacon all to myself.” you joked as you placed a few strips on a plate for her, alongside the eggs and toast.
“Rude,” she jokingly stated.
“There’s some coffee too if you want some.” you offered her. She hopped off of her stool to grab a cup from the cupboard and poured herself some.
After turning off the stove, you both moved into the living room with your breakfast and settled down in front of the tv. Turning it on proved to be senseless since she wanted to talk to you about your decision.
“You’re absolutely sure you want to do this?” she prodded.
“Do I want to? No. But I really need this job. I can’t keep letting him pay for my way through life. Paying for dinners and such is okay but I put a stop to him paying my rent. I don’t want to be that type of person who let’s their boyfriend pay for everything,” you explained to her in between bites of food.
Jey thought over your words while stabbing at the fluffy pile of scrambled eggs on her plate. “That doesn’t mean that you’re a burden to him.”
“That’s not the-,” you started but were silenced by the look she gave you.
“Let me finish,” she said before taking a sip of her coffee. “The way I see it, he just wants to help you out. He doesn’t want you to stress over something that is no doubt temporary. He loves you, y/n, he’s just trying to make sure you’re not having trouble getting by. It doesn’t hurt to let someone help you for once.”
“I know it wont,” you sighed. “I’ve just been so used to being on my own and having to do everything by myself.”
“You’ve got a family now. You’ve got Kim and I. You’ve got your boyfriend. The boys. Stop being so stubborn,” she nudged you.
“I know, I’m working on that.” you replied.
Jey left not too long after helping you clean up the kitchen, she agreed to pick you up on Friday before heading over to the club.
You grabbed the throw off of the back of the couch and wrapped yourself up in it and settled back onto the couch. You were watching some movie but not really following the plot, you were just too tired to care. That didn’t even matter because before you knew it sleep had you in it’s powerful clutches.
When you woke, it was mid evening, the sky has started to dim with the promise of the day ending soon. You sat there and flipped through the channels and was surprised to find that Almost Famous was playing. You smiled at the memory of watching it with Yoongi. He had said that it was a really good movie and glad you introduced him to it.
A knock at your door tore you away from the screen. No sooner than you opened the door a confused look washed over your face.
“A delivery for,” the pizza man looked at the receipt. “Y/n?”
“But I didn’t order anything.” You crossed your arms over your chest. “There must be some mistake.”
“This is apartment 1429 right? You’re Y/n?” he asked while pulling the pizza from the bag that kept it warm.
“Yes, but-,” you began.
“Then it’s no mistake.” He could tell you were about to argue your point but he stopped you. “It’s all paid for. I just make the deliveries.” With that he handed you the pizza and turned to leave.
Utterly confused, you thought of who could have ordered a pizza and had it sent to your apartment. Shrugging off the confusion, you set the warm box on the table and opened it. Gasping at the heart shaped pizza you knew who it was. Yoongi. You two had talked about it before, how cheesy it was that couples did this. Shaking your head at that conversation, you sent him a text thanking him. You were about to set your phone down when it rang. Yoongi was calling.
“Too cheesy?” his muffled voice came through the speaker.
“Oh yeah, way too cheesy you dork,” you said putting a slice on a plate.
“And here I though I was being cute,” he fake cried.
“You didn’t have to you know,” you spoke.
“I know but I though it would be funny, plus Taehyung said that you were hungover so,” he trailed off.
“Wait,” you sat straight up. “How would Tae know?” you asked.
“He was on the phone with your friend Jey earlier and he told me,” he stated.
“I didn’t know that they were talking,” you confessed, taking a bite of the pizza.
“I guess they have been since we helped you guys empty the studio,” he said, not knowing that it was something out of the ordinary for her to keep something like this from you.
“Huh,” you hummed.
You two talked  for a few minutes before he had to go.
“I miss you,” he confessed.
“You do?” you asked stunned.
“Of course, why wouldn’t I?” he scoffed.
“I don’t know, I just never thought I’d hear that from you,” you confessed.
“Well I do,” his voice dropped to a whisper.
“Yoongi?” you said.
“Hmm?” he acknowledged.
“I miss you too,” you told him and you could practically feel his smile.
“It’s only a few more weeks y/n, then you’ll have me all to yourself,” he said and your heart felt lighter.
“I know,” you replied. “I can’t wait.”
“Me either,” he told you. “Listen they’re calling for me, I’ve got to go. I’ll call again as soon as I can okay?”
“Okay,” you told him. “Love you,” you could hear a sharp intake of air from the other end of the phone.
“I love hearing that come from you. I love you too jagi,” he said and it made your stomach flip with butterflies. “I’ll call as soon as I can, I promise.” With that, the line went dead.
You smiled to yourself and dug into the pizza and continued watching the movie.
A funny feeling had begun to settle in your stomach with each passing day. You were nervous for Friday, although this time around, you didn’t have to worry as much because Jey was going to be right there with you.
On Friday morning when you woke up, you laid out the dress you were going to wear and picked out a pair of heels to match before taking a shower. You had hoped that the shower would calm your nerves a bit but no such luck. Blow-drying your hair into it’s natural state, a knock sounded at your door. You tied the sash to your robe so that it showed no skin. Looking through the peep hole, you once again found Jey in your eyesight so you opened the door.
“Wow, you look -” you were speechless. You always found her beautiful but she was absolutely stunning when she was dressed up.
“Is this too much?” she asked smoothing her hands down the outfit she wore. It was a burgundy colored form-fitting dress. She had wore knee-high black boots and a leather jacket over it. “I was hoping it screamed classy yet ‘shes trouble’. What do you think?”
“I think you’ll fit right in,” you told her and closed the door behind her.
She followed you back to your room where you resumed getting ready. You went to apply light make-up in your bathroom mirror when you heard her call out to you.
“Is this what you’re wearing?” she asked.
“Yeah why?” you asked peeking your head out out of the bathroom to see her eyeing your choice of outfit.
“It seems a bit frumpy for where we’re going.” she retorted.
“I’m not trying to attract any more attention than necessary,” you said as you applied some mascara. You heard the familiar sound of hangers being pushed and pulled against the bar they hung on.
“This!” You heard Jey exclaim. You exited the bathroom to see her picking a hanger from the closet. On it was a navy colored sweater dress that you had bought but never worn. “I think this would look much better on you.” She said and shoved it in your arms.
You had learned early on in your friendship, that there was no point in arguing with her. After finding lingerie that matched, you went into the bathroom and closed the door to change. The dress sheathed the curves of your body, stopping a bit below the middle of your thighs. You smiled at your image in the mirror, she was right, it did look better.
You walked back into the room to find that she had also switched your heels for a pair of boots almost identical to the ones she wore.
“I knew it!” she whooped.
“Yeah yeah,” you grumbled. You slid the boots over your calves and found the black colored pea coat that went with almost every outfit you had.
“You look amazing!” she whistled in appreciation.
“Oh shut up,” you laughed.
“Ready to go?” she asked picking up her car keys and twirled them in her hand.
“As ready as I’ll ever be.” you said trying to kill any anxious thoughts.
You remained silent during the car ride, save for the directions you gave her. Slight music came forth the radio and did little to nothing to soothe your nerves. You got lost in your thoughts and before you knew it, the car had slowed and turned into a parking spot.
The brick building still looked the same. Lucky’s Girls shined brightly in neon lights. You unbuckled your seat belt and removed yourself from the passenger seat of the car. Jey pushed the lock button on her door before slamming it shut. You followed her. You looked over at her and she had her head held high and you were determined to do the same.
The music that came from withing grew louder as you both approached the door. Once inside your eyes overlooked at the place you once worked at. You saw a few changes in the decor, but mostly everything had stayed the same.
“Can I help you ladies?” the security guard had asked with a slight smirk as his eyes raked over Jey’s body.
You looked at Jey and caught her winking at him. This girl...
“Yes, we’re here to see Lucky,” you answered him.
The security guard didn’t even need to give Lucky a call because he was making his way over to the three of you. His looked the both of you up and down, his gaze lingering on you for a second too long.
“You must be the friend,” he said shaking Jey’s hand.
“That’s me, Jey,” she said introducing herself.
“Y/n, always a pleasure,” he reached out to grasp your hand in his. He raised your hand to his lips and made a shiver of disgust run down your spine.
“Lucky,” you said trying to sound cordial and not at all like you wanted nothing more that to go home and scrub layer upon layer of skin off for just having been in contact with him.
“I knew you’d be back,” he said with a wink that made you feel like absolute filth.

Nothing Else Matters pt 4
Warning: It got a tiny bit smutty....but not much :P
Genre: Fluff with a bit of angst
Word Count: 2,881
Pairing: Yoongi x Reader
Yoongi left no patch of your silky soft skin untouched. Taking his time to appreciate your body, he kissed and nipped while praising you.
"You," he murmured into your neck before kissing it. "Are," he smiled against the skin at your collarbone before nipping at it with his teeth. "So," his voice becoming strained as he cupped your heat with his left hand, making you moan. "Fucking," pausing to flick the tip of his tongue over your hardened nipple, causing you to grasp a handful of his midnight colored hair. "Beautiful. So beautiful," he made his way to the other side of your chest, placing an open-mouthed kiss on your sensitive bud. He made sure not to neglect any part of you.
"Yooooongi," you moaned out. The way your body responded so quickly to his gestures surprised the both of you.
You opened your eyes to see him staring back at you, his gaze heavy with lust. He opened his mouth to speak, but the only sound that came forth was the shrill tone of your alarm clock.
Groaning, you slowly sat up from your sleeping position, trying not to freak out. The sweat that gathered on your skin made your hair and pajamas cling to you. You had a sex dream about Yoongi.
It had been a few weeks since that night you guys had kissed. He stayed the night only to wrap you in his arms and lull you to sleep with his steady breathing. That was the first time you've slept all the way through the night in a long time. You couldn't even remember a time you felt so relaxed and well rested.
Your phone chirped, bringing you back to the present. You unlocked it to see it was a text from Taehyung.
"Noona! Want to go to the arcade with me and 🐰 ?" You laughed at his usage of the bunny emoji.
It was always a fun time hanging out with him and Jungkook. Never a dull moment that's for sure. You replied explaining you had work today but maybe afterwards you guys could meet up and do something. He quickly replied with a selca of him and Kookie feigning sadness. You didn't even bother replying because this could go on for ages but you had to get ready for work. Knowing you were going to end up sweating from the dance lesson you were teaching but you took a shower anyways. After that dream you needed to rid yourself of the sweat and thoughts that remained.
You threw on a pair of leggings and a tank top, paired with a sweatshirt over it before heading towards the door. You opened it only to be faced with a hand that was about to knock on the door. That hand was attached to the very one that cupped your face a few weeks ago.
"Yoongi? What're you doing here?" He smiled at your surprised reaction.
"I haven't seen you in a few days, and I thought you'd enjoy this," he removed his right hand from behind his back and produced a cup of coffee. He was sweeter towards you than anyone else.
"You didn't have to, you know that right?" you questioned before bringing the cup up to your mouth, inhaling the strong aroma. Closing your eyes in appreciation of the delicious drink after taking a sip.
"That good huh?" you reopened your eyes to see him smiling at you. "Well I do make great coffee if I do say so myself." scoffing at his cocky side showing.
"Min Yoongi, are you searching for a compliment? Cause I'm not gonna give you one," sticking your tongue out at him before you closed and locked your door behind you.
"Rude." he said, with no trace of being bothered by your statement. "So what are you doing?" he asked.
"I'm on my way to teach a bunch of kids how to dance." You two walked side by side until you reached your car. You set your coffee on the roof of your car in order to fish your keys out of your bag. "Why what's up?"
"Oh nothing. I was just wondering what you were up to today since I've got the day off..." he said letting the rest of the sentence die off, making you look at him.
"I have a great idea!" you said enthusiastically.
"Whaaaat? And why do I feel like I'm gonna regret surprising you this morning?" he pouted.
"How about you come to work with me. It's only for a couple of hours. I'm sure the kiddos will love to meet the King of Swag!" You nearly doubled over from laughter at the nickname he was given.
"Why should I entertain that idea of yours hmm?" he stepped closer to you, pressing you against the car.
"Mmm because you would do anything for me?" you guessed, seeing his eyes drop from your own to your mouth as your tongue darted out to lick your lips.
"You're lucky. Cause I would. Get in the car pabo." he said with a wink that made your heart stop for a moment.
"I promise you'll have fun!" you tried to hide your lie with a sarcastic tone. Setting down into the drivers side while Yoongi slid into the passengers side.
"Mhmmm sure" he groaned.
As soon as the bell chimed when you opened the door to the studio, all the kids flocked to you excitedly.
"Hey guys! I'm excited to see you too!!!" you bent down to their level to whisper to them. "And I brought my special friend who's gonna dance with us okay?"
"I'm gonna what now?!" Yoongi asked wide eyed.
You looked at him with a smile. "You're going to help me teach these kids to dance." You took a chance and winked at him.
"Nooooo. Y/n that's not gonna work." he stated.
You turned to the kids making sure that your voice was low enough that he couldn't hear. The lot of you turned your attention back to Yoongi who looked quizzically right back at you. "Y/n, what are you doing?"
"Oppa," you said in the sweetest voice you could muster up. "It would make me - I mean the kids really happy if you danced either us." You bat your thick eyelashes at him while sticking your bottom lip out pouting.
Looking at the kids to signal that they do the same to try and convince him to give in and dance. You watch his eyes travel from your face to all of the kids in the room.
"Fine!" he groans as they excitedly jump up and down. "You guys are lucky you have such a cute teacher." Your face turns beet red as the kids giggle. Yoongi clears his throat making you look back at him. "How good are these kids?" he asked. You simply walked away from him to go turn on the stereo. "You guys ready to warm up?" Various 'yeahs' and head nods answer your question. "Just watch them," you tell Yoongi.
Before he can mutter a word, the beginning chords of EXO's 'Monster' starts and he is almost instantly impressed. You wander over to him seeing the look on his face as the kids make you proud. "They're good huh?" you nudge his shoulder.
"Hobi would absolutely love to see this!" he says. "Maybe we can bring him in next time?" he said more to himself than you.
"So which dance do you think they can handle?" You asked.
"Hmmm. Any one really. But I think they'd excell at 'Fire' I mean it's more of a group dance. Simple enough yet not too simple to the point of boredom." You nod your head agreeing.
Some time after you two began to instruct the kids on the 'Fire' dance you walk off to your duffle bag. Taking a long drink of refreshing water, an idea runs through your mind. You subtly grab your phone and began to record a short video of Yoongi dancing with your troopers. Quickly sending it to the rest of the boys, not waiting for any replies you return to them as soon as they get done with the dance.
"Ready for a break guys?" you ask and they all walk off to their cubbies to get their water and towels. "You're such a natural with them Yoongs."
He shrugs "It's nothing really." he says reaching for your water. You can't help but notice the beads of sweat that rolls down the side of his face. He tips the water bottle up to his mouth, and you bite your lip at the memory of his lips on yours.
The chime of the bell on the studio door sounds making you turn to see Jimin, Jungkook, and Hoseok walking in.
"What're you doing here?" Yoongi asks surprised.
"Y/n sent us a video earlier and we just had to see it for ourselves! " Hoseok says rather hyped about it.
He turns to you, "Really?"
Laughing at his expression.  "Like I said you're a natural with them. I thought the boys would enjoy seeing it."
"She's right hyung!" Jimin chirps in.
"Who would have thought? Yoongi-hyung is a natural with kids. One of the most grandp-"
"Watch it maknae, " Yoongi warns.
The little discussion was interrupted by Mina tugging on her shirt. "Excuse me Miss y/n but are we going to get back to practice?"
Hoseok laughed "I like her!"
"Sorry about that Mina. Some friends decided to stop by and dance with us. Right boys?" They glance at each other collectively agreeing.
"Might as well" Jimin said taking of his hoodie. The boys stretching as the kids stand in their designated places.
After they decided they were ready to give it a go, you turned the music back on. The boys spread themselves amongst the group while you and Yoongi remained up front. Hoseok and Jimin were hyping up the kids with words of encouragement. Jungkook was focused on looking cool in front of them which made you smile. He was always effortlessly moving with the music. Before you knew it, the song was over and everyone was a slightly out of breath.
"Wow wow wow guys!" Hoseok shouted. "You guys are better than me!" Jimin huffed, putting on a show for the kids.
"Everyone is better than you hyung," Jungkook jokingly said.
"Play nice Kookie," you retorted.
A few of the parents started to show up to collect their kids from the class. Bowing and exchanging pleasantries with them. You chatted with the parents, praising their kids while the boys said their goodbyes to them.
One by one the kids left with their parents. Natalya was the last to leave, she tugged on your hand to get your attention. "What's up Natalya?" She opened her mouth to say something but because of her shyness you couldn't hear her. You bent down to her level.
"Are they going to come back and dance with us again?" you smiled at her.
"I don't know. Why don't you ask them?" you lightly pushed her towards the boys. "Guys Natalya here has a question for you."
They turned all of their attention to the eleven year old in front of them. "Yes?" Jimin asked.
She looked at you for help, "Go ahead ask."
"Um," she paused. "Will you umm, be coming back to dance with us again?" She finally uttered.
Surprising you and the other three boys, Jungkook stepped forward and leveled with her. "Of course we will Natalya. We had a lot of fun today right hyungs?" he asked turning to them.
"Yeah we did!" Hoseok said cheerfully, and the others nodded in agreement.
Her face lit up as bright as Hoseok's smile when Jimin said she was one of the best dancers he's ever come across.
"Come on Natalya!  We've still got to pick up dinner on the way home," her mom said opening the door.
"Coming mom!" She shouted back at her. She rushed to each of the boys giving them hugs. It made your heart melt to see that. They gave her the confidence she's needed.
"Good bye oppa!" She said to Jungkook as she wrapped her arms around him. He usually hated being called oppa but he allowed it this time. He blushed as he said goodbye in return.
Jimin and Hoseok teased Jungkook about the 'oppa' remark as they headed outside, leaving you and Yoongi alone.
"Thank you for doing this today. You really didn't have to you know," you said reaching for your bag. Yoongi's hand beat you to it. "I can carry my own bag, you've done more than enough for me today."
"I know and I'd do anything for you y/n," they way he said your name made goosebumps rise on your arms and your face to turn slightly red. "I love that I can make you blush like that." he whispered stepping closer. You raised a hand to rest it on his chest.
"I hate that you can do that." you replied leaning in to him.
"Mmm but it's so cute." he said biting his lip before lightly placing them on yours. You could definitely get used to this. Before either of you could deepen the kiss, you were interrupted by hooting and hollering from the boys. They were pressed up against the glass watching you two.
"Idiots," you scarily said at the same time.
You turned the lights off before locking the door behind you. Yoongi took your hand in his, intertwining your fingers. "You guys want a ride home?" you offered walking towards your car. "I know I said I wanted to hang out afterwards but I'm too tired and too sweaty. So I'm gonna go home and shower before bed."
"I'm pretty sure he likes you sweaty" Hoseok smirked.
"Watch it J-Hoe," you said as Yoongi smacked the back of his head.
You all were laughing and talking while lingering on the sidewalk by your car when a deep voice called out for you.
"Y/n?," everyone turned towards the voice. That voice you knew, the one you dreaded hearing again.
"Lucky," you nodded your head towards him. You felt and arm snake around your waist. You didn't have to look to know it was Yoongi.
"I thought that was you. How have you been?" he asked. Everything about him made you cringe. You never liked him.
"I've been okay. Just working." you felt Yoongi tense up beside you. You looked at him, his eyes were on Lucky, warily watching this man. You glanced at the other boys, they were tense too. They knew by the sound of your voice that there was something off about this exchange.
"Doing...?" he asked.
"I teach kids and high schoolers dance." you kept your answers short and simple. Inwardly groaning at this conversation.
"You were always one of the best dancers. There's always a spot open at the club for you y/n." he winked at you. You heard a low growl come from the depths of Yoongi's throat. Could he be jealous?
"I'll keep that in mind Lucky. Thanks." You said nodding to him. He gave a small wave to you and the boys. You watched the logo of Lucky's Girls on his jacket get smaller and smaller as he walked away.
The exchange left you feeling dirtier than before. You visibly shuddered and Yoongi's grip tightened on you making you feel a small amount of comfort.
"So.....anyways uhhh," Jimin spoke breaking the silence. "We can always hang out another time y/n." You couldn't even find your voice.
"Yeah! I think we're just gonna grab some pizza and then go see a movie or something." Hoseok added. "We don't need a ride. There's a place right around the corner. Ready guys?" They started to walk away slowly.
"Bye Noona!," both Jimin and Jungkook said at the same time. You still couldn't speak so you just waved.
Yoongi took your keys from you and you started to protest but gave up when he gave you a look.
"You're driving I guess," you finally spoke as you both got into the car.
Yoongi put the key into the ignition and turned it to start your car. The low sounds of music filled the quiet car. Before he put it in gear, he turned to you. "Who was that guy?"
"He used to be my boss at this club I worked at." you answered almost immediately.
"Okay. Why were you so uncomfortable? You never act that way." his voice laced with concern.
"Because he's not the greatest boss. He grosses me out," you took a moment to finish your answer. "I wasn't proud of the fact that I worked for him for so long."
"What kind of club was it that made you feel like that?!" he wasn't getting angry, just a little uneasy about the lack of information you were giving him.
"I'm not proud of -" you started to say but only to be interrupted by him.
"You already said that y/n. What kind of club was it?" He asked growing more and more concerned.
You turned to finally look him in the eyes. "A strip club." You watched as his eyes glazed over and his mouth fell open.
A/N: Sorry for all the cringe worthy moments in this part! But as always, thank you for reading!

Nothing Else Matters part 3
Warning: Mentions of drinking
Genre: Fluff
Word Count: 1,720
Pairing: Yoongi x reader
*haha this part might make you cringe at how cheesy it is...sorry
The stinging feeling of the alcohol as it made its way down your throat was almost unfamiliar to you. Sure you've drank before but not like this, not this heavily. You were a beer kind of girl, but tonight called for vodka. You were still l trying to wrap your mind around the fact that you had been rejected. You didn't know what was worse, actually being rejected or the reasons they rejected you. The letter stated many reasons why, mainly being that you had no professional training. That's understandable, they wanted someone who had gone to school for dancing. But how was it okay to reject a person for not coming from a wealthy family? For not matching their standards of beauty? That was not okay, not to you at least.
Your eyes skimmed over the exceedingly rude words yet again, "When you've taken care of your overall personal appearance and have gained a year or two of professional training, we can gladly have you back for another audition." Who the fuck gets off on saying these things?! They have no right! Re-reading the letter was only making you more and more melancholy. Trying to fight off the tears, you took another shot as a knock sounded at your door. Yoongi, you had completely forgotten that he was coming over.
Twisting the doorknob you opened the barrier between you and Yoongi. The sight of him and his cocky smile usually had your heart racing, but this time it had the opposite effect. Upon seeing him, you bit your lip as the unshed tears began to flow freely down your cheeks. Heavy sobs taking over your body. Yoongi immediately set the plastic bags of food and drinks down at his feet to envelope you in a tight hug. It robbed you of your breath.
"Y/n, you're too beautiful to be crying. Why are you crying?" You couldn't even get a word out without choking on them. You were gasping for breath that your lungs desperately needed. He rubbed your back and cooed various comforting phrases into your hair. You hadn't known how long you two had been standing there like that before you finally got your emotions and breathing under control.
You untangled yourself from him to wipe away the last of your tears on the sleeve of your hoodie. "Please come in," you finally managed to croak out. Picking up the bags and drinks, he headed to the island in the kitchen while you shut and locked your door. You walked off to the bathroom to splash some cold water on your face to rid the evidence of your break down.
After patting your face dry you walked back into the kitchen to find Yoongi reading the letter you hadn't bothered to throw away yet. He felt your gaze on him and looked up at you.
"Y/n, I'm so-" you cut him off with a shake of your head. Your rejection was the last thing you wanted to talk about right now.
"I don't want to talk about it right now okay?" he simply nodded his head. You walked over to stash the bottle of liquor away and crumpled up the meaningless paper before throwing it in the trash.
You situated yourself on one of the stools that sat you at the island as he busied himself with getting plates and eating utensils for the food. "I hope you're hungry, I brought a lot." You chuckled at him, classic foodie Yoongi.
Your stomach growled as if on cue, "I'm starving actually." Your voice still sounded a bit hoarse but he paid no attention to that. "What did you bring?"
He began opening the many containers. "Mmm dumplings, gimbap, bibimbap, and chicken kalguksu." All of them were your favorites. He winked at you. "I knew that they're your favorites so that's why I got them. You worked so hard lately. I thought you deserved the best." You smiled at him, silently thanking the heavens for such a man in your life.
He twisted off the caps to a couple of beers and handed one to you, clinking his bottle against yours "Eat well y/n."
"Eat well Yoongi." you replied.
The two of you sat there for what seemed like hours, eating and talking. He let you in on some of the projects him and the boys were working on. You loved the way he lit up at the talk of music. Music for him is what dancing was for you. Life. Everything. You could sit there for an eternity and listen to him talk about his love for the subject. Even after the event of being rejected for the spot, something you desperately wanted, you found yourself smiling. Let's face it, you loved everything about Min Yoongi.
"What? Why are you smiling like that?" he asked nervously.
You sat up straight feeling heat rise to your cheeks, "No reason."
He smiled his gummy smile, "Sure. You're such a bad liar." He stood to start clearing the plates. You got up to put the leftovers in your fridge. Standing almost hip to hip, the two of you did the dishes. He washed, you dried and put away. He stole glances of you here and there and when you caught him he'd look away slightly embarrassed.
After the sink was clear of any mess, you made your way to the adjoining room when you felt the snap of the damp dish towel across your backside. Turning to point a finger at him, "Watch yourself Min Yoongi." Before you knew it, he was right up against you.
"Yeah? What are you gonna do about it hmm?" Surprising you again by taking the tip of your finger between his teeth and biting slightly, making you gasp.
"Ouch pabo! Why you gotta be so rude?" You shrieked. He released your finger with a laugh.
"I have no idea what you're talking about." He pushed past you to sit on the couch and turned on the television. You could get used to the sight of him in that very spot. Without hesitation you settled down right next to him, not caring that you left no space between either of you.
“Hey! I was gonna pick a movie!" he complained when you snagged the remote out of his hand.
"You picked the movie last time. It's my turn." You chose Almost Famous. It was one of your all-time favorite movies. "Besides you haven't seen this one." He huffed but you knew he wasn't mad.
Neither of you spoke a word until you had looked at him for the millionth time trying to gauge his reaction to the movie. "Take a picture it'll last longer pabo," he said eyes never leaving the screen.
You pouted and crossed your arms at his comment. He chuckled at that and tugged on your sleeve to free your arm. You tried to keep them folded but gave up on the second tug, and he took your hand in his. Sweeping his thumb across your skin, the small gesture was so comforting. You laid your head on his shoulder, getting more comfortable as the ‘Tiny Dancer’ scene started playing before you. You hummed along with the classic song.
"This is your favo-" you shushed him. He remained quiet for the rest of the scene as well as the rest of the movie.
When it was finally over you answered his unfinished question, "Yes this is my favorite movie," you tried stifling a yawn but failed. "And yes that was my favorite part." Yawning once again after you finished the sentence.
Yoongi glared at you confusing you for a second before yawning himself. You broke out in laughter at his expression. "It is late. I didn't mean to keep you for so long." You apologized untangling yourself from him to stretch.
"I wouldn't want to be anywhere else." he replied in a tone barely above a whisper. Those few simple words left your heart racing, you no longer felt tired. If anything, you have never felt more awake than in that moment.
He turned to you and brought his hands up to frame your face, "I mean it y/n. I want to be where you are." His warm breath sent goosebumps up and down your body.
"I wouldn't want to be anywhere else either Yoongi." You closed you're eyes in anticipation of his lips connecting with yours. It seemed like an eternity before you opened your eyes to see him staring at you. "Yoongi?" You nibbled on your lip nervously waiting for an answer. "What is it?"
His eyes bore into yours as his thumb pulled your lip from your teeth. "You're just so beautiful. So beautiful y/n, sometimes it hurts."
Your shaky gasp was swallowed by his lips as his mouth finally met yours. You leaned into the kiss you've been waiting for since you met him all those years ago. Your arms wrapped around his shoulders, one hand making its way up to the hair that met the bottom of his neck. Lightly grazing your fingertips through it, he groaned at the feeling. Without breaking the kiss he pulled you onto his lap, your legs setting on the sides of his. He moved his left hand to your lower back, pressing you closer as if that was possible. Feeling bold, you swept your tongue over his bottom lip asking to deepen the kiss. You could feel his fingers play with the hem of your hoodie as his tongue moved in perfect rhythm with yours. You whimpered when you felt his lips pull away from yours. Your forehead leaned against his, both of you not saying anything, trying to return your breathing to normal.
After a few moments Yoongi broke the silence, "Y/n please ask me to stay." You heard the desperation in his voice and decided to tease him.
"Now Yoongi, why would I ask such a thing?" The expression on his face made you giggle. You climbed off his lap and you started retreating towards your room. Glancing over your shoulder at a confused Yoongi and winked. "Are you coming or not?"
Making your way further into your room, not waiting for an answer because you knew what it was as soon as you heard to patter of footsteps behind you.
A/N: Thank you for reading! Sorry for the cheese factor in this chapter :P
