hi mira! I’ve held onto this ask for a bit trying to find the perfect snippet to share — but for you, I’ve scrounged up a good gojo cut scene 🤞🏼

when gojo steps into the luxury ryokan, sliding the door behind him, he’s hit with the heavily perfumed scent of vices. scotch, strawberry.

through the tint of his glasses, he sees you sitting cross-legged on the tatami mat. lips pursed around a pipe, deliberately blowing the smoke in his direction.

“is this your attempt at rebellion?” he says easily, unbothered.

“not really. it’s an attempt at liberation.”

“and how’s that going for you?”

you shrug. the sleeve of the loose robe you wear slides down your shoulder. he stares at the soft curve, sees the bandages around your upper arm.

“come back with me,” he says, smiling. he phrases it like an invitation; blocks the door like an order.

“no,” you say anyway.

“you won’t find any respite here.”

“I won’t find certain death, either.”

he crouches before you, tilts his head so his glasses shift on the bridge of his nose so he can meet your eyes. your pupils are blown, but your gaze is clear.

that’s good, he thinks. you’re cognizant. it might make it easier to reason with you. though, it might make it harder when you inevitably are coherent enough to yell when he manhandles you over his shoulder. then again, he could always warp you both back to tokyo.

as he considers his options, you raise a pastry off one of your dishes. a pink flower, frosting folded into the shape of petals.

“what is that?” he says, senses sharpening as he catches the trace of cursed energy on the sweet. something malignant.

“a treat.”

“a vice.” he knocks it out of your grasp, but not before you’ve already swallowed a bite.

he sees its effect. the cursed energy leaking out of you, staining the hardwood floors. despite the loss of your life force, he sees only the dreamiest expression on your face. a perverse pleasure in such an absurd act.

“I left jujutsu society for a reason,” you say, voice slurring.

“and I’m bringing you back for a reason, too.”

oh my gosh mira, this is too timely because I’ve been considering watching that show lately — I’ve heard it’s really tragic but heartfelt.

from the picture (thank you for sending it!) it looks so evocative. and I also just love tea so!!
